    Mini Pancakes with toppings
    Samantha S.

I used the mini pancake cart for my daughter's first birthday in November 2021. It was a HIT! Such a unique dessert option and experience for our 75 guests. Set up was cute, clean and the topping options were perfect. Served warmed and prepared in front of guests as they order. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to add a unique vendor at a private event.

TIP: ADD $4 FOR A SIDE OF BANANA MAC NUT PANCAKES TO YOUR CHIMICHURRI STEAK Chimichurri steak with 2 fried eggs and 2 banana macadamia nut pancakes: 5/5. I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. Bouncy, snappy pieces of chicken that are not dry at all. Seasoned so well!

They captured the Hawaiian relaxed environment real well. I like their location selection isn't too busy and the dining area is simply decorated and overall provides a "chill" atmosphere environment to dine in. The food itself is pretty good. I ordered the Macnut banana pancake. The portion was huge, I could only finish half. The flavors are ok, could be better. I miss the syrup options in Hawaii... here they only have maple syrup. The macadamia nuts were too soft. In Hawaii there was much more crunch to the pancakes. My family ordered the Kailua pork omelet, soft shell crab pancake and other items. They seem to really enjoy the food and say they would come back. It's a good place to get some island food without flying over to Hawaii. Would come back.

Not even 30 minutes later the whole place was packed. I ordered the Benedict Pancakes ($22) and the seasonal Biscuit souffle pancakes ($18). I also tried the Tonkatsu Curry ($16). For a drink I got the pot of Peach Momo Tea ($6). My benedict pancakes came out first. The souffle pancakes and the tonkatsu curry came out at the same time 30 minutes later. The benedicts weren't bad, but I probably wouldn't get them again. The yolk was solid and not runny and the pancakes were just normal flat pancakes, and they were kind of dry. The tonkotsu and the Japanese pancakes were way better. Both were very flavorful and nice and hot. For the tea pots you also get refills, so we got a lot to drink with that. For a two-person table, it was definitely too small to hold everything that we ordered. Luckily by the time the curry and the pancakes came out I was already finished with my benedict pancakes and was able to give it to them to clear out to make room for the other dishes. Service was good, the wait for the food was long but they were still attentive enough to get us what we needed. Once you get your food they try to get you out as quickly as possible since the longer it went the longer the wait outside was for a table. Overall it was a nice breakfast/brunch experience. It is a bit pricey, but some dishes are better than others. I would come back either for the Japanese pancakes or the curry. The tea was great too. I would probably skip the eggs benedict next time though.

I ordered the champ ($25) which was a massive burger containing beef, cheddar, bacon, pastrami, and avocado. Note that it also comes with a lot of mustard; fortunately I didn't mind but it was a surprising amount if you're not a fan of it. I also tried and liked the breakfast burrito ($20). Knowing what I know now as I write this review, we would return & bring friends here. It's about 78 to 80°F on a Friday a few minutes before 1 pm, surprisingly, it was low key--only a couple tables taken indoors by patrons and a set of guys on the patio. At the door, it said to seat ourselves & I immediately shot to the patio. The set up: once seated, the server comes with menus, you order & it's a sit down meal. Giselle was our friendly & attentive server, young & attentive. Hubby ordered the breakfast burrito ($11.50) & I opted for build your own omelette $11.50 for a 3 egg omelette & choice of two items- mushroom and bell peppers accompanied with breakfast potatoes, and chilaquiles ($13.99) to share. The patio seating is fresh, airy, there are tables, outdoor furnitures (sofas) and bright orange umbrellas for shade. My photos captured these elements. The food arrived shortly, although not all at once. I didn't mind it all because the ambiance was so soothing with the sound of birds chirping away and the background of other patrons talking. The only complaint from Hubby was too many pototo chunks in his burrito. My omelette was hot, fresh ingredients, delectable & the potatoes were mixed with 3 colors of bellpeppers. Oh and the chilaquiles? Pretty darn good! The tortilla chips were crispy, perfect amount of green salsa, freshly diced onions & a sprinkling of cotija cheese. Was I famished or was it that good that I devoured everything? What's left was Hubby's potato chunk discards. Giselle returned a few times to ensure our experience is to our satisfaction & another staff also stopped by to check on us. Such a perfect meal & day-- I'm so happy with this visit. We both loved the lemonade, very refreshing 5 of 5. And while we were disappointed there wasn't any pumpkin pecan cheesecake or key lime pie or pecan pie, we were told they were only special holiday items, we decided on cherry pie a la mode. It's surprising how busy this place is especially for women/girls (maybe souffle is more popular…read moreamong girls?) The only guys you see mostly liley are those who come as part of a family. However I personally think souffle is a glorified version of pancake. It's slightly thicker and more fluffy and if you like pancakes there is no reason why you wouldn't like this (other than the price?). The location is in a strip mall next to the bigger 99 Ranch plaza and parking can be difficult to find especially top side but there is a underground parking lot next door. It can still get busy so you may have to park in that plaza and walk over on busy weekends. Just note this place is busy even in the weekday evenings. There are very few tables so if you are coming as a date/family, you may not find a table. The tables are also small so I wouldn't recommend a large group of more than 4. You order via a kiosk and for drinks they will call your order number. For souffle if you dine in, you can take a number stand and place on your table just like some McDonald's. Souffle is not bad and not too sweet especially with the original flavor.

Souffle pancakes in different occasions always look so pretty, are the best everyone's ever had, some some flavor profiles don't work. Maybe that's why the menu sometimes changes. For example the yuzu grape was completely bland because the yuzu drizzle on top was a thin line i couldn't taste at all. At least put a spread between each layer or pour a lot on top like the others (eg berry or mango). The mint leaves was the most potent flavor in this dish. Over the grapes, blueberries, matcha powder, yuzu. Got the mango triple layer drink this time and if you drink it carefully, you can appreciate the contrast from the mango puree, the milk, the creamy salted matcha. If you just mix it up completely you won't get that affect. One thing that bothers me is because the menu changes I seem to always be unable to get something I'm thinking of from the previous visit. I recall last time I had some mochi and rice ball I added to a drink that was so damn good and I couldn't add it this time. Though I recall that drink being $11.50 from the add ons. The souffle pancake was $21... so place is $$ but again the quality is there. Service wise, never interacted with staff really. Kiosk to order. Drinks just sit at counter when done. Didn't call numbers. Oh they did bring the pancake, no words spoken.
