That would have been enough to get them to my first level of peripatetic sainthood, hands down. But it gets better. A couple of years later, I stored my things at EZ Storage again in preparation for my next cross-country move (again with free pickup, thanks to a sweet student-moving deal). I'd already landed on the west coast when the moving plans changed from driving to shipping. Ray built a pallet, packed my things onto it, and helped with shipping logistics, for a very very nominal charge. Who does that?! Would I still have all my things without Ray and Sue? Probably... but maybe not. Would I be able to think about moving without flinching? Not a chance. Would I have such faith in humanity and the kindness of relative strangers? A resounding no! In short - Ray and Sue are local treasures. I don't think I've ever said that before about anyone, but they deserve it, and then some. I can't recommend EZ Storage highly enough.

They were helpful and friendly upon booking and collecting my deposit. Their pricing was in line with other quotes I received so I felt they were legit. They told me they would call 2-3 days prior to the move to let me know the moving time. Never heard from them. I finally got a hold of them and was expecting them the following morning. Instead I get a text message the morning of the move " This is all my sons the dispatch dept, I had 2 crews call out sick and we will not be able to make it today..." No phone call from a customer service rep, no apologies - a text message?!! Again hard to get a hold of them but I finally spoke to the dispatcher who couldn't have been more rude, no apologies and basically told me my deposit did not secure anything. When we discussed the possibility of doing the move the next day his comment was he needed me to commit to be put on the schedule as if I changed the move date. The next day we got a text survey to click on the link on why you didn't move with All My Sons moving. Tried to call repeatedly to get back my $100 meaningless deposit of which I am sure I will never see. Makes me question if they are even a legit business or a scam.

And when l ask them will the price go up, they said "In 3 to four months we will call you before the price is go up to negotiate the price" And when l asked them how much they will raise the price to, they told me that they can't say and that they will give me a call before the price raises. Well.... They lied. It went from 40 to a $100 real quick. They try to take $98 out without calling me. I call them and they wouldn't pick up. I left a msg and they wouldn't call back. So I cancel it and quickly took my things out of the storage, the same day, before they figure out that l cancel my payment and told my bank to not let them take out. They tried to toss my stuff out.
