My new local spot now that Todai is not the same. Great fish quality, Japanese style sushi, and the appetizers were also solid with our fav being gyoza. Service was solid - it wasn't quite a busy lunch rush but they seem to do a ton of take out business too. The only area they kind of fall short is ambiance, but I wasn't expecting Nobu, and it seemed clean to me. Minori has clearly gone downhills when the older Korean server isn't working. The younger Korean server has no clue of what customer service is. The restaurant was a full house today however there was some tables finishing up. Hubby and I came in and we weren't acknowledged at all. I had to ask her for a table for 2. Her response was we're full and walked away from us - as if she was suggesting us to leave. This isn't the first time that she's treated us like this. Couple months back, we came in at 8:10PM and she had refused to serve us, saying that they were closed already despite that their hours of operation was to close at 9PM. There were two tables that were finished and wanted to grab their bills but the server was taking her time. Hubby and I got so frustrated that we just left, we've been going here so long now every single week and this is how we are treated as regular patrons. There's better Korean owned sushi restaurants out there where the server isn't clueless on customer service. read more

Good place to go for Japanese. Consistent and friendly service. One of the only places that will substitute seaweed for soybean paper.

Went there for dinner tonight with my mom and sister. Pretty small place so we were glad to get a booth. There was a high volume of take-out coming out of this place, a very good sign. A lot of the customers seemed like regulars which was pretty cool. Down to the food. The miso soup was great. All the rolls were very fresh, the rice was made just right and my mom couldn't believe how fresh the shrimp was. The prices were good too. For three of us we ate our fill for just under $33 combined. There was only one lady there for service so it was a bit slow but the place was warm and relaxed so we just sat back, drank tea and chatted. Overall a place I will def be back too. read more

I come here all the time. Their ramen and chicken karage are both to die for! I'm a die hard sushi fanatic and this is my go-to place for sushi most of the time. The prices are pretty reasonable and they have a lot of cute little dishes and great presentation, awesome for taking pics. The place is small, but roomier than other small sushi joints. They get quite busy around dinner even on weekdays,k, but they still hustle and get food out at a reasonable pace. The workers are always very polite and smiling and friendly. Thanks! :) read more

It's always nice to experience intimate places like this one. This is maybe a 30 seat restaurant. I was greeted right away by the sushi bar staff and the one and only hostess/server. I was seated immediately. I ordered the wild sockeye salmon sashimi, a rainbow roll and a deep fried California roll. Check the pics. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the sashimi and how nice the quality of the sushi rolls were. All fresh tasting and not frozen. It took a few minutes to get to me and that's ok. The restaurant part of Minori is fairly small, two booths and a small handful of tables. It can get quite busy, especially on holidays and long weekends, and the wait can sometimes be long. The food it self is good, the menu has a fair amount to choose from. There are a few vegetarian dishes, and non-fish based dishes. The tempura is very well done here, as is the sashimi. It's a nice place that's very welcome as the rest of the area is lacking in take out places. read more

The restaurants pickup time went from 7:40 to 8:10. Arrived at 8:10 and the order wasnt ready. No time was given for when it woild be ready. Finally at 8:30 it was ready, however... the restaurant proceeded to give my order by accident to another customer who took it into their car. The restaurant owner ran out when they realized their mistake and took the order back from the other customer and back into the restaurant. A few minutes later they came out and gave my order back to the other customer, and back into their car. then quickly realized the mistake again took it out and gave it to. I expressed my frustration that they had given my order to someone else. The owner lied to me and said the other customer never touched it and it was never in the car. When we finally got the order home, the beef, chicken, rice and miso were all cold. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant again. read more

Best sushi around! Ingredients are always fresh, the rolls are small and easy to get down in one bite unlike lots of other places I've tried where the rolls are huge and require 2-3 bites causing them to fall apart and make a mess. read more

I went through high school eating at this sushi place. It's pretty much an old hole in the middle of fast food chains and corporations. It's not the best sushi place out there with this wow-factor but it is very close to my old high school and therefore became a regular hangout for after school, weekends, and spare blocks. The sushi is delicious and they also serve huge servings of yam tempura which hits me right on the spot. It's nothing special to a passerby but many of us who grew up eating here hold a very special place in our hearts for minori. read more

A favorite of ours right now. We ordered from here a few times (takeout only, so far) and were very satisfied with the food. Pricing is a bit higher than some other sushi restaurants in the surrounding vicinity. But for it being in the Delta location - I am happy. I know they could be charging more because they don't have any competition in the immediate area and are often quite busy. So far we have ordered: salmon maki, tuna maki, california roll, tempura roll All have been excellent. We will order the sashimi next time. If it is fresh and the pricing is fair then I will hop back on here and up my review to 5 stars! The only demerit is that the staff are not very warm and are prone to getting the order wrong at times. I notice that other reviewers have mentioned this as well. But I find these things so trivial anyway... in the end I really only care if the food is up to par and the place is clean. What I don't understand is when staff are downright rude. I have yet to experience this here... I've heard the mixed reviews, but so far everything has been great. I am curious as to the dine-in experience however! read more

This is my go-to sushi place when I want simple, unsophisticated sushi. They have mastered the California roll and all the other basic sushi. I'm a stickler for Miso Soup, and this place has nailed it. The service is top-notch, the wait staff is consistently polite and efficient, which I always appreciate, and I never wait more than 15 minutes for my order to be on the table. I've been here a couple times as its in my neighbourhood and have also ordered for takeout but can't say that I've been impressed. Their food is pretty standard but I find their portions smaller than most Japanese restaurants that are in the same price point. That being said, their take out portions are even smaller which isn't worth it at all. This would be my last resort Japanese place. read more

The girls in my office (myself included) are OBSESSED with this sushi place. It's well worth the 15-20 minutes it takes us to drive there. The yam tempura roll is crazy good. So is the agedashi tofu. I would have given them 5 stars, but the service is kinda slow. And even though I call in my order, I swear they don't start making it until I get there.... so I have to sit and wait. As a side note, I have only ever had take out, never eaten in. As another side note, I have a friend who drives from downtown Vancouver to eat here, at least once a month. read more

Really the best sushi I've had in north delta. Consistently very good. Wait times are a bit steep usually 45-1 hour.
