Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and me personal favorite meal of the day. The price is very low considering what they give. My fav is the Classic Sausage or the Eggs Benedict. Min's Kitchen is one of Concord's hidden gems in my opinion. It's tucked away in a little shopping square off of Clayton Road which is easy to pass by. The owners are so very friendly and very proactive with their business. Lilly is an amazing server and always treats us with the most love and care. The food is well-priced and very tasty diner food. This place just gives off little town home diner vibes. It's casual and comfy. It's almost always packed for brunch time. The mimosas are delicious and they pack a punch! I love that the portions are huge and you can take home the rest for later. You've got to try this cute and homey diner. The wait can be long especially on the weekend. Great mom and pop breakfast/brunch spot. If your are looking for classic American comfort food that comes at a reasonable price then this is definitely the place to go. My wife and I always order the Irish Benedict and it is quite delicious. The team there is really friendly and very attentive. The owner is a very sweet lady who truly cares for her customers. The only bad side is the restaurant could use a bit of a better cleaning in between tables but other than that this is a place I would highly recommend if you have not tried it yet. read more

Oooohhh my flippin' GAWD Min's! Why are you doing this to me?! Making me fall in love with you after the first bite! You have given breakfast a whole new name! My tummy LOVES you! I have found a new appreciation for breakfast now. Min's has been in my bookmarks now for a while. I'm not the biggest breakfast person, so it often takes me a while to try new places for breakfast and brunch. I was craving for a hearty breakfast today and decided to finally give Min's a try. It's located in the same shopping center that houses Mountain Mike's Pizza and Fitness Revolution right off of Clayton road. Although there is a parking lot, it gets crowded easily since it is shared between many other small businesses in the plaza. I was able find a parking spot in front of the nail salon on the other side. I walked into a very busy scene that was lively and crowded. The smell of greatness instantly hit my nose and I grabbed a seat at the bar. I was greeted by the lovely Mehe, who asked me what I wanted to drink. I decided to keep it kosher and opted for an iced tea with lemon. Mehe handed me a menu and gave me a moment to look it over. The menu was packed with all kinds of different breakfast and lunch options. However, my eyes focused on the combination eggs benedict; Poached eggs over Dungeness crab, shrimp, and avocado topped with hollandaise sauce and served over an English muffin. Mmmm! I knew I just had to have it! Mehe told me that I made a great choice and that the combo benedict was one of their most popular breakfast items. She also suggested that I add onions and bell peppers to the hash browns to give it a burst of flavor, which I happily did. While I waited for my food to arrive, I fixated my eyes on all of the food items that were constantly coming out of the kitchen. The fluffy French toast with melted butter, the Reuben sandwich packed with corned beef, and the loaded house salad with fresh lettuce and vegetables. Everything just looked and smelled amazing! The cooks here were really doing an awesome job with the presentation. It got me super excited and anxious to try my combo Benedict. My combo eggs benedict arrived and lord JESUS! Can you say massive, gigantic, enormous, Ginormous?! That thing was HUUUGE! It looked so beautiful! I could see the crab and avocado just oozing out! I cut right into the middle of one of the eggs and the yolk just drizzled down to the plate in slow motion. I peeped the inside of the benedict before I took a bite and I just had to snap a picture! I mean it was FULLY LOADED! Stacked with loads of crab, shrimp, AND a ton of fresh avocado! I literally just stared at it in disbelief for a second. I finally took my first bite and I nearly melted just like the yolk. I have never had a benedict as fresh as the one that I've had here! The crab, the shrimp, the avocado... even the freakin' hollandaise sauce tasted extremely fresh! Mehe later told me that they actually make their hollandaise sauce in house from scratch. I knew something was different about it because it just tasted too amazing! The bell peppers and onions were a nice additive to the hash browns! The hash browns tasted really good but the addition of the veggies ended up making them a little soggy. I got through half of my meal and I had to take a little break. I was determined to finish the entire thing, even if my belly exploded from it! I forced myself to clean my plate and Mehe complimented me for a job well done! It was the funniest thing because I think she really thought that I was done during my "break". Nope, this girl can EAT mmkay? No "food" left behind! The combo benedict costed $16 and was truly worth every single penny! It's the best combination eggs benedict that I have ever had! The service here is impeccable, and Mehe was such a joy! She only works at Min's on the weekends, so ask for her if you go. I highly recommend the combo eggs Benedict! It's a breakfast lover's MUST try! It's even better for people who aren't a big fan of breakfast because it will make you fall in love with breakfast again! So glad that I finally came here! It has been a while since we stopped by Min's. We were surprised to see how empty it was. In the past it has always been crowded. Maybe Monday is a slow day. Or maybe it is because the table was sticky, the scrambled eggs served cold, the ham too salty, and the sourdough toast more like warm bread -- not toasted. On the other hand, my garden omelet was large and quite tasty. The house-made hash browns were sliced, not shredded. Good change. Very much a "home town" diner atmosphere. Nothing terribly wrong, but nothing terribly great. Many other breakfast options in the area so we won't be hurrying back any time soon. read more

Quite a disappointing breakfast today. Coffee, while hot, was very weak. When food arrived, the hash browns were cold and eggs warm. Unable to get attention of service person, we her when check arrived that part of food was cold and not much response. Too late anyway, and then while paying the bill, signed the card charge, and the owner pointed at the tip part on the receipt, asking us to fill it in. Weird, since we usually leave cash. For the 2 of us, there was a charge for 3 cups of coffee @3 dollars each. All in all, $43. for breakfast is a bit high for mediocre. read more

Came here with Mom and Bestie (Lin) after a friend from church recommended. It's Sunday and we typically grab a bite after church. Thanks for the recommendation. Our waitress was Star and she was amazing. Very pleasant, beautiful smile and patient. She also made suggestions which I love. Mom and Bestie ordered and shared the Crab Benedict and I ordered a breakfast sandwich on sourdough of course bacon extra crispy. Let me just say, I don't know if they have fairies in the kitchen or what because the food came out so quick and it was hot. Mom and Bestie both totally loved the Crab Benedict and after two bites in, Lin said she wished she would have ordered her own. I'm not a fan of Benedicts because I don't like poached eggs, however Mom allowed me to taste the crab and OMG, the crab was so delicious, had a nice sweetness to it. As you can see in the picture, instead of the french fries, I substituted for a salad and I was totally surprised by the size. My only wish was that the entire salad was spinach, I don't eat iceberg lettuce. The blue cheese dressing was very good, I meant to ask if they make their own. Again this was our first visit and we will be back. Bestie has already said we're definitely coming back in the next couple weeks. We were looking for a new local breakfast place and found this great spot through Yelp. Large menu selection and will allow you to customize (for additional charge). Huge and homemade pancakes, got a plain and blueberry - blueberries were nice and fresh inside. Hubby got the chorizo omlet which was huge and came with crispy hash browns. Added spinach to my California Benedict, really fresh not greasy, with crispy bacon inside. Coffee cups were filled at all times (which I love). Don't judge a book by its cover... the decor and color palette of the outside of Min's kitchen would make you think you may be entering a cute Pho spot, or maybe a bougie drink shop that serves grass or protein shots... That's all cleared up the minute you open the door and the specials board heralds hearty breakfast favorites like chicken fried steak or eggs Benedict. I came here a few weeks ago on a weekend for breakfast around 10am. Our party of two was sat immediately. The food is very affordable and basic - presented plainly. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which I enjoyed very much, they were thick and fluffy without being undercooked in the center. My friend got the standard pancakes, canadian bacon, and sunny side up eggs. If you want a quick and general breakfast that is not outside of the box, then this is the place to go. The reason that I did not give 5 stars is because it took a long time for our water to arrive and we had to remind the server. Also, the place could use a thorough cleaning. read more

The restaurant was very busy with a long wait time for a table. We decided to sit at the counter so that we could avoid the wait and get served quickly, That strategy failed. It took 10 minutes to get a menu and another 30 minutes to get our order after asking numerous times about our order and why it was taking so long. The gentleman sitting next to us experienced the same problem. We had approximately 20 minutes left to eat. On slower weekend mornings, the service can be uneven. I generally call in to get crab and avocado eggs Benedict and it's perfect. The hash browns are indeed a soggy, unseasoned mess but I always make sure to get them extra crispy and season them myself. I also get a side of bacon which is good. Today I tried to call in an order and heard immediately "HOLD!!" And I was like"...ok". So I sat on the phone listening to clanking and order taking for 6 minutes before hanging up. I've tried calling back but they apparently just set the phone down and forgot about it. Min's Kitchen was an unexpected disappointment. it's specialty is "home style cooking". unfortunatley, it resembled my home cooking: burnt. seating is in booths, tables, or at the counter. booth seating was adequate, not cramped. only issue were the twin metal support stands .under the table. (inhibited leg movement) eats: corn beef hash with hash browns (8.75) -hash brown mostly burnt, looked more like mash potatoes than potato shavings -hash also slightly burnt, not so tasty, didn't taste home made, bits of corn beef in it. -food qualtiy didn't match the price drink: "america's best" coffee (1.75) -wasn't their harsh blend, just average, kind of smooth, better than farmers crumbs: -service, coffee refills, checkins superb -open for lunch and breakfast, dinner just some days. read more

A cozy breakfast place with great breakfast foods. That being said, the wait and the service can be pretty bad. We were seated pretty quickly, but our waitress did not take our order until we waited for 15 to 20 minutes, and we did not get our food for another 30 to 45 minutes after that. People who arrived after us were seated and got their food before us. Other than our bad waitress, the food was pretty good. The portions and prices are good. The fresh squeezed orange juice is sweet and refreshing. It is definitely a must when you are thinking of what you want to drink with your breakfast. Coffee is constantly being refilled, but I wish they would do the same for water. My usual breakfast is the chorizo scramble with hashbrowns and sour dough toast. The eggs are always good here and I like how they cook their hashbrowns: greasy but not too greasy. I also like the way they cook their bacon: crispy. Sometimes the toast is only lightly toasted, but I prefer a crunchier toast. Overall, the service can be a hit or a miss. The food tends to be consistent and the orange juice is yummy! This place is money!! My friend Dave has been talking about this place for a while and I finally went with him to give it a try today. The place was almost packed when we got there but got seated right away. We quickly ordered since we were in a hurry. Dave had the breakfast burrito and a cup of coffee and I had the breakfast sandwich with extra crispy hash brown. It took them a while to get our food out (probably because of the crowd, unfortunately the wait was too long so minus one star). My breakfast sandwich was excellent, an English muffin stuffed with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese. The hash brown was simply the best I've ever had! It only took me 40 years to find it! Dave's breakfast burrito also looked great. From what I could see, it was loaded with scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese all rolled up in a tortilla. Dave couldn't finish the burrito even though he works out religiously. I spoke briefly with the owner, who happens to be Korean. This is her first restaurant after a decade in the food business. She originally wanted to open Min's in Walnut Creek but the rent is just too high there. Walnut Creek's loss is Concord's gain. It's nice to see a small business like Min's thrive. I will definitely go back there again and I highly recommend this place to you all! read more

Tried this spot out because of the glowing reviews here on yelp. My experience wasn't spectacular, but still good. I had the eggs benedict, and it was delicious. They put LOTS of hollandaise on it, so if you don't like it that way, you should ask for it on the side. The potatoes on the side were pretty good...would have liked them a little crispier. My daughter got her usual waffle (she orders that everywhere, no matter the time of day). She loved it. I tasted a little and thought it was a little heavy. I like my waffles more fluffy and light. Service was pleasant. Reasonably priced. Will definitely come back to try out their lunch items. read more

Min's is a very popular neighborhood joint, and we were lured in by so many positive reviews! Very busy on a Saturday morning but we still got a table no problem. The restaurant's interior is much bigger than its meager strip mall surroundings suggest, and the whole restaurant was full of energy, not to mention lots of obvious regulars. The bright yellow walls and fun artwork will give you plenty to talk about and admire while you wait for your chow! BF and I started our Saturday right with Benedicts, his with a sausage patty and mine with crab, shrimp and avocado. Both came with hash browns on the side and while they were tasty, they were definitely unusual - more of a fried potato pancake than standard potato shreds. But they're cooked the way hash brown lovers dream - crispy on the outside, and creamy inside. Yum! My benedict was a very healthy portion, piled high with the seafood and avocado. Everything tasted fresh, and the avocado was actually probably the most delicious part - who knew! Poached eggs cooked fairly well, one was runnier than the other, and very tasty. Round it out with two sodas, and we had a very hearty breakfast for $26! We paid at the counter and a woman I assume was the owner told us about their newly remodeled bathrooms which were clean, spacious and pretty! She seemed genuinely surprised that this was our first visit, and it all just adds to Min's charm - all are welcome, and well taken care of. Let me give a slight disclaimer...do not go in here if you have even the slightest hint of a hangover. This place is packed to the rafters on a week-end morning and the volume is extremely loud. Slight Hangover and volume aside this is the best breakfast I've had in ages. My friend Erin S ordered the Crab Benedict. The name should be 'The Crab' instead because that is what this dish is all about. Not just a piece here and there hidden in the hollandaise but entire chuncks of leg and claw meat. There must have been an entire KING crab in this dish. Not to mention the whole avocado. I ordered the Florentine Scramble with Jalapeno. This dish was good on it's own but I almost couldn't put my fork down when it came to those glorious potatoes! Jean described them as 'frozen shredded mushiness'! There was a layer of crusty, crispiness on the ouside and moist goodness on the inside. If these things started out frozen I am a all about the frozen food aisle! When we first saw the plates being delivered I was impressed that the serving sizes were not obscene.....until mine came. While not too much it was definitely more than I could eat. Oh yum! This place not only met my expectations but exceeded them! I came here for their eggs benedict by only looking at the pictures alone, and this is by far the best eggs benedict spot I've tried in the east bay. Not only do they offer just eggs benedict, but they offer seven different versions of the dish! Service was a bit slow, but it was understandable being that it was a Sunday afternoon. Perhaps since this is a fairly new restaurant their servers are still getting adjusted to the joint. Also note, their side of biscuits and gravy was damn good, despite the square brownie shape to the biscuits. And their salads? We didn't order them, but saw some of the orders from the other patrons and they looked huge and damn good too. read more

Went here with Laura D for a little after-birthday, birthday brunch. Sat in the parking lot for a few minutes, thinking why did I pick this place for Laura's birthday (area and parking lot is a wee bit sketchy), only to end the meal thinking the same thing in a very different context (great meal + cheery atmosphere + good price = happy brunch)! I had an egg white omelet that was filled with fresh ingredients, raisin toast and these smashed hash brown things that were so delicious. Went to Min's Kitchen this weekend just to try one of their benedicts. Saw on their reviews that those are the most popular and/or suggested. We arrived around 11am, walked in and seated ourselves. I was expecting to see a little hole in the wall type spot but it was a decent size restaurant with plenty of clean and open tables and booths and random art deco paintings on the wall. I ordered the COMBO BENEDICT (Dungeness/Shrimp/Avocado) which came with hash-browns. The English muffins were an average size topped with medium/chunky pieces of crab and thick bay shrimps. On top of that were slices of fresh avocado and perfectly poached eggs covered in hollandaise sauce. The hash-browns were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. It did NOT fail at all and was a dang good benedict. It was very filling, I didn't even finish the other one. My step-son ordered the BACON & EGGS plate and subbed the hash-browns for fries. The bacon slices weren't thin at all, a good size and amount. The only thing is, they were a little burnt for him. Husband ordered BLUEBERRY PANCAKES, which was good too. 2 thick and fluffy average-size pancakes (plus one mini size on top) mixed with but not drowned in blueberries was very filling. I'd definitely return just to order the benedict again and also to try other items on the menu. The service was good, pretty quick and they kept the coffee coming. The price was pretty reasonable. We got above plus 2 OJs, bottomless coffee and a hot chocolate for less than $40 (including tip). read more

This past Sunday we came here for breakfast and I must say this is my new fav go to place for breakfast in Concord. I had the fiesta special and everything was tasty and fresh. From the coffee to the flour tortilla, avocado, salsa and potatoes. I could go on an on. When I ordered the dish I didn't know it came with eggs and when I recieved the dish they brought me eggs cooked medium which I don't like so I asked for scrambled eggs and literally within 2 minutes it went back to the kitchen and came out with scramble eggs. Super fast and friendly service. We never had to ask for refills since the staff came by every so often with water or coffee. Their chicken fried steak had a good amount of breading as well and the gravy was super yummy. I think I may make this a bi-monthly spot to eat at. read more

Crispy Chicken fried steak hides under the delicious gravy in its own plate. Good place... Best side of fruit I've seen thus far in my life, which my gf seemed to really enjoy. I'm sure most people assume this is a whole in the wall chinese restaurant from the outside, but actually a nice pretty good size american restaurant. We got seated quickly on a saturday morning. We also got to sit in a booth, which was nice to see. Not a lot of mom and pop please like this have booths, I wonder if they installed them as part of the design or if it was there already. Staff was pretty quick and friendly, looked like a mix of family and a few other servers and cooks. Hidden in the corner of a strip mall, Min's Kitchen is not to be over-looked. It looks small form the outside but has plenty of tables for the normal crowds. Right away we were greeted with smiles and hellos. The menu is the traditional diner menu except for a few exceptions (calamari and eggs breakfast and dungeness benedict). Hollandaise sauce here is really good - almost too good. The coffee was fresh and our cups never were empty. The service here is as good as it gets. Not only were we attended to throughout the entire meal, but even the cashier was also very cordial. The waitress seemed to also be around as she was running the other tables and always made it a point to check in with us. Aside from Chef Burger in Pleasant Hill, and Heavenly Bistro in Walnut Creek this is our new favorite for breakfast. There's also a pretty good deli in the same strip mall that makes a great sandwich - Parma. I'll be going back to Min's in the future, maybe for lunch, assuming it's as good as the breakfast. read more
