Such a fun brunch experience dining inside here. We got seated in around 5 mins (wasn't a lot of wait as they have plenty of seating). My husband and I both got their California Benedict (served with their house cut hash brown) and it was really good. Also their coffee cake was so yum. I absolutely LOVE Min's Kitchen (and Min herself, too!). We have been coming to Min's for breakfast and lunch for over five years now, and despite a few "oops" moments, it is our favorite breakfast place in town. And the prices are very reasonable for the high-quality food you get! My go-to is always the "Make Your Own" breakfast skillet, because I like food autonomy (lol) but also because it's a nice simple way to accommodate picky eaters and people with food allergies, etc., just pick what you like and GO! I really appreciate that flexibility and more restaurants should have a make-your-own philosophy when it comes to blendy things like skillets or salads. The food always arrives very hot and eggs are always to order. Their wheat toast is amazing, and I LOVE LOVE that they butter it beforehand so it's nice and melty when you get it. Make sure to ask for no butter if that's not your thing. Diet Coke and other soft drinks flow freely, and it has always been nice and bubbly, no flat or over-syrupy Cokes here! It is in a mini-mall in a somewhat dumpy area of Concord, but don't let that discourage you! The food is delicious, the staff are nice and even funny!, and the parking is plentiful. I am so happy Min's survived COVID-- please support our yummy restaurants. You might have a small wait on the weekends, but M-F you have your choice of booth, bar, or table seating. This was our breakfast spot for over 10 years. Close to home and super friendly service. Most of the customers are regulars. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. I love how the staff recognizes their customers and are happy to see them. My rating is more like 3.5 stars. They offer outdoor seating during Covid-19. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. If they don't have the space, they will make arrangements to get you seated. The menu hasn't changed much since my Iast visit. I ordered the Irish Benedict (I usually order the Crab or Florentine benny) and one of my eggs was overcooked while the other yolk was perfectly runny. The hash browns (top layer) were crispy but the rest of it wasn't. I wish the'd be crispy throughout. Well that's at least how I like to eat them. Unfortunately, the coffee was lukewarm and bland. There was no taste. I was hoping for a nice pick me up. After drinking about a quarter cup, I asked if they could top off my coffee thinking it would get stronger and warmer but it didn't. However, my son ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy and Eggs and seemed to enjoy it. He finished his whole plate. The side order of 2 Thick French Toast was yummy. It was the best dish! We should have ordered 3 slices! My family already started eating their food before I could take pics! Min's Kitchen is located in the El Monte Shopping Center and there is plenty of parking. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is definitely their busiest time so be prepared for a little wait to be served. read more

I don't even know where to start to express how much I love this restaurant. I am an eggs benedict lover and I came to try this place because I heard the eggs benedict was really good here. So I did and it was amaziiiiiinggg. I began coming once a week before work to get eggs benedict. By the third week, the staff started to recognize me and remember my order which felt so cool! All the servers are so sweet and just in general awesome at their job, I see how busy it can get and they handle it so well. Now I'm a regular there and it's one of the highlights of my week. It was a day off, so the Hunny and I celebrated our first day of the girl being back at school. This looked like a good place to have lunch. Min's is a typical casual non-franchised dining spot, hidden in the corner of a small, older shopping center in a 1950s development. It was about 2/3 full, mostly with people who don't have jobs during the day. It has a feel of a neighborhood diner where you eat every week and the waitresses come to know you by name. The food didn't really stand out, but it was good. We both had cheeseburgers, Signature for her and Canadian Bacon for me. I requested hot sauce for mine, and she brought three: Tabasco, Tapatia, and Cholula. Good amount of food for the money, and it was done well. Ham and burger do go together well, not sure why more restaurants don't do it. Not a very memorable experience, but if you're looking for a restaurant for the girlfriends to eat at, or a date spot, or to catch up with long-time friends over a meal, Min's Kitchen will suit you well. I've been eyeing Min's for a long time, YEARS! But I never had the chance to go because the lines during the weekends are super crazy and that always discouraged me. When I had the opportunity to grab brunch with a friend on a Monday, I happily suggested Min's. My friend and I arrived a little past 11am and I was super relieved that it was not too busy. We immediately got seated and placed our orders within 10 minutes. I ordered the Sausage Patty Benedict, while my friend ordered the Min's Favorite (French toast with two eggs and a choice of chicken apple sausage or hot link). Our food came out in a timely manner. My Sausage Patty Benedict was tasty and cooked perfectly, but the hash browns were the best part! I got to try my friend's French toast and it was delicious!!! Next time I am definitely ordering the Min's Favorite. All in all, solid breakfast place with great portion sizes and prices. Service was good. The ladies were friendly and beverages were constantly being refilled. I love how bright and spacious it is inside and it gives off a classic diner ambiance. MIn's is worthy of checking out. I think it's one of the better breakfast places in Concord. Parking is extremely easy as it's located inside a plaza with a large parking lot. However, it does get super busy, especially on the weekends, so expect a wait time. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was busy but I was able to get a seat right away (seat yourself) My server was very kind and attentive, and let me know their hash browns were what they were known for (I usually don't get hash browns ) so I decided to order them with country fried steak and gravy. I'm sad to say that one of my favorite places has been lacking in quality the last couple times I have been in. Last month I ordered a favorite BLT, but the bacon was large pieces and very hard, almost too much so to bite through. The bread was toasted and dry. Yesterday my friend and I had the recommended French Dip, but the meat was dry and tough and my potato salad was terrible - only took a couple bites. It was dry and flavorless. Well-worn diner in a nondescript strip mall with great diner food. While the surroundings ain't fancy the food is excellent and good value. We went for breakfast at 8.30 on a Friday and found the place 80% empty. After seating ourselves we were quickly served. My wife chose one of the specials: California Benedict with avocado and salmon. When The server told me their corn beef hash was home-made I told her I was torn between hash and eggs or the Irish Benedict (eggs Benedict with hash). My wife said "get the eggs, since you can try the Benedict".) So I did. But what came out was the Irish Benedict. I didn't complain because I was hungry and it looked damned good. Sure enough, both Benedicts were delicious. Home made and gently cooked to perfection. The home made hash was great and the home-cut hash browns were as good as any I've ever had. My wife's salmon and avocado were perfect too. The service was attentive--good coffee, readily refilled. The price was cheaper than most diners in the Concord/Walnut Creek. It was just over $30 for everything. Next time, we will bring the kids. read more

I come here pretty often and absolutely love their crab benedict. Their portions are huge and so delicious. I've also tried their crab omelette and that, too, was amazing. Since they've been open for dinner, I was able to try their salmon with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. It was good, but not the best. Their korean bbq was just ok. Breakfast is a sure win. This restaurant is so comforting, especially after a night out. It is one of those cozy little diners that are so hard to find these days. Regulars get to hang their favorite coffee cups on the wall. Our breakfast tasted like regular, diner food. Nothing to write home about, but it wasn't terrible either. Fresh squeezed oj was a bonus. Coffee was ok. Eggs and bacon were just "ok". My "combo" Benedict was good. If I had to do it again I'd probably go with the crab Benedict instead. The combo was more like a shrimp Benedict than anything else. Lots of shrimp, very little crab. The pancake was HUGE. I'm not a pancake person, but their pancakes are pretty light. So although they're pretty big, my stomach didn't feel weighed down. Staff is nice. read more

This place is truly a treasure. When we visited on Saturday morning, it was certainly busy, but yet there was no problem getting a table. Our server, Mehe, was incredibly attentive and helpful in making our ordering decisions. Our food choices were both good, one was a Benedict dish and the other a burrito dish. Portions are generous, but not completely over the top. I would come here for the food, but the service and ambience make an incredible incremental difference. We even had an opportunity to meet Min! A good friend and I have this thing of trying out new breakfast spots every other month or so. The reviews on yelp gave this place a 4 rating so we decided to give it a go. Despite it's location in an older (yet thriving) shopping center in Concord, the food and service were both quite good! I ordered the crab and avocado Benedict. This dish was quite tasty! I was a little skeptical at first but was reassured by our waitress that it was real Dungeness crab. The crab meat was plenty enough and the hollandaise sauce just the right amount. My friend had the Irish Benedict with corned beef hash. Not really a corned beef fan but her dish was really good. They have fresh squeezed orange juice that is delicious! I appreciated the fact that it had lots of pulp and was chilled. Not a fan of room temperature juice. The restaurant is a bit dated. Noticed quite a bit of dust on the light fixture above our booth. Nothing terribly dirty but definitely some opportunities. I forgot her name but our server was very friendly, fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable and portions generous.
