Amongst my top fave foods, curry is at the top. And that includes Thai, Japanese, and of course, Indian curries. A trusty foodie friend recommended that I try this spot, saying it's better than the other fave spot of mine in the southwest location. There's only one way you wanna try this place on your first try, and that's with their lunch buffet so you can sample the different curries. They have a wide range of vegan/vegetarian options, and who woulda thought some of the best dishes would be the vegetarian ones. The chicken tikka masala- 5/5 Kodai paneer (tofu inside)- 4/5 A vegetarian dish with cualiflower and potato I can't remember name- 5/5 (went back for seconds) Vegetable samosa- 5/5 The garlic naan- 5/5 Seasoned chicken- 5/5. Almost tasted a bit Korean. It was SUPER good. Rice- good. Overall, this is now my top fave Indian restaurant in vegas. Like, I'm thinking about going back again as I'm writing this review cuz it was that memorable for me. And I saw a fair amount of Indian folks eating here--that's always a good sign. Service was 5/5- they are nice, check up on you, remove plates that are done immediately so you don't feel guilty or like a fat pig when you come back to your table with your second plate. We frequent the Mint on Durango but found ourselves on this side of town. A much smaller location than Durango, this places makes the most of its space like the original on Flamingo. All the dishes are exactly what you expect from Mint. The tandoori chicken was especially delicious and there was a huge amount of goat rogan josh that made the meal amazing. The surprise today was paneer in a slightly savory mango sauce that blurred the lines of main or dessert, but tasted great on the garlic naan! Polite staff and very attentive to remove plates when you went back up! This is what I've come to expect from Mint and happy there's yet another location to fill the need! read more

After living in San Diego for years and being spoiled by so many incredible Indian restaurants, we've struggled to find Indian food in Las Vegas that truly impressed us. Mint Indian Bistro changed that. This is hands down the best Indian food we've found in Vegas so far. My husband and I both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was absolutely outstanding. The sauce was rich, creamy, perfectly buttery, and had just the right amount of spice without overpowering the dish. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. We also ordered a Mango Lassi, which was delicious--smooth, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. The Butter Naan and Garlic Naan were both excellent: warm, fluffy, and ideal for soaking up every last drop of that incredible sauce. One of the surprises of the evening was a naan topped with cherries. It was something we had never tried before and felt almost like a dessert. Sweet, unique, and a fun way to end the meal. The food tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. It's rare to find a restaurant that exceeds expectations when you've been searching for a long time, but Mint Indian Bistro absolutely delivered. Wow! What an amazing first experience at this local establishment. Spectacular service, excellent flavor and timely delivery of food. The menu is diverse and accommodating of different dietary styles. When you order, all things are custom flavored and you can choose the spice rating from 1-5. I went with the lamb curry dish, spice level 2, and it was outstanding! The meat was perfectly tender without being chewy and the level of spice was spot on. It came with jasmine rice that was warm and fluffy. One of my favorite parts about the menu is that there is a section that essentially challenges you to consume a dish with the hottest chili peppers on the entire planet. If you opt for this, you do need to sign a waiver in order for it to be provided to you. There is also a designated area on the wall where you can be enshrined into their Hall of Fame if you've actually manage to finish this entire dish. When I visited, there were no people posted on the wall. Our party received exemplary service from our waiter Hims. I also was able to meet the owner named Ulzan who was polite and welcoming. Highly recommended if you're looking for legit Indian food in the Las Vegas area. They have three locations in the area. Come for the flavor and stay for the service. We tried the buffet at Mint Indian Bistro for the first time and had a really nice experience, especially for the price point. At $18.99, it felt like a great value for what you get. We arrived right at opening after running morning errands, so the food was extra fresh, which made a big difference. The staff were super nice and attentive, checking in often and making the experience feel very welcoming. Flavor-wise, we really enjoyed the classics like the chicken tikka masala, and there were these spicy fried chicken bites (we think it was Chicken 65) that were so good -- easily one of our favorite items on the buffet. To end the meal, we had rice pudding with a subtle mint flavor (very fitting!) and gulab jamun, which was the perfect finish. The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, which made the whole experience comfortable and relaxed. The naan tasted fresh and warm, soft inside with just the right chew. It paired perfectly with the curry. One thing to note: their spice levels are serious. Level 1 is already pretty spicy, so if you truly can't handle heat at all, you might want to start at level 0. Naan | Soft, fluffy and chewy. ~ Garlic - Brushed with garlic and butter! I have celiac disease so I used to like the gluten-free choices they have--but it's been so hit and miss lately that I don't see myself ever going back. Not sure what's wrong with this place, but I do know nothing is organic...they use a lot of dairy in their sauces...and their chicken meat is probably the lowest grade possible--meaning it's probably full of hormones because it causes extreme inflammation. The salad bar is a joke. They never have enough gluten-free vegetable dishes-- so I almost always end up eating too much chicken and too much rice? The whole point of eating here is so I can get some vegetables--now I can't even get vegetables. and now to add insult to injury... the owner of this chain is buying a private plane: so he can fly back-and-forth in luxury...while enslaving his workers to minimum wage. I'm not usually a fan of Indian cuisine. It's nerve wracking because I never quite understand what I'm ordering. But my husband L-O-V-E LOVES it! So once in a while I'll have to get brave and try it. The thing about Indian cuisine for me is that it's either a bust or AMAZING!! Mint Indian Bistro has made the amazing list! We ventured in while one of the kids was at soccer training, so were on a bit of a timetable. Our GF kid was joining us. We lucked out with the last available table - you know it's something good when it's at capacity on a random Thursday night, although the dining room has a rather limited capacity. The menu - actually menuS - are extremely over whelming. There are three different ones, all two sided. We sort of randomly picked several items, ensuring we had paneer in at least one because I love it. The paneer binyani was over the top spicy. Diner beware, even at a spice level of 2/5 (which was the lowest available on any dish) it was inedible as far as I'm concerned. There definitely should have been a "spicy" icon next to this meal on the menu. Even my husband, who will normally order a 4 or 5 spicy level and love it, admitted it was too spicy. The mango paneer masala on the other hand was fabulous. The perfect level of sweetness in the sauce over my favorite Indian protein. But the Chicken Peshawari was truly the star of the menu - tender chicken in a yummy sauce that we scooped up with the naan just so we could eat it all up! We'll be going back when I'm ready to brave Indian cuisine again, but will be sure to ask about spiciness level to ensure we are able to consume everything we order. read more

Really great vegan selections on their menu. This is my second time doing takeout. Order directly from the website! They are located on Eastern where the space was previously occupied by Jinya Ramen. Today I ordered the vegan vegetable samosa, vegan malai kofta, vegan gobi chili, and vegan tandoori roti. Everything was very good! I also noted that I had a peanut allergy and they were very kind to call me to confirm that I was able to have cashews in my dish. Everything was delicious. Level 3 spice is perfection. Before I became vegan I was in love with butter chicken. I hope that in the future they can make a vegan version and put it on their menu! We ordered the the dahi sev puri, chilli paneer, chat samosa, ghee podi masala dosa, and vegan chili peanut pakoda. The dahi sev puri melted in our mouths but both chutneys were too cold. The chat samosa was on point with well blended flavors all around, while the chili paneer was cooked to perfection. We asked for mild on the dosa and peanut padoka but it was just too spicy and we couldn't unfortunately enjoy it. No need to put extra chilly if it's a mild - it ruins the flavor. Service was excellent and it did get too busy - one waitress is just not enough for a full restaurant. Overall, decent food but I would recommend adjusting spice levels to actually being mild. Honestly this was the worse Indian food I've had. As an Indian who usually makes my food at home I just moved to Vegas and wanted to try it out and will definitely not be going here again. Every time I visit Vegas I have to come here, their Dosa's are so delicious and crispy with the freshly made chutney's that there is an instant smile on my face. I love this restaurant chain that has 3 locations in the area and all are great and have different items between them. Been to one where they had a weekend buffet with many delectable options. First visit to this location. The lunch buffet on a Sunday with ample quick seating. A large carafe of water was on the table and a server came over to ask if we would like naan. We opted for garlic naan and it was delicious plus they gave us two pieces each. Slight wait after our naan order so we went to the buffet area and asked if okay to start. My friend thought about getting a menu. Next time we stop in we will ask for menu right away if we want to look at those items. The buffet included a large variety of Indian recipes which included: rice, chicken, goat, vegan, veggie, salad, several toppings. Spices mild to medium on the food I selected. Everything was delicious. Restaurant is nicely decorated, seating comfortable, and the patio will be nice in cooler weather. Two servers checked on us throughout our lunch and it got more crowded. The competition for south Asian cuisine off eastern avenue is all good and all pretty interchangeable but Mint Indian Bistro is next level. The biryani (lamb is my favorite but chicken is also very good), the tandoori chicken, the eggplant curry, the aloo gobo is excellent, and I know it's just a detail but their chutneys and yogurts are !!! Very nice and efficient. Tipped and on my way. It smelled so good in the car! Got papadum, garlic/butter naan, chicken biryani and chicken tikka masala. The biryani was spicy and so good....my favorite. Papadum is crave-able. The naan could have more garlic butter but it is still good. I've always heard about Mint and was excited to see they opened up a location right next to me! Their lunch buffet is priced competitively and available on the weekends. I wish the food was spiced a bit more, but also understand they cannot make buffets too spicy for the masses. Their chicken tikka masala was great, but in particular I was surprised by the chili chicken which I ended up liking the most. Naan is ordered from the waiters who will bring it out fresh and warm. The space is smaller, cozier, but much better decorated than most Indian lunch buffets in town. Having opened their location right down the street from Taj Palace, it's hard not to compare the two (especially since their prices, to my knowledge, are pretty much identical for lunch buffets). However, I'd say each location does certain dishes better than the other. Taj Place has more offerings for their buffet, while Mint offers nicer ambiance. read more

Rich, luxurious sauce, beautiful color, packed with flavor. They didn't hold back. No cutting corners, no fake ingredients. This was the real thing. The chicken was tender, juicy, not overcooked like you get at those sad little places trying to copy the real ones. This was authentic. Very elite. The garlic naan was so good I thought they brought it straight from India. Big, soft, fluffy, with just the right amount of crisp on the edges. You tear it open and the steam hits you in the face. That's when you know it's going to be a good night. You don't get that kind of naan from just anywhere. You need skill. You need passion. And clearly, they've got both. Service? Very strong. The staff was fast. Smart people. Kind people. They refilled my water before I even thought about asking. That's what winners do. They anticipate. They move with confidence. Nobody fumbled. Nobody forgot anything. It was smooth, it was classy, and it was handled perfectly. The space was clean. Fresh. You could eat off the floors. Not that I would, but you could. It was that clean. Went there tonight to pick up food for my family -- Dec 22. When we got home the chutneys for the Dosas were not included. We called and the manager (Hims?) told me to drive back and pick it up...we live 30 min away and I told him that. He then informed me to make a DoorDash/Uber eats order to get the chutneys...which we would have to pay again. I told him absolutely not. This is horrible customer service.
