    Buffet

Went here with my coworkers during a conference lunch break. It's located in Downtown Denver and they have a lunch special buffet. I'm no stranger to Indian buffets since NorCal has an abundance of them, but this buffet was just alright. Restaurant is a bit aged but you can tell it's been in business for awhile. Buffett itself is a bit small, but it gets the job done. It's a lot of the same rice dishes, curries, veggies and meat with sauce. Chicken was a bit dry, so was the naan bread. Rice had some parts hard and uncooked, and others dry, but that went fine with the curry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think the main issue was that I had to use the shared restroom in the back area and I saw the male staff workers go in and out of the ladies room and I'm not sure if they were cleaning or what was going on, but I figured just to hold it until I got back to the conference.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When me and another customer tried asking about it those workers just shrugged and went back to the main area to work. There aren't that many food options within walking distance but there are other options.

Thanks to my Yelp friend who suggested this place before the show (we have tix to) at the Performing Arts Center 5 minutes away from this restaurant. She said she had dine here once before and enjoyed their food tremendously. She also remembered that the service was also quick. We couldn't think of any better place than this. I was the first one to arrive out of the 4-people group and the time was around 4:45pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining was empty with no diners. The guy who greeted me promptly seated me in a spacious enough 4-people table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior (overall) looks dated and old but was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing I noticed about the place (as soon as I stepped in) was this pleasant smell in the spacious dining room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I couldn't make of it as to what. No musty smell typical in an old(er) looking places such as this. Their menu is quite massive. I didn't bother to take photos of the pages but the entree section lists variety of dishes with detailed descriptions of the ingredients. And they are considerably marked with * (this indicates "house favorite"), V (for Vegan or Vegetarian) etc. It's almost guaranteed that you WILL find at least a handful of dishes you can comfortably eat. Once the second person arrived, we decided to order (we had a show to catch). Since I told her I couldn't decide on as to which (there are so many intriguing dishes on the menu), she and I decided to order two entrees to split. The guy said we would get a large bowl of rice to share between the two dishes. And a plate of garlic naan to enhance the whole experience (you got to have a naan at an Indian place, right?) The two entree we ordered were 1) Baigan Bhertha (traditional vegetarian dish with pureed or stewed eggplant being one of the main ingredients. Excellent dish to order alongside a dish that has meat. Now what I noticed when I got home to look at the receipt was it was rung up as "Baigare Baigan" which is a very similar dish with eggplant being the main ingredient. I think what we got is/was the correct one (Baigan Bhertha) because Baigare Baigan has dash of peanut which I don't think I tasted any of it in it. Both are at the same price of $16.95 (as of early October 2025). Maybe the guy was in a hurry by ringing it up as Baigare Baigan. Whatever the case may be, we LOVED the dish. 2) Chicken Tikka Masala. Very popular dish that many order. Like I said, it became a nice companion alongside the vegetarian dish (Baigan Bhertha). It's always nice to order one vegetarian dish and a dish with meat. The nice contrast we tasted in both dishes entertained our palates. We placed each on a piece of garlic naan (by the way, we enjoyed the naan. Somewhat thin but this made it easy for us to place a few spoonfuls of the main dishes and made a wrap type thing to savor it.) I feel like it was the best Masala I've had (if it's not the best, it's one of the best for certain.) The third person in our group arrived 30 minutes into our dining around 5:30pm. She ordered one of the Paneer dishes (in a light-yellow colored curry; don't know the exact name of the dish.) She let me taste it and this also is/was a solid dish. Hers was made with medium heat (whereas ours were made mild.) I'm not much of a "heat" person and yet the medium wasn't too spice/hot for my palate; I could have easily done medium for our main dishes as well. The guy was busy as he was the only one who was serving the entire place (just so you know, the restaurant started to be filled with people past 6pm.) He was efficient though. And pleasant and professional to add more about the way he was. In conclusion: If I think of Indian food, I will waste no time and go here going forward. This place is solid for every aspect of what a restaurant should have. Like I said earlier, it's not fancy-looking place but which one would you choose, okay-looking interior but with great food or great ambiance but mediocre or not so great food? You know the answer.

Service was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Extensive menu. The food was very good. The samosas were large, slightly spicy and flaky. The surf and turf had excellent shrimp but the lamb was chewy. Tiki chicken masala was flavorful. We ordered medium but maybe should have gone mild. The lamb Saagwala was very good and lamb was tender. Rice was over cooked but the naan was excellent. We had regular and an order of garlic. Lunch buffet would have been a great option at $17.95 a person. Our dinner bill was $77 plus tip.

First night in Denver and was looking for a quick late-night spot to grab to go. Haven't had Indian food in ages and this place popped up. I ordered the Samosas, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Missala comes with Rice, and everything was a hit! I did order the Missala too spicy for my liking, but that was my mistake. I ordered mild spicy, but it had a good kick to it. Samosas and the side sauce it came with were great as well. Staff was nice. Food was ready in 10 minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great spot in the CBD area to check out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We tried this restaurant back in 2019 and thought it was ok but wanted to give them a try again. Oh no, not good tonight. They were not busy and the food came so quick they must have had it already prepared. The dishes were very bland and tasteless. The kofta balls also were burnt and over cooked. Not at all edible. Overall, not much flavor or spice as we ordered it medium. The prices were also high for what you got. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The overall feel was quite rundown and dark.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will not be returning again.

We stopped in for a weekday lunch to try their Lunch Buffet. The buffet is from Monday-Friday,11AM-2:30PM ... not a bad price of $17.95 for all-you-can eat! The long & narrow dining room is primarily decorated in mint green & red. Hence the name of the restaurant, "Mint". There's plenty of seating on the main level & some upstairs, as well as at the bar. When we arrived a lot of the tables were already filled with customers. Soft Indian music was playing in the background. Our Server was attentive & friendly, refilling our water glasses numerous times. As far as parking, there is a convenient parking garage directly across the street & metered parallel street parking. The buffet was a simple, no frills presentation of many Indian dishes. There were two buffet tables, one with rice(s) & entree items, the other was a very minimal salad bar & I think a couple of dessert puddings. I pretty much tried a little of everything, other than the desserts. Unfortunately, the food temperature was luke warm & the spice level was too hot for my palate. The spiciness made it difficult for me to know what the dishes tasted like. From the salad bar I had lettuce, carrots & cucumbers with Thousand Island Dressing, The salad dressing was watery & had very little flavor. In addition, our Server brought us Naan Bread - it was delicious & a great way to sop up the sauces!

Great selection on the menu and wonderful service. My friend had the Alo Saag with chicken and potatoes, I had chicken vindaloo, and mixed vegetable pokara - all excellent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom - weird. You have to get a key and walk down a hallway and out the exit door and down another hallway to a locked multi stall public bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What an experience.

I ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan to go. When calling the restaurant they picked up right away and we're very kind on the phone and was able to pick up quickly and they even texted me when it was ready. They offered me utensils when I came and it was an easy process. The food was delicious. I would return!

I stumbled upon this awesome Indian restaurant just three blocks from the Colorado convention center. we went around 12:30 we were seated immediately. The location includes seating in the bar. we were just in time for the, which included Tikka marsala, curried chicken, lentil, soup, two rices, vegetable, biryani, salad, and more. I tried a little bit of almost everything. I thought that the Teka marsala and curry chicken were the best options, but could've used a little more heat, as I like mine to be on the spicer side. If I am ever in Denver for a conference, I'll be back. This family business was responsive and a nice respite from the crowds of the conference.

MUST TRY SPOT !!! I am so surprised that there is really good and spicy Indian food in Downtown Denver! This is a block away from the Colorado Convention Center. I came for their lunch buffet and everything was AMAZING! I loved their vegetarian basmati rice (good spice), their chicken Marsala was sooo creamy and delicious, and they also had a red chicken that had such a good kick to it. The food made my nose runny so you know it has that good type of spice kick to it! The food was made fresh and kept coming out! The service was good, and the restaurant was spacious and clean. Please come here if you're ever in the area and craving good Indian food!!! Everything is so delicious!!

Came here on a Thursday night and it was not too busy. The workers were very kind and joked with us a lot. We got the samosa, chicken tika masala, saagwala, biryani, paneer, and garlic naan. All very delicious! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant was clean and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Elevated Hospitality: A Masterclass in Event Execution at Tom's Watch Bar…read more I recently organized an event for 120 guests at Tom's Watch Bar in Denver, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the initial contract phase to the final onsite execution, the team proved they are true masters of high-stakes hospitality. The Vision & Planning Working with Joanna during the planning phase was a dream. She is a consummate professional with a sharp eye for detail. She understood exactly how to translate our brand into the space, creating a custom Denver-themed digital design featuring our logo that played across every large screen. The energy it brought to the room was palpable--our Immediate Past President was so impressed she's already requested the same "wow factor" for all our future events. The Spread The catering exceeded all expectations. We opted for a diverse package that catered beautifully to everyone, including our vegetarian and vegan guests. The Savory: The mac & cheese was a crowd favorite, and the chicken tenders were perfectly crispy and moist. The loaded sliders and tater tot bar also kept the energy high throughout the evening. The Sweet: Do not miss the dessert bar. Specifically, there is a peanut butter bar with an incredible internal crunch that is absolutely addictive. The Atmosphere & Entertainment The venue layout is genius. We had a mix of indoor seating for both small and large group discussions, plus an incredible outdoor space with stunning stadium views. We brought in a third-party karaoke vendor, and the staff--Joanna, Zach and Matt--coordinated with them so seamlessly behind the scenes that I didn't have to worry about a single technical detail. Between the karaoke, Jenga, and cornhole, there was never a dull moment. The Service What truly sets this venue apart is the personal touch. Zach and Matt are absolute stars. Knowing I was busy managing the entrance and welcoming guests, they went out of their way to check in on me personally, ensuring I had food and a drink in hand. That level of care for an event organizer is rare and deeply appreciated. If you are looking for a venue that combines a high-energy atmosphere with white-glove professional service, Tom's Watch Bar is the place. Request Joanna, Zach, and Matt--you'll be in the best hands in Denver.

I sat there long enough without a menu that the CUSTOMER NEXT TO ME finally handed me one--shoutout to her for unexpectedly joining the waitstaff. Eventually, one of the two bartenders appeared and took my drink order. About 15 minutes later, the drink arrived. Food, however, remained an elusive concept because he never came back to take my order. To be fair, he was extremely busy. There were other customers to attend to, people to socialize with, a computer system to stare at in visible confusion, and--most importantly--limes to cut. I don't know what those limes had that I didn't, but they received a level of attention and commitment I could only dream of. Meanwhile, I watched other guests receive service while I sat there wondering whether I needed to submit a formal application to order lunch. As the lone Black woman dining by myself, the difference in attention was hard not to notice. I can't tell you what was in his head, but I can tell you what happened: other people were waited on, while another customer had to give me a menu and neither bartender bothered to take my food order. Eventually, I accepted that lunch was not part of my dining experience and left. One star for the drink. Five stars to the random customer who apparently recognized that restaurants traditionally provide menus and take food orders. And my sincerest congratulations to the limes--I hope they're very happy together.

Frankly, the pictures online look a lot better than the place in person but it is still nicely decorated. We only wanted drinks and a smallish snack so we ordered the Smoked Trout Dip and "Bagel Chips." The bagel halves were so hard, you could easily chip your teeth on them. Honestly, we should have sent them back but I almost never do that anywhere. We sort of gnawed on them to make them softer and, in fairness, we cleaned the plate. For drinks, we tried a tiki-themed cocktail and a mocktail. Both were good. Our service was good. It was mostly good, but with room for improvement. Starting with the good, the prime rib dinner was excellent. The rib was juicy and well prepared, the horseradish and au jus were up to the task and the duck-fat fried fries were pretty yummy. The creamed spinach was particularly good. It was a great meal. Our second meal, not so much. We had the lobster roll and pot pie. Even though they advertise the lobster as flown in fresh daily, it had obviously been frozen and indeed our server acknowledged that when we asked. It was OK, but nothing special. Likewise, the pot pie was merely OK. A large cheesy biscuit consumed most of the space in the bowl leaving little room for anything else. We only ate about half of it and sent the rest back. It was an OK meal, but paled in comparison to the prime rib the night before. At the bar one night we had the sticky chicken wings and Ceasar salad. The salad was particularly tasty with a good tangy dressing. The wings were a bit overcooked, but meaty and with a tasty sauce. And as advertised, the wings were really sticky and gooey. One needs to go find a place to wash up when finished. The bar is well stocked so getting your favorite libation is no problem. The food quality notwithstanding, the service was great. We enjoyed several different bar tenders and food servers during our stay and all were pleasant, friendly and good at their jobs. Kudos to them. Also great was the ambiance. The building dates back to the 1800s and oozes charm and character throughout. The bar and restaurant have a nautical theme, which one would not really expect in Denver. I read somewhere that one of the original owners had a model ship collection his wife didn't want in the house so it ended up in the restaurant. Nevertheless, it works. The walls are paneled in dark wood and the heavy tiled floors create a warm and comfortable environment. Overall, we loved the place and would happily return the next time we visit Denver. The bar was a friendly place, the drinks were good, the people were nice and our stay was pleasant.
