I said "Yes" to the dress here at Miosa Bride! My dream dress was at this location and so I scheduled an appointment as soon as could. My consultants were Sydney and Mallory 8/9/20 and I told them my vision and showed them the dress I wanted to try on. They were respectful of my budget and I tried on about 10-12 dresses which gave them an idea of what style I liked and what I didn't. Ironically I ended up getting the dress I came in for the first place (which was a little over my budget but Sydney brought it over for me to try on). I instantly knew this is what I wanted to wear and said yes! I'm super short at 5' 00" and so she gave me upfront information about the additional costs for the designer to make it petite. She also made folds and clipped me to show me what it could potentially look like without the extra fabric. My dress arrived here in November which was faster than I was told! If I could put zero star I would. Had the worst experience. Both consultants kept on telling me how I'm "too skinny" for a lot of dresses and kept looking at each other while I was trying on dresses. Stephanie is a fantastic consultant!! She definitely listened to me and helped calm my nerves throughout the process. We found the dress and she also was great at helping manage the guests accompanying me. Would highly recommend! Also just as far as selection, there were tons of dresses to choose from. I also got the email for pick up so there were no issues from this particular customer on that front in regards to paying the storage fee for a missed email. First of all, the store itself is beautifully designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, marble walls, neutral paint, and gorgeous chandeliers. The appointment rooms were nice and private but also allow you to see the "showroom". The staff was super friendly and they all had masks on. Because of Covid they could not serve food or drink but we were allowed to bring in our own. I chose Miosa because both of my sis-in-laws has gotten their dresses from the Sac location. I'm lucky the Folsom location opened right when I got engaged! My personal dress shopping experience was really good. My consultant Aracely knew exactly what she was doing and was very confident in helping me narrow down to "the one". I had a very difficult time convincing myself that it was "the one" because of certain expectations I had in mind beforehand. Aracely was able to give me advice from her years of experience with brides in similar positions. I'm very thankful to have had her as my consultant, especially since I was having some difficulties in decision-making. She was also very knowledgeable about giving me alteration advice. This location has a different feel compared to the downtown location. Very clean, chic and modern with nice lighting! Lots of whites, grays and marble decor. This location opened yesterday, February 29, 2020 and you may now make appointments. However, it was mentioned that there may still be a grand opening coming up. Location also has a fancy coffee maker and drinks are offered upon entry. Staff was incredibly nice. They were patient and had great knowledge. I honestly didn't think I would find a dress as quickly as I did! Shout out to Christina for your help and the owner Mike :) Would recommend coming here to say "Yes to the dress!" My time at Miosa Bride - Folsom was great. I initially went there in December to shop for wedding gowns. My experience was easy as far as booking an appointment online, confirming my appointment and using their online portal. I liked the portal because I was able to save some dresses there and show them for inspiration. The shop itself is beautiful and huge. So clean and everything is white with rows of dresses. We had a huge private room to ourselves and were allowed to take our masks off when in the room. There was a changing area in the same room but separated by a thick curtain and there was a robe for me to try on. There was a pedestal for me to stand on and a huge mirror. Super clean and chic overall. Susie helped me and my family during my appointment. She was so sweet and nice. She asked me all kinds of questions to get a better feel of the look and style I was wanting. I showed her some saved dresses from the online portal and she immediately put me in one very close to that style but within my budget and I hated it! I was so confused and fixated on a certain look. I tried other dresses and nothing seemed to work. I started to feel so defeated and panicked because I was scared I wouldn't find my dress. I was stressed because I thought I wasn't going to have my moment even after I told Susie that I wasn't going to shop at any other store. I tried a total of I think 9 dresses. The 8th dress was pretty and started to make me feel like a bride but then she brought out the 9th dress and I was so confused. I was confused because I liked it and I liked it a lot. Without going into so much detail, that dress wasn't anything I would've picked out before. The colors and design intrigued me. I put it on and I was shook. I loved it on but was scared. I was scared my traditional Filipino mom wouldn't like it. I turned around and everyone gasped. I thought this was the dress but was still scared because I wasn't crying. I always thought I would cry. I ended up going into dress 8 and Susie gave me a few options for straps to add then brought in veils. I still wasn't convinced so I went back into dress 9 but this time she put on the veil and IT. WAS. OVER. I started tearing up and told her this is the one before we revealed the dress to my family again. I stopped myself from crying long enough to turn around. As soon as I turned around and showed everyone the veil, I started bawling which of course made everyone cry too. I had my tv moment and it was great! Miosa Bride made my wedding dress shopping experience dream come true! I just went back and picked up my dress last Sunday and it was so fun! Susie was there and helped me again. The dress was there and it fit me! No clips needed or anything. Unfortunately my veil hadn't arrived but I was able to use the sample again to give my other bridesmaids that didn't get to go to the first appointment the full effect and they cried! I took my dress home because I would have to pay to store until I came back for alterations about 4 months before my January wedding. I will also have to come back for my veil. What they don't show on tv is that process of picking up the dress or getting charged for storage. So it's my responsibility to keep my dress clean until I can bring it back for alterations. Thankfully, I have a good spot at home to store my dress until the summer. Overall, I highly recommend this shop. I've had such a good experience so far and I can't wait until alterations are all done! read more

She told me that it was okay that my wedding is in 6 months, and helped me find EXACTLY what I described. How the most important decision of my wedding has become the worst! What a nightmare it has been to alter my bridal gown. Miosa Bride in Folsom sold me a beautiful dress that could not be altered. First off it was delayed by over a month, which only gave me a couple of months to get it altered since they order the dresses online. When the seamstress looked at my dress she asked how they could sell me something that's be destroyed by any alterations, something the seller assured me was possible. I've gone to at least five fittings since and maneuvering ways to cut from the center of the dress in order to shorten. In all, I paid $600 alone for alterations... not including my time and driving to the seamstress. What a disappointment. Ladies beware! Make sure you buy only a dress you can truly alter. Don't Be swayed by their sales pitch. They lied to me. read more

This was the fourth bridal salon of the day and we should have started here. Their selection of dresses was more than the other salons. I knew walking in which style of dress I wanted but kept an open mind to my consultant's suggestions, as this is what they do and they know their inventory. While at lunch my Future Mother in Law said "it's going to be the first dress you try on". . .well sure enough it was! It was the perfect Fit & Flare dress, it was just missing straps. The consultant left and came back with these very Art Deco looking straps, I was hesitant but trusted her judgement. Once she laid them on my shoulders bring on the water works! Sold this was my dress! I purchased/ordered the dress in June of 2019 and had my first fitting May 2020. Shortly after the first fitting we postponed our wedding due to COVID. I was able to get the pins pulled just in time before they started working on the dress. Round two fittings started in May of 2021 for our August 28th wedding. I requested Evalia be the seamstress for my fitting appointments, she came recommended by my consultant on the day I picked up my dress. I can't say anything bad about the work she did, I'm a short busty girl who needed the almost every aspect of the dress taken in. Evalia made this dress fit me like a glove! My only warning is the dress makers sizing charts the salon goes by based on your measurements. I felt the salon should know if a designer's sizing runs large/small. According to my measurements the designer suggests I order a size 16. Hearing this is hard to take in as I've never been larger than a size 8 in my life. I know wedding dress sizing is different from street cloth sizing, but size 16. . .wow. When it came time for alterations, I requested a manager as I felt the alterations were more than they should have been due to the sizing from the designer. I was told "a quarter inch and 2 inches cost the same in terms of alterations". I expressed to the manager the dress didn't even "fit" in the bust area (which was my largest measurement) and her response was "we have to go by the designer's sizing chart". The manager understood and offered a small reduction in the alteration fees. All in all, I highly recommend Miosa Bridal for both selection of dresses and completing the alterations. read more
