Amazing waffle place, one of the best waffle place I've ever been in my life. Their waffles with ice cream are great but my all time favourites are the fruit ones and PIZZA WAFFLE, and their teas are great! Nice and super friendly staffs and cute interior, and have wifi. Great service, great waffle. In my opinion, better than Nero. I see ppl complaining about the service and how its a pack place. I came on the Saturday night at 9.30pm, there was only a table occupied. We were seated immediately. The waiter guy was knowledgeable, polite and pretty cute. Waffles are freshly prepared and reaches your table warm with the ice cream melting slowly as it should. They are sweet enough to end your cravings but not too sweet to spoil it. I came here a few times with friends when I was living in Coquitlam. The first time, I mistakenly ordered myself a crispy waffle, not realizing how hard it would be. It was ok but not great. Most of the times to follow when I did order something, the soft waffles weren't even available! Service isn't very good-they don't check up on you and sometimes don't even greet you when you walk in. It has been a few years since my husband and I moved into the neighborhood and we've tried Miracle Belgian Waffles a few times now, but unfortunately we still haven't had a positive experience there. They recently reopened from renovations but unfortunately not much has changed. Prices are still too high for the small portions, drinks are still not that great, and we always leave within 15 to 20 minutes there. Waffles are on one of the smallest side of what we've tried in Vancouver and the fruit pieces are always tiny. I've come here twice now with my wife and friend who love Belgian Waffles. This is a little nice shop with some nice decor, and pretty nice staff. There is free wifi if that matters... but now onto the waffles. We got the Green light and the B&W. Both were very well done, with a good amount of toppings. It wasn't overly sweet which is a good thing. For me I am not a big sweets person as I love savoury food more but I will admit these waffles were not bad. Coquitlam needs more shops like this who cater to a certain crowd. I think this may be the only Belgian Waffle place in Coquitlam as far as I know. read more

Looks are deceiving!! So we all decided to go after the hype and I thought it was comparable to Midam or Miga waffles but unfortunately wasn't as great as I anticipated! The mochaholic brussels waffle was not as good as I expected, but it was indeed passable on my culinary rating scale. Espresso cream, chocolate syrup, and a crispy waffle weren't too much to end the day with, which I had at 10pm. I would have liked the waffle more if it was crispier. It's a little too cramped and loud to be an ideal first date spot and I wouldn't recommend bringing more than one person. This place fills up quickly at night and they seem to only have around 2 or 3 tables of four. We came in on a Thursday, probably around 5pm when nobody was in the restaurant, but a little after about three more tables had been sat. I found this place on Yelp actually, as one of the better places to have dessert in Coquitlam. I ordered a Peach Ice Tea, a Cotton Candy Frappe and a Brussels Melowna Waffle (Their liege waffle machine was broken so I had no choice). Their peach ice tea is amazing, it's not too sweet but not too plain, it definately tasted like peaches, it's actually comparable to 'Good Drink' if anyone's has that before (It's bomb, you gotta try them). My waffle had white chocolate, cantaloupe, melon and melona ice cream on it, the Brussels waffle wasn't too bad, it wasn't sweet at all, almost need a little bit of sugar actually. But it wasn't bad compared to other I've had. The fruit pieces were really sweet but didn't mix well with the waffle, luckily the melona ice cream did! Overall it was a good dessert dish just cause I could eat the fruit alone and eat the ice cream with the waffle and both were tasty, it could've used a little bit more white chocolate drizzle tho just because the little bit that was on there, pretty much froze up from the ice cream and I could barely taste it and it would've helped the plainness of the waffle. My boyfriend ordered the cotton candy frappe and it was sweet, he didn't finish it, but what do you expect from a cotton candy drink LOL Atmosphere: The decorations felt a little but rustic-hipstery, the store was really spacious because of the high ceilings and the huge hallway(?) in the middle that lead up to the counter. The place looked new and clean, but nothing amazing. Service: The girl greeted, seated and brought us menus right as we entered, she took our order and brought our food but we had to pay at the counter, I always find that intresting and question whether you're supposed to tip or not, but there was a tip jar so I suppose it's a pooled tip. The employees always looked like they were doing something rather than just sitting around for customers, which seems to happen a lot at places that aren't that busy. I found it intresting that they had table menus but they also had a large board up with the food menus on them sort of like a quick service restaurant. Food: 4/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Service:3/5 I'm rarely in this area, so I'm not sure if I'll be back, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it, for being near the mall and in Coquitlam, it's not a bad waffle place, maybe they should consider putting bubble tea on their menu to start competing with Ninja BBT cause Ninja BBT actually came up first under desserts in Coquitlam. read more

Found this little gem in Coquitlam, great service and even better waffles! You have the choice of brussels (light & crispy) or liege (sweet & soft). I tried both and both were awesome! I'm a big fan of waffles and this place definitely rivals places downtown like Nero (personally I like this place better!) So I had the pizza waffle, which was pretty tasty. Too bad it took freakin forever to order. I got a second waffle, but of course we couldn't flag down a staff member. Why you ask? They were busy giggling and tickling each other. If I wanted to watch a teenage romance I'd go rent twilight. Did I mention there were like no other customers? Best breakfast sandwiches ever! We came across them on Uber Eats and ordered the ham&egg&cheese sandwiches with waffle combo and 2 caramel macchiato and my god we were not disappointed. The sandwiches are packed full of flavor and pretty fulfilling! My bf made the mistake of ordering 2 to himself and you definitely only need 1; especially if you got a waffle combo! Small cute waffle shop that makes getting a nice dessert much easier in Coquitlam. Been a few times and generally got the brussels waffles as I like how crispy and light they make them here. Horrible experience! Took over an HOUR for 6 waffles. We kept asking how much longer... every time it was "5 more minutes." The waffles came and they were cold and hard, as if they were pre-made. Some waffles (like the picture I posted) were broken! Even the whipped cream on the waffle tasted off. When the table next to us was seated, they heard us complaining that we'd been waiting over an hour, and they were told it would be at least an hour for their waffles - there was only two of them! I went to Miracle Belgian Waffle on Christmas day! That day they offered a free drink with your order. What can I say? My waffle was amazing (I don't remember what I ordered but it was dusted with coffee) and decadent, and the matcha latte I got with it was also delicious. Good liege waffles made on the premises. However, service really needs to improve with this place. Been here 3 times. One time they were not open even though the sign on the door says they should be open. Second time their waffle grills were not ready for almost an hour after opening time. It is never clear if you order/pay at the till (counter service), or you can sit and they come get your order. They seem just disorganized and under-staffed. Waffles are good! Service is good too but you can tell they're new at what they're doing so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. A few things they should work on, people with dairy allergies perhaps carry some almond milk or soy milk on your menus. I waited with anticipation for the opening of this business as a local resident. The idea of a waffle restaurant was compelling and seemed like the perfect companion for an evening walk with friends. When the business opened, I found myself more in love with my imagined reality than the place itself. Let me be perfectly clear, the food itself is not bad. Most times when I feel compelled to critique a restaurant, the problem is in taste or preparation. In Miracle Belgian Waffle's case, this was different. My friend and I genuinely enjoyed the waffles that we selected. She opted for a more chocolatey crispy waffle and I went for a soft one with a fruit topping. Both were satisfactory and enjoyable to consume. The issue is in the price. I paid approximately $8 for a small square of a waffle with a respectable amount of topping. While I definitely liked what I ordered, my friend and I agreed that it was not worth what we paid. We will not be returning, though we walk by it every day. For the cost of it, I expected either twice the size or something that tasted more impressive. I received something that I could easily make myself for a fraction of the cost. The waffle tasted fine and was something I would rank as slightly above a chain breakfast restaurant and much below the bubble waffle found at a shop on the same block. Recommended by others, my friends and I decided to try out this café after a long day of shopping on Boxing Day. The location is great, it's only about a 5 minute walk from Coquitlam Centre (H&M entrance), very close to Ninja Bubble Tea. It's perfect for those who can't/don't drive and mainly depend on walking or public transit. The café itself had a nice atmosphere to it; warm and comfortable -- perfect for cold months. The decorations were very simple with adorable fairy lights hanging from the ceiling, triangle flag banners with Belgium's flag colours (Perfect since they serve Belgium waffles!), vines, and other nature-like decorations. When entering, we were greeted warmly by the people inside. Surprisingly, there weren't many other guests in there [I think most people inside were workers(?)] since we tried to go to Cafe Joie earlier and it was packed. The menus were double sided with sweet waffles on one side while savoury waffles and drinks were on the other. On the menu, they list the ingredients in the waffles and you have the choice of adding extra stuff like fruits. Also, you can choose what type of waffle you'd like (Brussels: Light & Crispy or Liege: Sweet & Soft). The waffles themselves are a good size, and especially with all the extra ingredients on top (Ice cream, whipped cream, fruits...etc.), you are bound to get full! The price is fair with what you are getting and the amazing service they have is just a bonus! Our waitress was so sweet; she made small talk with us and didn't mind informing us about the food/drinks. The food itself is delicious, no complaints, and the presentation was so cute! The waffle itself has a pretty plain taste but because of the other ingredients on top, it's a splendid mix. The drinks are great as well though I have only tried the Vanilla Latte and Peach Ice Tea (Definitely recommend), I bet the others are good too! Your drinks are given very quickly and food is served fairly quickly as well, some take longer than others but not troublesomely long. My friends and I had such a positive experience the first time that we went again a day later! Again, it was an excellent visit and the waitress remembered us, so sweet! We tried the savoury waffle this time and it was great! It wasn't what I expected since normally I don't think associate waffles with savoury tastes but surprisingly, it was really good. Though priced a little higher, again, you really do get what you pay for since the savoury dish had more to it. It tasted like a sandwich in a way and was at a perfect temperature. The music in the café is always so nice and peaceful. Each time we went, there was a small group of people there (I believe they work there as well or are friends with the workers) that sing to the songs and it's so cute!! Very poor selection, made worse by unavailability of menu items. Two out of two times there I had to go to go to my third choice and to make matters worse, I asked for crispy and was told they didn't have crispy, only soft. (even though their menu says one can choose between the two options). To make matters worse, when the food arrived it was underwhelming at best. I went with my son in the afternoon and despite only two or three tables being occupied, we had to wait upwards of 20 minutes for the food to start arriving - that's right, our waffles came at different times, with a big gap in between (longer than what you'd expect it takes to make a waffle, if they were making them one at a time). I ordered just a plain black coffee and even that took a long time and when it arrived (after asking the server for it a second time), it was just barely warm. I decided to give them a mulligan and try a second time, but the experience was all too similar. I guess they deserve one star for consistency (as in consistently mediocre). Any good reviews you read about this place were clearly written by staff, friend & family or by someone with impaired test buds. Go waste your money at IHOP instead, you'll find a better waffle there. read more
