Gel manicure - two weeks in and still looks great!

This is my new go-to nail salon! After moving from Oakland I knew I had limited time to find a new place to get my nails done - my gel manicure was starting to get really horrifyingly grown out. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to try out Mirage Nails and I'm so glad I did! I called ahead to make an appointment and I was scheduled for a Sunday. When I got to the salon it was fairly busy and I was early, but I didn't have to wait too long to be seen. I picked my color and my old manicure was off in a blink of an eye. The manicure itself went well too. I waited to write a review to see how the manicure stood the test of time (which is the real hallmark of a good manicure in my humble opinion) and two weeks later it's still looking great! And prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back when I decide to switch up the colors!

Mikki & Kim are the best! Been coming here for a little less than a year & they always do a great job & most importantly, they always make sure to do what I want & make sure I like my nails before I leave. If anything happens to my nails, they are happy to fix them, usually at no cost to me. They are busy often so best to call & make an appointment. Highly recommend!

Kim and Mikki are the best! I come to them every 3-4 weeks and they never disappoint. They take their time to make sure your nails are done right. They remember every person they meet and care about their customers. I like to support local and they are so kind and genuine, they always put me in the best mood.

I called and they fit me in on a busy day for them! Kim was amazing and very accommodating. I love my nails. Definitely recommend!

Kim and Mikki are wonderful! I brought in a photo of some fun nail art and Mikki studied it carefully and then did an amazing job of recreating it for me. She was so sweet and patient. Any time I get a manicure here it lasts for a solid 3 weeks. Great people and excellent service.

Absolutely LOVE this salon. I've been a regular since 2022, and have ventured out to maybe two or three other nail salons since -- but can NEVER find anywhere else that has such high quality nail polishes, with such consistent service (I almost always ask for Kim or Kimmy*), that can easily color match the Pinterest photos I walk in with. I typically ask for either a natural pink or nude or French tip with an almond or squared shape. Before I started coming here, I actually used to be incredibly insecure about my hands because I had very wide nail beds with outgrown cuticles. However, with time, I've grown incredibly confident with my hands & try to photograph my manicures every time I get them done!

I got a French gel mani with Kim. She was very nice and friendly but I am disappointed by my mani. After getting back in my car from the service, I could already tell there were issues. The white tip had bled into the rest of the nail probably because it wasn't dry all the way before she put on the topcoat. The white tips also were not done super well. They were messy. Also, within a day or two, The gel was already lifting from some of the corners of my nails. Six days after the manicure, and the gel completely lifted from my thumb nail! At least this means they will come off easily? I paid $35 for the mani + $5 for the French. I tipped $10.

I've been a regular at Mirage Nails for around 6 months now and I refuse to get my nails done anywhere else - I absolutely love this place! Kim does an amazing job with my dip manicures and they always turn out beautifully. I've had bad experiences at other salons before: expensive manicures barely lasting 5 days, sloppy/bad work, nail techs being too rough with my hands, etc. but I'm happy to say that has never been the case here. Kim is always very gentle and has a great eye for detail. My dip manicures typically last around 3-4 weeks. Highly recommend checking this salon out!

I would honestly give this place a five star if I got a massage since I got a spa gel pedicure and manicure. I love how they are open on holiday and accommodating they are especially Kim and her daughter. But I didn't get any massage nor a good foot scrub. I was disappointed with that. I got a V French tip. It was good when you are looking on top but the sides aren't. They charged me $90 and I paid $90 + $30 since they accommodate me on such a short notice.

Since finding them in October, Ive made it a point to come back every month for a new gel set. Micki, Rose, and Kim are amazing. So much fun to be around and always remember people that come in. They do a great job every time and I'm always so excited about my new sets. They also choose really great colors! They always have trendy, fun colors to pick from. I never review places a second time but honestly I'm obsessed. Mirage nails or nothing :)

Looking for a reliable nail salon? Mirage Nails to the rescue!!! My favorite nail tech Kimmy, works here. I met with her last week and she was able to salvage my nails. After enduring a terrible gel mani from a month ago, Kimmy has my nails looking perfect again. God bless her! Mirage Nails is fairly new to the nail scene. There is convenient parking in the shopping center that it's located in. They offer manicures and pedicures, the employees here do a wonderful job, and their prices are reasonable. I went to get my nails done after reading other recent Yelp reviews. Dr. Kim treated me to a huge smile and a fun song asking my name and how she could help me. I was looking for a gel manicure and she was able to help. After looking at choices of colors and designs, we established that she was going to give me some fun colors and designs and make my hands "spicy"! She didn't disappoint. To her huge smile and funny songs, she made my experience totally awesome. She took the time to get to know me and addressed me by name. She was quick to joke and sing and put everyone around me at ease. The business was very clean and not cluttered. No chemical smells to assault my nose. She didn't try to sell me the whole store or try to upsell me. I will totally be back. read more

Just moved to the area and was looking for a good place for my nails and toesies, so of course I yelp around and found a few places that seemed okay, but decided on mirage nails. Came in around 12:30 and the place was very quiet and seemed very chill, I was seated in a chair within about 5 min and was immediately assisted by a gentleman who started my pedicure and then Kim came to finish it off. Kim is awesome, first impression is everything and she's the cutest! She's awesome with her clients and she is so fun! She was singing and joking and asking questions, she's honestly probably the coolest nail lady I've ever met! And I've been getting my nails done everywhere for like 15 years! Called the same day and they had an appointment for a gel manicure available. Very friendly and they had lots of colors to choose from!! I mean seriously a TON. I choose 3 colors although they didn't have one of them. Ended up not liking the replacement color as much but not a big deal. Should've said something right away the nails were shaped nicely and so far the gel manicure looks great. Seemed like there were many regulars when I was there and people came in to fix their nails which they happily did and for some for free which seemed like a very nice service to honor long term customers. Let's see how long the nails stay looking pretty Will be back if it lasts for 2-3 weeks without cracking or chipping. read more

I've been going to Mirage for over 2 years and it's always such a fun experience that leaves me with great nails. It's family run, Kim and her husband own the spot and their daughter is also a nail tech who helps manage. Kim is not only hilarious but incredibly kind and always always puts her customers first. She's got another 2 techs on rotation and always finds ways to fit you in. Best to call and reserve but you can usually do this same day and she'll make it happen (or at least for the following day if busy). I do acrylics with gel polish and it's $45 and if I get wild and break a nail, she never charges to fix it (still tip though!). Kim also just invested in a huge selection of Korean nail polishes and tips that are really great quality and super fun to choose from (in addition she has all your typical brands). I'm normally a die hard nude polish girl with almond tips but decided to break out of my comfort zone this week and I love! read more

I've been to Mirage twice now, and love the atmosphere! Everyone who works here is so nice and friendly. The first time I came my gel manicure lasted 4+ weeks and was fantastic. Unfortunately, the second time I went in for a gel manicure it lasted less than a week. I was in last Saturday and they were chipping and peeling off by Wednesday. I also got a pedicure, and my nails were cut a bit unevenly (but nothing terrible). I'll definitely give them another try because it was probably a fluke. read more

I really don't know why this place has 4.5 stars. Everything about this experience was disappointing. Got a pedicure. Got a 2 min massage on my legs, they didn't even touch my feel. They scrabbles my soles for 30 seconds, which means that basically all i got is a nail paint, which I can do at home. The service was so rushed and superficial, I'm definitely not coming back. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!! Particularly Kim, she is so wonderful. Most of the time I go in and tell her to pick something fun for me, it's never anything to crazy and it's always beautiful. Good for the price. Nothing high class and to die for but still good. Service was great took me in before closing and took her time to do what I requested. Very friendly. Not the cleanest but nothing I'd turn around and walk out over. Really my only complaint would be that you can see some of the file mars on my finished nails from the file but not super noticeable. I came here because of the good ratings for Kim. I am soooo happy I came here. First off, she's hilarious. I have extra sensitive nails/fingers and not once did she hurt me and she applied the acrylic the way I like it, natural. I moved to the Bay Area in 2011 and I think I finally found my nail lady. My daughter gets her nails done there, they are accommodating and her nails hold up really well. They are not the cheapest but they have done a great job for her for several months. They also are responsive to parental oversight. The owner is funny and sings to her customers! read more

Me and my friend came in here since they had pretty good reviews and was reasonably priced. They squeezed us in even though they were busy and we didn't have an appointment. The owner was really nice and so funny, you could tell she had a great relationship with her regular customers. They did a great job with my full acrylic set, exactly like the picture I showed them. I gave this place three shots. First time was not good, second time was good and third time was awful. I got a mani/pedi. I didn't ask their names but the man is great at the pedicures. The lady who did my feet hardly massaged or scrubbed yet was rough with pushing the cuticles and trimming. The older lady with glasses who Did my hands-- I asked her to file my nails just a little and she completely shortened them down to the skin. I had to juggle the uv nail dryer On my lap the whole time and reach across. I came here bc the location is convenient and the lady whom I believe is the owner is very very nice. Won't pay for this again. read more

Design: I asked for stars design and provided a inspo pic. I'm very aware and considerate that designs will never turn out exactly like an inspo pic. However, half of them don't even look like she TRIED to make stars. I think the girl who did them is the owner so of apparently she does not mind doing half work.... I would have respected being told if a design is too challenging to recreate or it's out of their comfort zone... I still paid and even tipped because I do respect people's time. But PLEASE RECONSIDER COMING HERE...

"You don't know anything about nails" and "if you don't want the nails done don't get them done" clearly, I don't understand the price breakdown and yes I do want my nails done I just want to understand how and why $40 was added. That's why I'm asking? I then asked for the menu or a menu of some sort so that I can calculate the breakdown of it and the menu stated that the service that I asked for was indeed no more than $85. The male that was supposed to be doing my nails, then got upset as well because I was asking for a menu he walked away without saying anything and told the woman who was at the front desk to do my nails. Mind you, This is my first time EVER going here might I add. Clearly they were trying to get over on me. There's no telling how many people they've done this too before I do not recommend going here. I politely stood up, apologizing for I guess inconveniencing them by simply asking to see a menu and left. Never again.

The haircut came with shampoo and blow dry too. It was very, very responsible in terms of cost too ($40 + tip). The salon is also very chic with seating, beverages as well. People are amazed to hear that I have anything done to my nails (besides polish), as Mirage's talented staff makes them look SO natural. Nobody needs to know that my "real" fingernails and toenails nails are terrible, because Mirage makes them look great. I've been going here for YEARS. Ok so now I'm happy!!! I called and got in right away (glad I checked because they are a busy place; very welcome to walk-ins if you have a little time to spare.) Lisa did my pedicure. She is lovely, very attentive and LISTENS (I broke my toe so my feet need extra TLC.) The shop is small but clean and the prices are SO good.
