We order from this place on door dash and we like it so we decided to come in and try it out in person. Service was very slow (even getting acknowledged) The soup came out quickly but the other food was slow to get to the table. Chicken tika misala is very good make sure you get this. The tomato soup is creamy but has a kick to it perfect for a Cold day. Also the bathrooms were kind of a nope for me. The first stall didn't have a seat. The second stall didn't have tp and didn't flush. You should give them a try but order out and enjoy at home :)

Veg schezwan momos (dumpling)- big enough single serving for lunch! and garlic naan

Great local spot. Not the fanciest and not trying to be. It's like someone's uncle owns it. The halls smell freshly mopped, the walls have paint imperfections and and food tastes home-made by that cousin with grandmas recipes and a couple cooking classes (eff the degree!) They almost lost points for asking if I was a delivery person upon arrival vs can they take my order but glad I gave them a chance because service improved and food was good. Got some great recommendations. TONS of vegetarian options and they're not just afterthoughts. ACTUAL veg intended dishes. I had the veg momos and veg chala masala. Con: can only get doughnuts as breakfast, no coconut naan- sweet option, and much of the street-food treat options are only available at night. But good excuse to come back!

Hidden in plain sight behind the Racetrac on Teel off Eldorado is this gem serving South Indian cuisine. This is by far the easiest 5 stars I have given. It is set in a relatively new strip mall and there is plenty of seating inside and out(it's still blisteringly hot so no patio for till fall). That said the seating was very comfy and well spaced out. There is also about 8 seats of bar seating. We were promptly seated and served bottled water, and sat down with the menu. We kept it simple with Butter Chicken, Gongura goat curry and garlic butter naan. The food took about 8-9 minutes to come out and this is where the experience is elevated. The food looks amazing; the sauces look so rich and smell intoxicating! You have an option of mild, medium or hot. We got mild for chicken and medium for the goat. Each entree comes with a bowl of regular rice; you can get biryani is if you want. My first spoonful of goat with rice was special!! Rich, deep flavors, the depth of the sauce and the soft goat is a winning combo; the naan is thin and crispy vs the typically thicker doughy kind you find. I added some butter chicken to my plate and delved in; and man that rich tomatoey, buttery sauce and soft chicken chunks are the business!! We only tried 2 items but I feel comfortable saying this is among the best in DFW. Value for money? $14 and $17 for the entrees, it really is like 2 meals for each one? I took some home and I can put away a big plate. This place deserves at least 2/3 more trips...there is dosa, move veg entrees, a cashew shrimp curry that I must go back for!!! A coconut mutton masala that is calling me and some delectable looking desserts including halua and gulab jamun(dough balls soaked in syrup) and ice cream....we will be back!!Soon!!

The best Indian food I've had in the DFW area!!!! The restaurant is clean (including the bathrooms) and the service is great. We came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and were surprised at how empty it was. LOTS of takeout and DoorDash orders but not many folks dining in. We ordered all the things. The butter chicken, the saag paneer, the dosa, the chicken 65, the pepper chicken, the naan, and the karaikudi mutton. It was all outstanding. The naan was light and airy. The curries were all packed with flavor and the portions were plentiful. Lots of food was taken home! Stars of the show were the saag paneer and the naan. All the food had perfect amounts of heat (we had some mild dishes for the kids and some hot ones for the frown ups). The saag had some amazing flavor. They also have a decent sized patio that would be nice on better days (was a chilly day when we came). We look forward to returning!

Cut mirchi, Mirchi Egg Biryani, Karaikudi Chicken Curry

Great place. I was there for the first time to have the Best Indian food. Everything is fresh and tastes delicious. Their spice levels are incredibly high. If you are not a spice eater, then do not mention it. We ordered their cut mirchi, mirchi egg biryani, and karaikudi chicken curry with a high spice level for to-go. The food was super spicy . The packing was perfect. Everything we ordered was flavorful. I would recommend trying their cut mirchi. It was yummy. The price range was good for the quantity they served. The ambiance was good. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. Service was quick.

    Garlic naan- very good

They've changed their recipes.. their food use to be very good but now it's changed. I use to order cashew shrimp, curry ALL THE TIME and now it's completely different. Very basic food now.

IF you have HIGH standards and care about QUALITY ingredients (and I mean, no junkie ingredients) read on, my friend. This review is for people who can appreciate food made from scratch, with love, with clean purified water, WITHOUT inflammatory oils, and with integrity. That being said, why should I list off what I ate? Anything you order here is delicious. Get curious, try something new, or look for something familiar. It's all tasty and special. The employees care so much about their food, they are more than happy to accommodate you. And they will strive to please you and make your experience special. We started out with fried veggie pakoras, tried some veg and non veg options (a delicious mutton curry) , were given a sample of a chef's favorite and ended with a hot masala chai. Don't forget to grab some homemade ghee, crispy snacks (remember, they made it with better oils!) and stock up on your favorite yogurts treats from the treat fridge. A truly special place. Support this family business. They are doing everything RIGHT!

I kid you not, the consistency of spice and bone in vs bone out has not been there. We ordered our food today ... since it's Sunday.. and I was crying eating. It was so spicy. The gongura chicken had bones this time and my 1 spoon of biryani had atleast 6 red mirchi's. It's really hard to enjoy the food when you can't even eat it! It would have been different if there weren't spice levels offered or if we ordered a hotter spice level.. I really would hate to stop our Sunday ordering tradition due to the lack of consistency so hopefully they can let the chefs know the difference in spice levels! Also, when we first ordered gongura chicken it was green and now it's red.. I was going to give 3 stars but since we went early for breakfast Saturday and they had chai ready at 830, I will give them 4. P.S.S- this location has the nicest staff. I've been to the other ones and the people are just rude!!

Indian takeout can be tricky with all the curries, naan, and rice. This location of Chowrastha did a great job. The ambiance is what you'd expect of a fast casual Indian spot in the burbs. We got the chicken tikka masala, gobi 65, pepper chicken, and the navaratan korma. A huge plus of this location is that entrees come with naan and rice. In this day and age of inflation and prices, most places make you choose one which always drives us crazy since we all know white rice costs almost nothing and goes so well with the curries! The food itself was all delicious and tasty. My favorite was the gobi 65. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Super tasty. The pepper chicken was a little light on the chicken side for me (ratio of breading to chicken was too high since the chicken pieces were smaller) but others loved it. The naan was super moist and tasty. They also have several specials and BOGO days posted at the store. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you are in the area!
