    Seasonal drinks!

Once again an excellent experience. I love reading here for the vibes. They feel clean, natural, and bright for lack of a better way to put it. The staff are amazing and so is the tea. Would recommend. Tried two specials and loved both.

This is a really nice and popular spot in Ballard! I came on a rainy day and it was packed - we almost didn't find a seat and were about to leave but got lucky last minute. I got the seasonal kinako matcha with soy milk - the drink was pricey at over $10, but that's almost the standard nowadays. I really like the kinako flavor though I didn't really taste the matcha itself. They also have tea samples which I really liked too. A good spot to chill and work at if not too busy!

I was really blown away by the selection of teas that they have here. They have a book with their selection near the cashier for you to browse. I was overwhelmed with their options and had trouble picking one as so many sounded so delicious. There is truly a tea for everyone's taste buds. Upon entering they have some of their teas that they sell on display for you to sniff. They also have samples as well for people to try. Staff were very kind and the service was very quick considering how many people were in line. I tried one of their white teas and it was delicious. I'm not a tea connoisseur but you could really taste all of the flavors in the description of the tea. It was very light. I definitely want to come back to try other teas. I really like the ambiance/design of the place. There are many seats for people to study and/or hang out. It was super busy on a Saturday though and we barely were able to get a seat inside. Luckily we were though, because enjoying the tea in their space was lovely.

This is a classy cozy place with all kinds of exotic tea offerings. I love their ceremonial matcha lattes specifically the Homare from Uji Japan. If you are lucky enough to see the Dubai chocolate cake you should definitely get a slice. It's not too sweet and tastes wonderful! Service is fast with a smile and there's plenty of seats to work or chat.

I'd love to come back and try more of their drinks, but the matcha latte didn't stand out to me. We ordered the iced matcha latte with oatmilk, and when we asked about doing an iced ceremonial matcha, the cashier said she wouldn't recommend it. I liked how they offer teas to sample, and the variety of teas they carry. During my wait I was able to try the Jasmine green tea. The wait on a weekend noon was 20+ mins and all the seating was taken, but looked like there was a lot!

My iced ube was FANTASTIC. They have so many options of tea it is amazing. Service was great, the guy making it seemed really passionate and was getting to know the ppl coming in. Great vibes- some people were chatting around and others working on laptops

What a gem of a place! The space is lovely, there are free hot tea samples in ceramic teacups (not your single use paper plastic crap) and enough matcha and seasonal options to come back again and again. Plenty of seating but seems to be packed rather quickly. I had the kinako matcha which was so lovely, I wish I lived in Ballard all the time.

    Ginger matcha latte

So... ginger matcha latte anyone??? I came here by myself on a Saturday evening just an hour before they close, and walked into a strong tea smell, and a very calm and soothing cafe space where the tables and floors looked like they was made of hardwood floors, only in a much lighter wood color. They serve a ton of teas, chais and (matcha) lattes, and I decided to get something that one of my friends didn't have a high opinion on: the ginger matcha latte with oat milk. Nothing to say about service for my visit here, though. First sip of this and I was like, "Yes, the matcha is there and it's pretty strong." Then came the ginger part, and I was kind of surprised. Normally I'd expect matcha to be sweet or bitter, but never have any spice in it like for this drink. Despite all of that, I didn't quite mind it and actually thoroughly enjoyed it myself. It reminded me of longan ginger tea that I sometimes got back at what used to be Hard Wok Cafe over at Bellevue: sweet in the right sense but also randomly spicy while not being off-puttingly pungent. I also sometimes like to eat ginger upfront when I'm eating anything that could potentially upset my stomach, such as sushi. And I did eat some very spicy food that day. I did get a drink that was quite peculiar and things didn't quite fit together, but I'm more than satisfied with what I got and I can't wait to try their other drinks in another future visit with friends!

A tea lover's paradise! As an avid tea drinker, Miro Tea excels in creating an environment to casually sip tea and also peruse every new and classic tea that they offer. The staff are upbeat and helpful. I love the opportunity to A) sample selected teas of the day for free and B) pay to try their endless selection of teas before committing to buying them. I decided to get a kinako matcha, while my partner got a hojicha latte. Both were deep in flavor! The kinako powder's nuttiness enhanced the earthy matcha. Truly a beautiful and refreshing drink.

My favorite tea cafe in the Ballard neighborhood. Ordered Hojitcha latte to go w/ almond milk - it was delicious and had a strong high quality hojitcha flavor. No line on a rainy day, so service was quick. Hard to find a table indoors though (it was a full house), otherwise I would have ordered for here. They have cute ceramic mugs for those dining in and their pastries look delicious. Will need to come early next time to snag a table and enjoy my tea latte indoors. Def worth visiting again soon!

I loved the interior and the overall ambiance. The tea samples were so good as well. I tried the ceremonial matcha latte which was decent. It was a bit grainy, I would definitely come back to try a different tea. I also tried the baecha tea which was really nice and would definitely get or try and make when I am sick. It wasn't too sweet and tasted pretty gingery. For the place being pretty busy on a Saturday, we got our drinks quickly as well.

Truly a 10/10 matcha and insane that it's so readily available by the Ballard farmers market. For some reason I assume the shops around an "event" are just tourist traps but NOT the case here! Interior was so cute, great place to hang- though a little crowded on farmers market mornings. Matcha was delish. We first got the latte with one pump simple syrup. I think the full sweetness (2 pumps) hit the mark and they were super gracious about fixing that for me. Staff were awesome, very well informed and kind. Will be back even outside of visiting the farmers market! Edit- i want to include tips about parking in my reviews so because I went while the farmers market was up, I parked two streets down so I did have an 8 min walk back to the car just FYI!

Old mountain black tea with almond milk.
    Oris B.

The Old Mountain Black Tea with a splash of milk from Northern China Hands is hands down the best combination of tea and milk I have ever tasted. In addition, Miro offers a complimentary tea tasting bar, allowing guests to sample various teas before ordering. It's a fantastic feature! The only drawbacks are the limited seating capacity and the current closing time. Also, the staff are knowledgeable and recommend new tea experiences which create an unmatched vibe like anywhere else! I truly wish they would stay open longer, ideally until at least 10:00 PM.

If you can find parking in the Cap Hill area I would definitely consider this as an option for a sweet treat. I think the prices are really reasonable considering some of the other options. Staff: 5/5 (nice) Sanitation: 5/5 (clean) Soft serve w/syrups (5/5) I've had most of the syrups that they offer with their vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself is a really creamy and rich vanilla milk flavor. I would say it's closer to that Asian milk flavor if you know what I mean. I think the hojicha syrup is my favorite out of all the ones I've tried so far. It has a really nice roasty flavor and not something you can find at most other places. The matcha I would say is my second favorite. The flavor of the matcha syrup is definitely lighter compared to the hojicha but still is a nice compliment to the soft serve. The black sesame would be the lowest on my list out of the, all since I felt like the flavor was too nutty like it was a blend of sesame and potentially a nut. Overall I would definitely go back for the hojicha but if you're not into that there's definitely solid options for other flavors.

I always see a line when I pass by but service is fast and they hand your dessert to you directly after ordering. There's no awkward mix-ups or other people taking your dessert which I like. Will be back at some point to try out their other flavors and for a smaller portion!

We got a matcha float with mochi and a hojicha float with mochi. We love the hojicha better. The matcha is prob one of the better I've tasted, but not often you can find hojicha ice cream and milk tea. It was creamy and mildly sweet. So good, refreshing and satisfying! The mochi were ok. It was very bland and not sweet at all. I do prefer my mochi to have a little sweetness to them, like a sweet bite. This was like chewing a bigger non sweet boba ball. So I'd pass on the mochi here and maybe do all ice cream. If ever we're in Seattle would visit again. Update: we came here a few yrs later. The drinks were still good as ever. My husband got a frappe and loved it. We had a salmon bowl which was decent. Not something I would order again here but we were so hungry from traveling and meeting friends, we needed some food. This time no line out the door. We got a seat inside. We came in June this yr, nice weather outside but inside was super hot as they did not run the AC. They had the windows/doors open but no breeze and mosquitos were inside attacking. I can't imagine a good breeze when the cafe is wedged btw two huge buildings. My drink (red bean brown sugar latte) was obviously extremely sweet but it was pretty good with plenty of red bean. My one complaint is that they don't have boba straws, which is a bit baffling to me. Sure they don't technically sell boba but the red bean topping in my drink was constantly stuck in the straw because its so narrow! Seems like an odd oversight. I had to use a spoon to eat the red bean by itself at the end.
