The view is just beautiful and there are kayakers coming down the river which is super nice. The food is good as so are the drinks. Our waiter was great and was friendly. The only thing I did not like was the fact that we had to use the porta potties rather than the restrooms they had inside. Because of a concert they were going to have but we had lunch in the restaurant so we should have been able to use the inside restrooms

If you're looking for something new and a little out of the way, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. The service was great, and if you stay for dinner you'll get to enjoy the outdoor views along with live concert vibes. The only downside was the parking situation unfortunately, so I'd recommend calling ahead and bringing a little patience. Overall, still a cool experience and worth trying out.

The views are worth it. The outdoor seating area is great, but they do have indoor seating & a fire place for winter months. This visit we sat inside at the covered patio, the water was low (off season) but so clear and beautiful! Bloody Mary - standard, they do add some pickles, celery, olive and peperoncini. The French onion soup - was so good! Came super hot with the perfect cheesy layer on top, and tons of onions and breading inside. Definitely recommend Usually we get burgers or the fish and chips when we come here (both great!) but on this day we both went for the French dip and it was delicious! Would definitely order again!

We came for the school of rock performance. The event ran smoothly and the venue was very unique and had a real Colorado feel Right in a River, the scenery was fantastic! We had a blast. I wish we had an amphitheater like this in AL. The bar restaurant and outdoor seating were great Highly recommend!!

The food was great! Ambiance and service are fantastic. Crews are also friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back!

The Mish is a favorite place of mine. This morning they were super gracious to us runners of the Equinox Half Marathon. The food is always great, the music always jams, and the views are scenic and calm.

We had lunch on the deck of the Mish over the Poudre River today. It's a great location. Our server was great. Lizzie was attentive & helpful. We ordered fish & chips & French dip sandwich. The pieces of fish were quite small and definitely NOT the best I ever had. The sandwich was ok and not great. I had to send the Au jus back as it was way too salty to eat. Prices were reasonable. It would be great if the food raised to the level of the setting and the service!

Oooooo this place is so CUTE! Parking is not ideal on the side of the mountain. I was very impressed by the sound and visuals. Lasers bouncing off the trees makes this place so special. So dang pretty. Intimate setting with great bar food. The season is march through October. If it's in fall or spring it gets pretty chilly dress appropriately.

Fantastic location. We had to deal with a terrible bee situation that made us prematurely leave. Good beer selection. We need to come back.

The Rubin is definitely a great example of this restaurant, very good.

Had a really great lunch here, enjoy the Reuben sandwich very much. One of the better Ruben sandwiches I've had. The views on the outside deck are absolutely beautiful and make for a wonderful lunch. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the weather at least at this time of the year was perfect. Nothing like eating a great lunch and hearing the river right next to you. Don't forget to bring your camera for some of the better shots you're going to see in the area.

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often. My Hogback Sour Cocktail was over the moon. Made from bourbon, lemon, simple syrup, egg white, and Cabernet float. The unique blend made a great drink. I wanted more, but held back because we were hiking later. My wife's traditional slightly dirty martini was perfectly made as well. We started with the homemade chips and dip. Nice crispy chips with beautiful fresh made onion dip. Next came the Pheasant soup. I wanted to lick the bowl clean, it was so yummy. The main course for me was the carnivore plate with elk, filet, sausage, and broccoli/shallots. The elk meat was the star on my plate. Having that next to the filet mignon allowed me to taste test them in real time. The Elk meat won hands down. Not even close in my opinion. The sausage was packed with wonderful flavors, but after a few bites overwhelmed my palette. My wife had the Creamy Potato Gnocchi Bowl. We both shared each other's dishes. She loved the Elk Meat. I really enjoyed the Gnocchi, and wished it could be a side dish to my Elk meat. Service was great with Elizabeth checking on us at the right times. They're rated really high -- actually one of the highest-rated restaurants in Fort Collins -- and from a food perspective I don't really understand why. Sliders with sweet potato fries -- fine, nothing extraordinary. Potato éclairs -- . It was really just mashed potatoes with some topping on it. I honestly didn't even finish it. Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. But I would not return.
