I stumbled upon this place after an unsuccessful Tonchin trip that was sold out on a collab they did. When I tell you things happen for a reason they truly do. I had completely lost my voice and was looking for a good meal. I walked in and spotted a small seating area in front of an open kitchen. I was so excited to watch the chefs at work and see everything being prepared for a pasta course they were having the next day. Service was exceptional, I could barely speak and yet they were so kind and listened the best they could. I asked their recommendations and ordered every one of them. I started with their thinly sliced salami sprinkled with fennel pollen and chickpeas. Although the chickpeas were delicious they were the least exciting out of everything I ordered but still tasted great. I then moved on to the grilled artichoke sandwich which was so freakin good. The bread was light the artichoke bursts with flavor and embodied the heartiness of a burger. I had left over salami from my app so I combined it with my sandwich and I got the nod of approval from the chefs. Next up was the mozzarella grilled cheese. This thing is BEYOND perfect the crisp and melty goodness is insane. The outside was toasted to perfection. I'm not sure if they do but it tasted like they toasted it in anchovy oil. Not sure. But it was good. Lastly I finished with the basque cheesecake which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. I thought Misipasta was overall very solid! The menu is quite small, so for my group of 2 we shared a warm app, sandwich, and a pasta. I made a reservation for noon on a Sunday, I want to say it was probably not necessary because we were the only two people for about a good half hour. However by 1:30 pm it was quite full. Maybe because we got there early it took a while for the kitchen to get fired up. It mostly just tasted like chickpeas. I've been here twice and it is really good food but the only complaint are the portion sizes. Most of the dishes are microscopic and could be eaten entirely in one bite without even stuffing your face. The sandwiches are typically a decent size. I've been to Misi on numerous occasions, but this was my first time at their pasta shop-cum-sorta wine bar at the far end of Grand St. Contrary to the name, the menu actually leans more heavily into the non-pasta dishes. The artichoke sandwich, served on a hefty brioche, and the chickpeas with ricotta were my favorite dishes of the evening. I like the mozzarella in carrozza better at Cafe Spaghetti. Considering how hard it is to get a reservation at Misi only a few blocks down, I was excited to try Misipasta. Honestly was hoping there would be more pasta options - there are only two written on the menu (spaghetti, ravioli) and one our server mentioned (fettuccine). We wanted some salad to go with our pasta but unfortunately, no modifications could be made in removing sliced almonds, which is an allergy of mine. But the spaghetti turned my experience around - super flavorful, crunchy, and zesty pasta with a buttery lemony sauce that kept making me want more. Service was very friendly and every staff member I interacted with was personable and warm. I ordered a cappuccino, the asparagus and mezzaluna. The backyard garden is beautiful and feels like a repose in a bustling city. The design is simple yet elevated and I spent a few moments capturing some food photos. The food- asparagus was lovely and I liked the added flavor and texture from the walnuts. The pasta was good but missing a kick. A lovely spot for fresh pasta tucked into the heart of Williamsburg -- they have a great ambiance, and we were able to get bar seats immediately on a Friday evening roommate date night. They have a nice outdoor patio, so would love to come back for that. The menu here is very small with a strong focus on seasonal ingredients -- I am seriously obsessed. The flavors were so light and summery and everything tasted so fresh. The walls are lined with items that you can purchase. We chose to sit inside as it was very hot out. They have 2 small bar seating areas and a gorgeous outdoor seating area. Reminded me a bit of a spam sandwich and I mean that in a great way. Crispy on the edges, salty, fatty, the salsa verde and balsamic helped balance out the heaviness. Spaghetti. Bottarga, breadcrumbs, lemon. It's salty, crunchy, acidic, bright - a perfect dish. The pasta was fresh, prepped in front of us and was al dente as it should be. I loved my experience at Misipasta! They have a lovely backyard area that is perfect for the summertime. It's a pretty small area that is easy to miss if you don't know about it. I booked a reservation for Sunday brunch two weeks out and there was a lot of availability. It isn't super difficult to get a reservation but if you want all of the options, I would recommend planning. There are also a few seats inside where you can see the chefs making the pasta, but those are much more difficult to get. I think the outside area is great, especially when the weather is nice so would recommend booking outdoors if possible. When we got seated, they gave us a small menu with the dishes (which I believe they change out seasonally). I came with four other people and we ordered 5 dishes, which was just enough. I really enjoyed the two pasta dishes we ordered as well as the artichoke sandwich. At the end of the meal, we also got affogato, which was the perfect end to the meal. We sat in the gorgeous outdoor backyard area and our server was so beyond friendly. I wish I remembered his name but he had dark hair and glasses. He immediately brought us blankets and was super attentive the entire night. We shared the marinated chickpeas, the artichoke sandwich, mustard greens salad, and butternut squash. Everything was delicious but I liked the artichoke sandwich the best. A couple of us got the spaghetti and others got the pasta special which was a stuffed pasta with ricotta, mascarpone, and prosciutto. It was delicious. But my absolute favorite part of the meal was dessert! We got the ricotta torte which was their take on a basque cheesecake and it was as tasty as it was beautiful sitting in the dim light. Smoked anchovy was great. Smoked swordfish very light and unique. Pasta noodle was obviously well cooked but the flavor was disappointing. I think is what it is called in a fresh tomato sauce and I believe it was pecorino Romano shaved on the top. The pasta quality is 10/10. Cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Not a single other patron was in the store, so they certainly werent too frazzled to accomodate my "special" demand which was the simplest substitution request known to man. Namely, sprinking parmesean cheese instead of pecorino cheese on top of my pasta. I told them in advance that I hate stinky cheese and I prefer parmesean instead and the response was, essentially, we dont care, were not making even the smallest effort to make you happy with our tiny little snack-sized portion of food that youre spending $23 on. MISIPASTA is essentially an upscale deli/grocery with an open pasta-making view as well as a mini kitchen in the back for you to watch chefs cook your pasta for you. My partner was craving fresh pasta and came here to buy some. They have quite the selection here in regard to pastas, sauces, and other pasta related items. However, I wish there wasn't a single limit on a pasta type of one pound. My partner and I wanted to buy 1/4 or 1/2 pounds of various pastas, but the fresh pasta had to be cooked within 2-3 days and we couldn't eat one pound of all the pastas within that time frame.. MISIPASTA is essentially related to Misi and Lilia and the concept is nifty in that you can essentially make the pasta and ricotta toast at home if you desire. I may consider coming back if I have a dinner party to host to buy big portions of fresh pasta or to even have an impromptu pasta lunch or dinner. read more

The seating indoors is very limited and all bar stool seating. We started with the spritz and Negroni which were both delicious. This place is serving food as fresh as it comes! The waiter was really sweet and walked us through the entire menu, explaining dishes in detail which was great. We tried almost everything on the menu, the plates are small and shareable so this was plenty of food for 4 people. The cant miss dishes - both pastas and the butternut squash! Where my points come off is the seating. None of the seats have backs and are all dinner stools, so prepare. This also leaves no where really to put your coats or bags. The chairs are also very mobile and we found ourselves holding them in place all night , or we would be spinning in circles. I will take Misipasta over Misi anytime . Completely different vibe , less clubby and hectic and much more friendly . The pastas are world class and the pasta chef is engaged which is real great addition (try to get sit on the pasta preparation's bar) Pastas are changing so it's hard to recommend a specific one but ALL 4 were delicious!
