    Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken Milanese
    Lee S.

This is one of my favorite newish places in NY hands down. Fresh made pasta in a fast casual setting. The flavor of the fettucini was spot on and the chicken milanese was tender and juicy. And don't sleep on the arancini!

Walking by on 9th avenue, the entrance isn't noticeable but it's one of those places where I had to wonder if being small makes it a great establishment. Walking in, there is a decent amount of seating and you can see them making the food fresh in front of you. I do like how small the menu is - small menu generally menus fresher food. I don't really eat dairy so just ordered the fettuccine without cheese and then chose the arrabbiata sauce. I wish they gave me a heads up about how spicy the sauce would be - my mouth was legit on fire. Food wise - I didn't love the portion sizes, I was definitely hungry after it was over and felt the texture of the pasta was softer than I'd like - probably because it's fresh. Even though I was burned this time (literally with the spice), I'd be down to come back and try another one of their sauces and even be more open minded about adding dairy since it seems like one of their specialties!

Visited 2/23/26. Okay first off the good things: the lunch special price (very solid deal), the spinach Alfredo noodles (definitely preferred these in my sister's meal to the standard fettuccine solely because they were more al dente texture). We started off with arancini and these were solid; a decent shareable. For lunch I got the fettuccine with the mushroom sauce. Wasn't my favorite of the selections and some I liked better than others. Not a crazy amount of seat options so be prepared for that before coming. Overall it was a solid place but nothing about it "blew me away." Nice stop-in lunch spot if you live nearby!

5 stars for the freshly made pasta... they were simply amazing and and quite possibly the best and freshest I've ever had. They hand make the pasta when you order. The alfredo sauce was really good as well. What wasn't so great and I'm not sure why was the actual Cheese Wheel preparation. That is what this place is known for and it felt like they rushed this part and the Wheel didn't actually have any Cheese left in it. At $10 for the classic Fettuccine Alfredo, I'll give it another try when the Cheese Wheel is replaced

The pasta and alfredo were amazing and in perfect proportion. The sauces were good. I liked the yummy classic sauce better than the arrabiata (which didn't taste like much but spicy), but I could taste really the ingredients that were supposed to be in it (e.g. eggplant, walnuts). It's a small place and was pretty crowded on a Wednesday at 9:30 PM (maybe others had the same post-show dinner idea as us?). We had two bar seats at first but were able to migrate to a table that opened up while waiting for our food. The wait is a bit longer than you'd expect for a fast casual place, but I assume that's because the pasta is being cooked fresh. There's also both bathroom.

This spot specializes in Reggiano Parmigiano cheese wheel pasta, and you can dine in or take out. There's a moderate amount of seating, and many people choose to eat in so they can watch the process. I ordered the plain fettuccine Alfredo with added mushroom sauce. The portion was very generous--I couldn't finish it in one sitting and ended up enjoying it over three days. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente, the mushrooms were sautéed to perfection, and the sauce was creamy and flavorful. I added some fresh cracked pepper, which gave it a cacio e pepe feel. My only critique is that the cheese sauce wasn't as sharp or rich in umami as I usually like. The chef did sprinkle some sharp grated cheese on top, which helped balance it out. One of the highlights was watching the staff make fresh pasta and toss it in the giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano--it made the whole experience fun and unique. Service was excellent, and I'm already planning to come back.

Everything was great! They have a lunch special $14.90 comes with pasta bowl and lemonade! The pasta was so fresh and so was everything else. We got the cheese ball things were great!!! Food is delicious, space is clean and the staff is great! We got a complimentary tiramisu dessert so good! Thank you for the best first impression on food in NYC! We plan on coming back tomorrow before leaving the city!

I did a food review here and when I say I was impressed I loved everything about this place. Let's start with how they're pulling the pasta right in front of you to go in the back and cook it fresh to every order. Next the price is great with everything bowl starting at 10$ and adding more to it depending on what u want which is great for nyc. The garlic shrimp was on point. The service was quick and efficient and they were super friendly making sure I got all the help I needed. The strawberry lemonade is also really good nice and fresh not artificial flavoring.

I'm so glad the pasta tossed in a parmesan wheel trend is taking off. I'm not sure how much cheese actually rubs off, but they add enough by hand anyway. At $9.90, it's a much better deal than paying like triple that at Eataly. Fettuccine Alfredo: This is why you come here. They're making the pasta fresh in the window and it's texture is quite fresh. Cooked in a pan to order with ample amounts of cream and cheese. And then tossed in front of you in that parmesan wheel for more flair and more cheese. The toppings and mix-ins aren't really needed since this is so amazing by itself. Meatball Napolitano: Got these as a side, so not to corrupt the pasta. They were alright. Kinda reminded me of frozen squeaky meatballs more than the crumbly meatballs made by a nonna. Bolognese: Seemed more like marinara with some ground meat than traditional Bolognese. Not worth detracting from the alfredo flavor. Strawberry Lemonade: Fresh and tart. A very nice pairing to the creamy and rich pasta.

One of the best pasta spots !! Traveled from California and stopped by here, pasta was fresh and you get to make your own. Service was great and fast. Very clean MUST TRY chicken Milanese, it's a vibe

Wow! I did not expect $10 pasta to taste this good. I got the $2 truffle oil add on and it was truly elite. Wait time is a little long but the staff very helpful and nice. Wheelchair accessible enough: the ramp is kind of ratchet but it's there and the staff are super nice about holding the door.

This place was great! There is a man in the front window as soon as you walk in making and cutting fresh pasta dough and walks it to the back of the restaurant to drop it in boiling water where its then put into a huge parmesan wheel to make their basic alfredo sauce. I ordered the alfredo with bolognese and extra parm on top. I watched them cook it and put the sauce on top. It's plenty of pasta in the paper bowl and it was perfectly cooked. I loved it and definitely will come back.

I ordered the Lamb Ragù pasta, and every bite was packed with rich, slow-cooked flavor. To start, my brother and I shared a pizza and the lobster appetizer, and both were incredible. My brother ordered the truffle pasta, and after stealing a few bites, I can honestly say it was just as unforgettable. The atmosphere was on another level. Even on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was buzzing with energy, full of happy people, great conversations, and an authentic Italian vibe that made you want to stay for hours. The service from Jose was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing experience. If you're looking for incredible Italian food, outstanding service, and one of the best dinner spots in the East Village, OLIO E PIÙ belongs at the top of your list. Management was very accommodating on various levels - no need to describe the details as it's not relevant for an average review. know before you go - you literally have no other cheese but to have cheese in your pasta. Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

Was also thoughtful in handing us our orders correctly which was nice. For the food itself I heard good things and was hoping to love it more-- but I think I was slightly disappointed. The flavors aren't so bad overall and if you have a pasta itch it'll scratch. But I've tried other places better at a similar or even cheaper price point with protein added in. I got the "some like it hot" while my friend got "midnight desire" with burrata added in. I paid about 22 for each dish. Now for my thoughts - flavor for "some like it hot" was not bad, sauce was a slight bit watery for my liking. The spice was nice and I liked that part the most. Pasta was "OK". The ravioli was stuck together for some, filling was adequate but, I would've liked a little more. I don't want to sound harsh, but it was all around just an ok spot. Maybe it was just that day. Burrata added is nice, I took mine to go do sadly it was melted on top (recommend to pack the burrata separately for to go orders) - "midnight desire" is basically vodka and the flavor for this one was kind of odd for me. Not the normal vodka I am used to. I personally wouldn't really get it again. It wasn't a bad sauce, just not like vodka I know. Had a slight "bitter(?)" aftertaste from some seasoning I guess. I'm not a pasta connoisseur but I AM Italian and I've tasted a wide ranger of pastas lol-- I think yummy cheese pasta in Hell's Kitchen offers a similar concept, portion but is more filling, diverse options for adding and overall, slightly cheaper. Perhaps I'll give this place another try on another day..
