Stumbled across this place on Sunday. It wasn't open, but I yelped it and read the stellar reviews. Brought a friend on Tuesday...and I loved it!! It took all my power not to return today (the next day), but I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow!! I followed yelper advise and got the Classic in a bowl (you can get 1/2 and 1/2 white & brown rice!) and the meal combo (miso and an awesome sweet ginger tea). The corn slaw was delicious as promised, and of course the bulgogi & bibimbap were fab!! I'm so happy with my order/meal that I worry I might not try anything else. As mentioned over & over by reviewers, the people who work here are very helpful, friendly, and make you want to come back & support local biz!! First time coming here and am I glad I stopped! It is described as a subway or chipotle for Korean food. You can pick from a bowl, wrap, or salad. I picked a wrap and a kids bowl for my daughter. Came in for the first time... It was interesting... Korean/ Chipotle kind of thing... Wasn't as good as I expected but will try other entrees someday. Got the bulgogi bowl: brown rice, bulgogi, spinach, corn, radish, cucumber, kimchi ($1more) bibimbap sauce. chicken seaweed wrap: seaweed, white rice, chicken, carrots, onion, radish, purple cabbage, creamy sesame sauce (husband says he will definitely come back for this) pretty interesting setting too... This place is so highly rated for a reason: it's fantastic! I went in for lunch today (my first visit) and the two guys working were polite, informative, made suggestions when I asked, and just generally provided excellent service. And the food was sooooo good! Perfect for someone health conscious who wants a treat. I will definitely be returning to try the other sauces and combos; you can choose chicken , bulgogi, seafood, tofu, and lots of different sauces and veggies, then have it in a bowl or all wrapped up. I just moved back to Olympia after being gone a year and wanted to try Miso again. I am so sorry to say that it is different! They no longer offer avocado! I can't have anything salad, sushi or rice bowl related without avocado! Maybe that's just me but my husband was very disappointed as well. The cross contamination situation was not good at all. I saw chicken being scooped out and falling on the food bar. The Kimchi has fish sauce in it. The same gloves were used for everything. We were uncomfortable and were not able to eat there. I realize this is not a vegan restaurant, but I'm sorry to say I can't go back. read more

This place was great!! Stumbled upon it for lunch when I was in the area for work. It's nice to be able to find something healthier than McDonalds or Wendy's in a quick hurry. This is something you would see on Shark Tank, an Asian style subway concept. It's quick, easy, and taste good. The kimchi has excellent flavor and the number of sauces available is plentiful. You are allowed to choose bowl, roll, or salad (breads), then meats, veggies, and extras just like a Subway. I had the tiger size role with steak (bolgogi) and it tasted great. This is a great little fast-casual, East-meets-West, Asian-fusion restaurant in Lacey, WA. Choose an entree (salads, rice bowls, Korean "burritos"), select toppings (meat/tofu, veggies, sauces), then dine-in or take-out. This is very reminiscent of Chipotle, only Korean-American instead of Tex-Mex. My wife had the roll. This has definite kimbab/ sushi-roll roots, but we found it more like a kim/ nori wrapped burrito. Chose bulkogi style beef, mixture of veggies. A bit messy near the end of eating it, but it was quite tasty. I had a rice bowl. Again, has roots in Korean bibimbab, but with the topping choices much more modern including many western choices. I went mostly traditional Korean on toppings, including the kimchi, but read good reviews of their corn salsa, so I had them add that. Great bowl, very fresh and delicious. Clean restaurant, casual. Pleasant, polite staff running the counter. Prices were a reasonable $6-8 per main dish. Overall, a good idea, great food. I hope this place takes off. read more

My first time and WOW!! Amazing food, fantastic service!! I got a wrap and my wife a bowl. Chicken was tender and juicy but the steak Bolgogi is the best! Loved the corn salsa and the Wasabi mayo was very good. Only thing I would suggest is a couple more fresh choices like tomatoes & avacado. I really like Miso and come here pretty frequently. I love their soulmate bowl and the sauce that comes on it is BOMB! The only reason I didn't put 5 starts is because when i went to Miso on Wednesday of the employees was being rude to me. I asked for no corn chowder on my bowl and the employee got irate and made me feel unwelcome. She angrily talked down on me for ordering a soulmate that comes with corn on it. Ive never had such an awful experience with the staff here and i am perturbed by it. She then proceeded the rest of my order with an attitude. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back for a little bit because there were other people there as well who saw and it felt embarrassing. Usually when i go to miso the employees are super sweet but this one really made me second guess coming back. I didn't catch her name but she had a tattoo on her forearm that looked like a long line of fangs covering her whole forearm. There were a few other mini tattoos but didn't catch what they were. She had red/brown hair and how she talked to me really ruined my day. read more
