This place has decent food and the place is clean enough. I like the ramen as it is really spicy. My husband likes the yaki-sobo. The place itself is good, good location, decent sushi. The theme here is the service. This is the third time we have been here and had staff that doesn't seem to know how to meet customer's needs. Once we ordered, our waiter never came back to check on us. My spicy ramen Meade me really thirsty and I had to track down a server to get some. Napkin fell to the ground and no one was around to get a replacement. It's too bad because I want to come back but this is the final trip. read more

My girlfriend and I were in Medford for dinner, and wanted to grab some sushi. We chose this location because it was the only one that opened past 9pm on a Sunday night. We arrived at about 8:15pm, and noticed that the restaurant was very busy. When we arrived, we were not greeted by anyone, not even the hostess. There was a family who got up and left after waiting for a long time. Finally at about 835pm we were seated at the sushi bar. Once seated, no one came to take our order. At 850pm, I asked one of the workers if they could take our order, but he said that he couldn't take our order because he was not a server. He told us he would let a server know we were ready. After that, there were multiple servers that walked past us, and not once did any one of them stop to ask if we were ready to order. However, people who were seated after us have already started to receive their food. So a little after 9pm, we decided to leave and give our business to another restaurant. TL;DR: Not a recommended place to eat. Service is non-existent. I would only recommend eating here if you have hours to waste. read more

My wife and I were attending a concert at the Craterian Theater last night. We were celebrating our anniversary as well. Being Sushi connoisseurs we looked for a Sushi restaurant close by the Craterian. We found Misoya on Yelp and figured it was worth a try as it was throwing distance to the Theater. What a pleasent surprise. We had our usual array of Sushi along with a couple of their special rolls. The Harry Potter Roll was awesome to say the least. We had a variety of different fish. It was very fresh and prepared perfectly. The service was over the top. Amber and Cheyanne were very friendly and made us feel as though we were being served by familly. Needless to say we will be back soon. Show or not. Its worth the 25 minute drive for us from up here on the ranch. read more

A good friend raves about their sushi and while I don't eat sushi I agreed to meet her there because I owed her lunch for a favor she did for me when I needed assistance. It was ok. Ambiance is reasonably comfortable, the temperature good, the energy upbeat, and the crowd very loud. (Some people REALLY love to eat and have a lot of fun doing it!) I've eaten there a second time a couple of weeks prior too, when I had our initial lunch appointment erroneously scheduled. I had the bulogi beef twice. It was good the first time, just acceptable the second. The second time it was stringy and fatty but the first time it was not. The first time kimchi on the side and the second not, they give you what they give you and you have no choice. I wanted ginger sauce as I burn through it, and during the entire meal the server ran by one time and neve asked if we needed anything. Since my mouth was full of stringy beef I couldn't get the words out fast enough, and ultimately just decided to eat without it. The moral is, if you want to be loud and have sushi only, this seems to be your spot. But if you want lean meat dishes and to have any extras there are probably better choices. rs read more

I would like to rate better because the food is pretty good. The problem I have is the staff. I ate there 3-11-2018 at around 5 pm. it wasn't busy at all so the issue was not with being distracted by work. The problem was with the 3 servers being distracted with trying to find dates. One young lady spent a lot of time at the register on her phone on a dating service getting advice from her coworkers. We had to ask for both menu's after being seated and for water while they were grouped together at the register. Terrible service, food was pretty good but not worth the horrific service we received here. We really wanted to like this place, since the atmosphere was really nice(at first glance) We waited a while before the waitress even brought us water. We had to get our own menus while the staff watched us contemptuously, looking around for over ten minutes. Weird...And the place wasn't very busy, maybe two or three tables. I am a waitress and have been for over ten years, and I know when another waitress just blatantly doesn't care about her service. She did ask us how we were doing but didn't stop, just kept walking past as she asked us this...The server left before we finished our meal, so obviously wasn't concerned about receiving a tip. She forgot to bring the one thing I asked for. It felt like by being there we were putting them out...that's not the feeling one should get when they go out to eat. A suggestion for this restaurant: train your staff to be nicer, attentive to their customers needs. It is severely lacking in this regard. My girlfriend and I decided to try out the sushi here for dinner ( as she had just been in for lunch a few days prior) and got there at around 7:00. There was a waiting line of about 3 people ahead of us so we knew there would be a slight wait. After 29 minutes of standing in line, a few people left because there were seats available and yet no host seating anyone. Finally after 35 mins of waiting we flagged a server down to ask if there were seats available and we were seated. We got water and edamame, and order pot stickers since we were very hungry. We then waited an hour before getting our sushi ( which came in about 10 minute intervals from each other) never got water refilled, and didn't get the spicy mayo that we had ordered. All in all the food was sub Parr at best and the service was nonexistent. There are MUCH better places to eat Sushi and we won't be heading back there again. read more

It can be hard to find good sushi here in S. Ore. Misoya Bistro has a large menu with both cooked Japanese and raw sushi and sashimi plates. The prices are average to high for sushi in the valley, $12 for a roll, but the portions are good and the fish is fresh and tasty. We have been here twice so far, both times very good. The last time we split a bento box (chicken teriyaki with rice, salad, california roll, gyoza) and also ordered a couple of rolls. The gyoza was the best I have had in a long, long time. The chicken teriyaki was good, not great. The sushi rolls were very good. They bring out complimentary edemame to start and finish up with complimentary fresh orange. Service is decent. We have only sat on the patio, but will be heading back again and continue to try new things on the menu. read more

Went here today at lunch because it is close to campus. I was basically unimpressed with the food. My rolls fell apart, my edamame was cold(not sure if that's the traditional way to serve it but it's not good). Service was good, the young man working there I recognized from the organic natural cafe as the very nice young man who worked in the kitchen! He was sooo nice! I was very glad to see him there! Asked to know that the chef's specials were and we're told to check the board when you come in. Oh, ok. Very disappointing. We were super excited to come back after restaurants reopened since the summer. It had been many months since we were able to sit down and enjoy ourselves at a nice restaurant. But of course it was too good to be true... We put our name on the list and they said they would call us when our table was ready. There were about 4-5 parties ahead of us. After over an hour, we had no call and I went inside to check what was going on and the waitress rudely told me "If you're not on the list, no service..." I told her I was on the list and I had been waiting awhile and she told me it wasn't ready yet. I left and came back again (after already waiting 1 hr) we walked back in and saw that the book page was turned- they had skipped over us, not even crossed my name off and never called us. I asked why and the waitress didn't say anything but pointed us to a table. Dining experience was rushed, they never asked us for our drink order. I got the vegetarian roll that was cut super thinly, the inari that were tiny (had about 2 tablespoons of rice inside). The spicy tuna roll was good. The deluxe roll (I think it was the TNT roll) looked like a pile of red slop. The lady told me to pick up pieces of fish and put them back on top of the roll because it had fallen off. We had over an $80 ticket and left a 25% tip and were there for under 30 mins due to being rushed. Overall very disappointing dinner. We have been here multiple times and have never had this much of a problem with the service. Food is decently good. I wish their customer service was stronger. read more

So I won't spend my time reviewing about this topic, even though I was satisfied with the service at Misoya. I eat sushi and Asian food frequently, therefore I had some expectations about the food when I came here for the first time. I ordered the chicken bento box and my partner ordered two sushi rolls - spicy yellowtail and spider roll. All the food was very tasty and fresh that everytime I come back to this place I order the same thing. We were in for a late dinner & our server completely forgot our son's food, also the serving etiquette is terrible- walk around the table to serve when needed! I got the amber Roll, and although it was busy in there when I arrived, I still got my sushi super fast. Not only that, but also the rolls are the best. Misoya is our favorite place to eat out downtown. Service is fantastic almost every time and the food is incredible! I'm not an expert sushi consumer by any means, but their food always hits the spot. The spicy ramen soup and the teriyaki chicken are two favorites. I could seriously eat here every day. What a disappointment. This used to be our go to for Sushi. The service used to be great and so was the food. Not sure what happened here. Been about a year since we have been here for dinner. Huge change. Our server, Sarah, was disinterested at best. I felt like poking her to see if she was actually awake. They were out of red wines almost entirely. No Cab, No Merlot, No Pino... Just some crappy table wine. My spouse decided to try it. The glass the wine came in was COVERED in towel lint inside and out. Maybe it was there to soak up the bad flavor of the cruddy red wine. Our order was taken and our waitress disappeared. About 5 minutes after the wine made the table, my luke warm beer arrived in a glass that was also covered in lint. Next up, my Wife's entree arrived... A few minutes later, the tempura from my side order arrived, then my entree... About 10 minites later our appetizers made it to the table, well,some of them. We finished a very bland, hastily prepared meal and Sarah showed up again to ask, "want your check?" After bringing the bill, I advised her that our gyoza never arrived to the table. She offered to have it made then but I asked to just have it removed from the bill. Not sure what happened to this place in a year but it is a totally different experience from what it was. It has always been on the pricier side but the atmospher, service and food made up for it. Not anymore. Honestly, don't think we will return. read more
