Well, well ,well. You already know once I heard there was a new restaurant on the scene serving up some Trini dishes I had to check it out! The look of this restaurant is very unassuming from the outside, but once you enter it is beautifully decorated with bright colors and greenery very reminiscent of the tropics. I sat at the bar and had a Cocorita, Rum Me Up, Vessigny Breeze, Doubles, and Curry Goat Roti. As someone who typically shies away from coconut-flavored cocktails, I have to admit that the Cocorita was actually tasty. The only reason I wouldn't get it again is because it's super sweet and I'm not into super sweet drinks, but the flavors were all there. The Rum Me Up was also very sweet but a little less sweet and I really liked the various fruit flavors and that I could taste the rum. The Vessigny Breeze cocktail was their take on a tropical LIT and it surprised me in a good way; I would definitely get the last cocktail again since it was the least sweet out of the 3. The Doubles were pretty tasty and once I added some pepper sauce it was on point. The Curry Goat Roti did not come "enveloped" as described on the menu so that was a little saddening but the goat meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to pure tenderness! However, the roti skin was dry, dense, lacked flavor, and honestly tasted a bit old (not the light, fluffy texture you would expect from a fresh roti skin). The channa and potatoes that came with the dish were ok, but also lacked flavor. Definitely, the true star of this dish was really the curry goat so I wish the portion size was just a tad bigger :) The service was friendly and I appreciated that the bartender Trina and Latoya, who is one of the owners, were very friendly and welcoming. I also liked that they played a decent amount of soca overhead while I was there so, that put a smile on my face. Overall, I'm glad I got to check this spot out and I look forward to trying some other dishes and to them having even more specialty cocktails on their menu. read more

This place is super cute and our drinks at the bar were on point! Once we moved to our table, Ken gave us a 5 star experience!

Soooo I was touring the MLK exhibit and we met a guy named Ken on the streets who gave us a free appetizer flyer if we checked this place out. We headed there immediately because we were starving from all the walking, parking was free but a bit sketchy to walk up to the restaurant with a lot of people loitering around but once inside the restaurant you immediately felt a calm presence. They asked if we had reservations but there was no one there to begin with. We ordered and got the regulars like jerk chicken, curry goat and oxtail and the food portions was just enough to eat the full plate but also enough to take home for leftovers. Everything was seasoned just right. The restaurant was very clean and definitely gave all the Trinidad vibes which I loved! We met the owner Miss Conduck and her daughter and they really did a great job welcoming us to the town. Definitely if you're in the area, try this place out but make a reservation if you can. Oh! Where to begin! First, I loved that they had their own free private parking, which in Atlanta is a huge plus! The space was very surprising as from the street it looks small and almost unassuming, but when you walk through the door, the space opens up to the most beautiful decor, opulent seating and the bar was GORGEOUS! They also have a beautiful outdoor patio and an area that can be booked for private parties. The host Ken was welcoming and very helpful. The bartender greeted us with a smile and provided fantastic service (my blackberry lemon drop was perfect). Now for the part you really want to know about...The food...OMG the food! I placed a to-go order (I wish that I had the time to dine-in), I was starving so I opened my food to take a bite in the car and when I tell you that it was SO GOOD, I went BACK inside just to tell the chef how good it was and how I would be back again soon and would be telling everyone about my experience. The menu said that the meats were marinated, but lots of places say the same thing and only have surface seasoning. I ordered the Stewed Chicken Main and EVERY SINGLE BITE was bursting with flavor and so tender. To say that I am impressed, is an understatement. The place is so beautiful I started planning how I could hold a private party there. My visit to Miss Conduck was like finding a hidden gem and I HIGHLY recommend dining there! Absolutely a 5-star experience at Miss Conduck! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is warm, but the real star here is the food. I ordered the curry chicken, and it was perfection--tender, flavorful, and with just the right amount of spice to make each bite memorable. But what truly stole the show was the roti skin. Since moving to Georgia I've been trying to find roti to my liking. I've had my share of rotis, but the roti at Miss Conduck is something else entirely. Soft, flaky, and with a texture that complements the curry perfectly--it was simply exceptional. Every bite was like a hug for my taste buds! I'll definitely be coming back for more. Last night around 8PM craving the memories of being back home in the Caribbean and having a proper meal. And to my surprise I was able to find this gem of a restaurant. Came in today for the first time super excited because I'm Trini and it's hard to find good, authentic Trini cuisine in the Atlanta area!! I sat at the bar and had Mickee as my server. Overall experience was 3/5 only due to the lack of professionalism/accountability. I ordered a coconut water, lemon drop, and doubles at the bar. I placed a to go order of curry chicken with extra gravy, macaroni pie, & plantains. When I told her the order she was struggling to repeat it back so I repeated it back one by one for her again. She never wrote it down or anything. I was the only one seated at the bar that she was serving. When the bill comes, she charged me for "curry goat" instead of "curry chicken". When I told her about it, her first response was "yeah but I repeated it back to you" and I replied "yeah I also repeated it back to you, I ordered the curry chicken". She was not rude, but the energy shifted and for that to be her default response when it was her error...it just made me disappointed and wanted to leave and left me feeling uncomfortable as if I did something wrong. Never did she apologize...On top of that I know I would never order curry goat--I only eat chicken. The doubles weren't as authentic as I hoped they would be and I'm assuming I caught them on a bad day. Would still encourage people to go. The to go order I devoured at home and it was delicious. Curry chicken definitely did not come with the extra gravy that I asked for 3 times. I was excited to bring my husband here tmw, but I don't think I'll be back. I was happy I found this new upscale Trini restaurant on Google. The decor was lovely and gives patrons a dining setting that makes you feel as if you are in a tropical environment (in a great way). The customer service was the first thing my family noticed when they entered. They were greeted and seated promptly. Throughout our entire meal, Angel was very attentive. Ms. Emily was very friendly and ensured that everything was going well with our meal. The food exceeded our expectations, and was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. This is one of the only Trini restaurants I've been able to find in Georgia that has delicious food AND drinks. I am one who appreciates customer service above everything else... if you treat me like a person, not a number or a payday, that goes a long way towards earning my respect and loyalty as a customer. I have only been to this location once, and it was on a Monday, which happens to be a day that the establishment is closed. So we did not get a chance to experience the food, BUT what made me want to give a stellar review, even without tasting the food, was the fact that one of the owners, Latoya, saw us walk up, try to open the door, and though we could not see her (the windows are dark, so you can see out but not in) she opened the door, greeted us and talked to us the way anyone would want to be treated! She was polite, personable, friendly, and chatted with us for a few minutes. SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO OPEN THE DOOR AT ALL. But she DID. During that brief conversation, not only did she clear our confusion about her hours of operation with a very pleasant conversational demeanor, (Yelp had not yet posted hours) but said she would address that for future customer convenience. She made recommendations to help us find a place to go in the meantime, genuinely engaged us about our visit to Atlanta (we shared that we were from out of town) looked at a picture of my family's event with sincere interest (we were here for an 80th bday celebration) and invited us to come back with remorse that she could not service us immediately. If her restaurant's food is ANYTHING close to the quality of service, then anyone dining in her restaurant is in for a treat! We intend to come back simply to support her and her mother (co-business owners) because she treated us with such grace... people like that are rare. read more

Service was inconsistent. Our order was taken three times by different servers who apparently didn't communicate. Entrees were chicken in our case and were $23 each. A lot for 1/4 of a chicken. Taste was ok but not the "best." They had the Sunday pay at the table app so we used that. The total was about $130. Or so we thought. They chased us out of the restaurant and dinged us for another $60 for drinks and appetizers. WTF? We had a show to go to so we didn't argue much. Just a bad experience. Authentic Caribbean food with excellent service! Food: My favorite Jerk chicken rasta pasta to date! The spicy yet flavorful sauce seemed one with the noodles instead of being a creamy, Alfredo-like sauce that merely coated them. Jerk seasoning had a nice kick too, so it was nice they had a tamarind sauce that tapered the heat without being too sweet. My husband was born in Guyana and delighted they knew what he meant when he wanted the "dhal puri" version of the goat curry roti. I was happy he finally had genuine roti again! The goat was tender and flavorful. The portions were too more than we could finish, but we'd also just had to try the "Double Doubles." I was initially reluctant because I don't like fried food, but it didn't come across as fried and wasn't oily. It was more of a lightly fried bread with delicious mix of chickpeas and other goodness inside. We also added the hot pepper sauce -- spicy with lots of familiar flavor! Drinks: I enjoyed the happy hour margarita because it wasn't overly sweet or watered down like I've had at other restaurants, including Mexican ones. Husband liked his Red Stripe (Jamaican lager). Service: Everyone from the owners (mother/daughter) to our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The well-known Ritchie wasn't working tonight, but we felt well cared for by Shania (sp?). We enjoyed talking to the owners and learning the origins of this new restaurant. Parking: I'd read about the parking behind the restaurant but missed the turn because it was right before the restaurant, so we had to drive around the block. I've included a picture of where we should have turned in hopes it helps others (assuming nobody paints over the woman!). I went here on a date and it was such a fantastic experience! We started off with the pholourie and the tamarind sauce. They were so fluffy inside and perfectly crisp on the outside. Then I had the coconut shrimp with the cocorita and the rum punch. The cocorita was perfectly sweet, thick and tasty! The coconut shrimp was absolutely delicious too and the shrimp sauce was so flavorful. My date had the oxtails and long story short I ate this man's food as well! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miss Conduck Restaurant, a hidden gem in the heart of Atlanta's historic downtown area. This spot is located on historic Edgewood Avenue. It's one of the stops on the Atlanta downtown trolly loop. We walked there after visiting The King Center. From the moment I stepped in, I knew it would be a good experience. The space was beautiful and the hostess greeted me as soon as I walked in. The menu featured a wide variety of Caribbean dishes. My friend and I shared the Coconut Shrimp and Doubles appetizers. They were both yummy. I ordered their stew chicken as my main meal. My friend ordered the oxtails. We loved those also. The drinks were tasty and the service was impeccable. We didn't get a chance to try the desert, but it sure looked good. We will definitely be back!! This is a perfect place for a date, girls night out, birthday celebration or family gathering. I live in Miami and on my various trips to Atlanta to visit family I wanted some Caribbean food so I came across a West Indian Caribbean Restaurant called Miss Conduck very catchy name so my friend I decided to try it. From the moment I walked in the hostess was very friendly and the ambiance gave you a feeling of being in the Caribbean. The décor was very elegant and homey. Its very nice to go out and hear your Caribbean music and I love soca music so that topped it off right there. The owners Emily and Latoya was very friendly and they came over to greet us and ask how everything was. OMG I had the braised oxtails with the Rasta pasta with a side of Calalloo and it was phenomenal. I also ordered the doubles and curry chicken Roti to go. My friend had the rice and Peas with curry goat and a side of baked macaroni. I also had a rum punch and my friend had a coco Loco that was really good. T The service was really great to, our waitress was Angel and she was engaging, friendly and very attentive. 10 out of 10 Angel..She suggested the drinks to us and it hits the spot.. this was a vey great experience I will visit again.
