Oxtail plate with rice & peas and cabbage
    Gina L.

The last time I came here was 10 years ago. I was in town again and happy to see this place survived the pandemic. I stopped by about 30 min before closing and ordered an oxtail plate and a beef pattie. The pattie was delicious, they weren't stingy with the meat! Perfect ratio. The oxtail plate was delicious too! So glad I came back. I appreciate the good customer service too! God bless!

Been wanting to try this place for a while now, and glad I did! It's hard to find parking in the area and the parking beside the building is good for about 4 cars. No real inside dining the service was fast and the ambience definitely gave neighborhood vibes. The beef patty was very delicious stuffed in the coco bread. My brown stew chicken with rice and beans and cabbage was superb!!

Good selection. Location is kinda whatever, but don't let that fool you. Great food here.

Super satisfied with the food and the service! Me and my guy got the Curry Chicken with collard greens, cabbage, and red beans and rice! Our food was made fresh and the customer service was good! Although it's a 'hole in the wall' I would definitely recommend this place!

Visited this hole in the wall while visiting the distillery down the street. The cashier was very friendly in helping me figure out what I should probably get. My buddy got a sorrel drink and curry chicken platter. My buddy let me try his sorrel drink. It was quite good. I also got to try the chicken. Super good and almost made me regret my decision. I got the jerk chicken sandwich and a curry chicken patty, and a side of sweet plantains. I thought the sandwich was decent, but a little dry. The patty's curry chicken wasn't as flavorful as my buddy's platter. Plantains were as good as one would expect. I washed it all down with a Jamaican Pineapple Ginger soda. Super good flavor combination I had never had before. I wouldn't hesitate coming back here.

First time here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The jerk chicken is spicy (obviously) and veggie plate is good. Also the Sorrel drink is delicious. I'd def come back. The jerk chicken spice lingers too FYI. Lol They're vegetarian friendly too!

First time visiting Foxx. I had the curry goat dinner with the rice and beans and cabbage. I've been looking for authentic Jamaican food since I left Jamaican. I loooove spicy food so that's the only reason I gave it three stars. It wasn't spicy. It's also two blocks within walking distance from the MLK Center. The place is small but we were blessed to find a seat to dine in.

This place NEVER disappoints. A true Atlanta GEM! Still raggedy, that mean ass lady is still behind the counter, but most importantly the food is still FLAME! Soooo good

One of my favorite Jamaican spots to go to...it's my favorite hole in the wall spot...great customer service from the mom an daughter...so today I ordered the oxtail lunch plate, curry chicken lunch plate an Jamaican & pineapple soda....they make me feel like I'm back at home every time I come in here.....

I tried the oxtail plate today. We got there maybe 30 minutes before they closed and i don't know if that affected the food quality but the rice was really salty , while the cabbage lacked salt. They're also not the sweet oxtails if that's what you like. Seriously disappointed

Needed a fast & small, yet solid meal while making my way around ATL. Someone hipped me to this spot so I pulled up my yelp app, reviewed a few photos, and gave it a go. I parked on the street, dropped a quarter in the meter, and went inside. I'm always disappointed when small places like this don't keep the place fresh looking. I'm so over the "hole in the wall" thing. A damp rag, a bucket filled with industrial cleaner, a $27 gallon of paint from Home Depot...it takes so little. I've grown increasingly impatient with businesses that show little regard for how they present themselves. Respect me enough to keep it nice! Anyway, the woman at the counter was pleasant. I wanted sorrel, but they were still making it, so opted for soursop instead. Too sweet and syrupy, but at 102 degrees outside, it lasted about 18 secs. The coco bread tasted like it was made from scratch within the previous hour. It's absurd that growing up eating tons of Caribbean food in NYC, I would find some of the best coco bread I've had in my life in Atlanta, GA....the "dirty south". The callaloo patty also had to have been made right there in the kitchen. Most restaurants buy them in bulk from somebody's granny, freeze them, and sell them as needed by the day. These tasted nothing of the sort. Overall, a delicious and satisfying meal with great quality ingredients. If they took as much care with the upkeep of the place, this would be a well-deserved 5 stars.

The food here is DELICIOUS!!! The place is pretty small and not very appealing to the eyes, but the food makes up for all of that. The menu has good variety and the food has a lot of flavor. This is authentic Jamaican cuisine. If you want to know what real Jamaican food is all about, check out this spot.

As someone who is known for seeking out and truly testing vegetarian options at Caribbean…read morerestaurants, I have to say--Miss Conduck is easily the best Caribbean flavor restaurant in Atlanta. And coming from a Jamaican background, let me be clear: the usual Trinidad vs. Jamaica debate does not apply here. This place stands on its own. From the moment the food hit the table, one thing was consistent across everything we ordered: it was hot, fresh, and made with real intention and flavor. We started with the fried cauliflower bites. The batter was light, crispy, and well done--definitely a solid starter. I wasn't a big fan of the tartar sauce it came with, but it didn't take away from the quality of the cauliflower itself. My friend ordered the jerk chicken rolls, and I have to give credit where it's due--the sauce that came with those rolls was incredible. Easily one of the standout sauces of the night. Next, I had the doubles, and because I like my food with a kick, I asked for pepper sauce. Now, I'll admit--I made my first one obnoxiously hot. But what I discovered was the real winning combination: adding the callaloo on top of the doubles. That was the perfect match. The callaloo itself is blended with so many elements into a rich, flavorful purée, and when paired with the doubles, it created this burst of layered, authentic Caribbean flavor that was just on point. I also ordered a veggie plate with rice and peas, cabbage, and chickpeas, and they did not disappoint. The portion size was generous, and every single item was clearly made with flavor in mind--not just thrown together as an afterthought for vegetarians. I also tried the macaroni pie--it's a smaller portion, but it's true Caribbean mac and cheese, rich and satisfying. The fried plantains were done perfectly--hot, fresh, and with that ideal balance of sweetness and texture. Then came the rasta pasta. My first couple of bites, I thought it needed a little more kick--but by the third bite, everything came together perfectly. You can taste the layers of vegetables building flavor, and there's a subtle heat that isn't overpowering but adds depth. The noodles were cooked exactly how they should be--perfect texture, not overdone, not undercooked. One thing I always pay attention to is this: Is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant also approved by meat eaters? And in this case, the answer is absolutely yes. My friend had the jerk chicken, and she said it was spectacular. She actually lives nearby and already plans to come back regularly. Honestly, I was surprised the place wasn't packed wall to wall. The atmosphere is incredible--it has its own unique style that really makes you feel like you've stepped into the Caribbean. The music, the vibe, everything is intentional. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. We even watched them handle a large party, and they went above and beyond to make sure that group was fully taken care of. All in all, this place exceeded expectations on every level. Five stars without hesitation. If you're in Atlanta and want real Caribbean flavor--whether you eat meat or not--Miss Conduck is a must-visit. I highly recommend making a reservation and experiencing it for yourself.

We tried calling ahead, but no one answered; fortunately, it wasn't too busy when we arrived, so our tardiness wasn't an issue. There was a DJ playing a nice mix of hip hop and R&B, which set a great vibe. We weren't immediately greeted since no one was at the hostess stand, but someone from the kitchen noticed us right away and seated us. They offered a $28 "Girl Brunch" with a choice of cornbread or deviled eggs, plus either jerk chicken fried rice or croissant French toast with blueberry compote, along with a lemon drop. I chose the deviled eggs and croissant French toast and gave the lemon drop to my friend, opting for a mocktail instead. My friend ordered the cornbread and steak and eggs. We both enjoyed everything. I was pleasantly surprised by the croissant French toast, and the mocktail was just as good as any cocktail.
