This Korean barbecue is great! Large selection of meats staff is nice and the food is good

The food was pretty good. The service was not. A female manger came out to help the servers and she was so unfriendly and not helpful at all. Had to wait to long for meat to be brought out. Had to ask for lettuce a couple times. Sauces ran out. Will try again. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. read more

New Korean BBQ restaurant in McDonough! I'm so glad they opened one here. Our family got the AYCE option and loved it. We had brisket, pork belly, beef bulgogi, vegetables and side dishes. The grills are huge and the service is great. I am hoping that they will have more marinated meat options in the future. We will be back! read more

I didn't use the grill but the restaurant cooked Pork Shoulder was very good and flavorful. I also tried the Spicy Pork Belly and Spicy Ramen. The Pork Shoulder was my favorite. read more

This restaurant is great. Previously we would have to drive to Atlanta for this type of food. I have been maybe 3-4 times since they have opened. Such a great addition to the food scene in Henry County. read more

My wife and I went for lunch on a weekday. There wasn't anyone present to seat us, and once we were seated, the service was a little slow. In addition, the menu is a bit hard to understand. Once our waitress is explained the menu, we opted for the all you can eat lunch ($19.99 a person). What that entailed was a nice variety of Korean sides and 2 large salads. Then, 2 hot sides (corn and eggs) were served on the hibachi at our seat, and we chose beef bulgogi and chicken which was cooked on the hibachi in front of us as well. It was a bit confusing at first as to who was going to cook the meat, but it became evident we were expected to cook our own (which was actually fun) along with the mixed vegetables grilled along with the meat. We also had a selection of very good dipping sauces along with sides of white rice. One thing I particularly enjoyed was using the egg, vegetables, rice and spicy pepper to sauce to whip up a small dish of Bi Bim Bap. All in all, the food was excellent with the exception of the spicy pork belly which was fatty and had small portions still attached to small pieces of bone. We stopped here as travelers passing through, but if I were a local, I would definitely go back. So, here's my recommendation. There's some minor issues with service, and there's a bit of a learning curve you need to go through to order and eat, but you'll figure all that out during the first visit. Fantastic Korean BBQ! We enjoyed the AYCE menu, and we chose brisket, chicken bulgogi, garlic pork belly, shrimp and New York steak. We came hungry and left happy. Try a soju while you're there! Our server was polite and accommodating of my ignorance, as I had never been to Korean BBQ before (but am no stranger to good Asian food. The ONLY weird thing is the way the restaurant is setup at the hostess station, it shares the station and bar with the Japanese restaurant in the same building. read more

Food was good but unfortunately the customer service was lacking. Part of the reason we visit these restaurants is for the experience. Still tipped the waiter 15%. Hopefully he's new and just starting out. Seriously doubt if I'll go back any time soon. If I do, I hope to have a better experience. read more

I've been twice now and absolutely loved it!! The last time we went the manager waited on us and even let us try their new item! They cook it for you but if you would prefer to cook it yourself just let them know. They are very fast at getting you what you need side and drink wise. We are planning on going back tomorrow night and I can't wait! read more

My wife and I have had many different places for Korean BBQ but Miss Gogi ranks up there towards the top as one of our favorites. We got the all you can eat which to us was the best value and you get to try a great assortment of meats. The beef bulgogi was one of our favorites of the choices. The sides are amazing and compliment the meat perfectly. To top it off our server Ishmael made our experience that much better. I've been here twice so far and each time the meat has been good when it comes to quality and the servers say the meat is prepared daily and you can tell. The all you can eat option is nice but it's 29.99. Not the cheapest kbbq around but if you factor in the time it takes to get anywhere else with kbbq then it evens out. read more

The problem with miss Gogi is that they don't have good quality meat with any good flavor. The kimchi was not eve all that good. The service was very bad because they did not even cook for us. The Korean barbecues up on Duluth is much better. Like the places such as 678. The place was also very pricey for what we got. 678 is lower in price and there is a lot of left overs. The tip is also automatically included so you can not make any changes. read more

This place is horrible. Meat flavor is not good. We have party of 7 . They combine table but they don't want to open two grill so everyone was in a tight space. The service was not even all that good either, the cook did not even cook for us and we had to do it ourselves. We still had to pay them a $22 tip because they already included it in the check. read more

I have eaten here now 4 times and cN day I have not been disappointed! My wife and I came together and she is a K BBQ aficionado and she loved it! The menu continues to grow, and everything they have added has made this my favorite spot in McDonough! Finally we don't have to drive 45 minutes to get good Korean BBQ. If you haven't been you must go and try it! You won't be disappointed. It isn't sit down and get food cooked delivered to you so you have to be ready to spend time and enjoy a meal! if i could leave 0 stars i would. if you're a vegetarian don't ever come here!! they charged 32$ for the all you can eat just so i could eat salad...? also the service was horrible and the waiter was so rude. he barely came back. there was 4 of us and they made us leave a 25$ gratuity. if you don't finish your food you get charged even more. i don't normally leave bad reviews but this was horrible. read more

I really liked it. I've been to a few Korean bbq joints on the north side of town and this holds up. I like the beef bulgogi, shrimp, beef brisket , pork belly... I could go on. I like the sides provided with the dish and waitstaff was attentive and helpful the three times I've been. I hope it stays around. Need more places like this on the south side. read more

Miss Gogi shares a building with Yuki Japanese Restaurant. Went to get Korea BBQ at 10:13 and was told that the kitchen was closed for Korean. The host said that they usually don't close the kitchen until 10:15 (as if that was supposed to make me feel better) even though they don't close until 11:00. Then he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to be seated for Hibachi. Unacceptable!!! read more

The food was blend and lack of taste. Bento box comes in a plate and not in the expected bento box. To top it off they charge a service charge on all customers regardless of the party size. Will never come back. I do not recommend this place. read more

I was estatic to see that we finally have a KBBQ spot in the south side. We previously had to drive up north to Duluth, so we are excited to have something close by. The restraunt is located in a beautiful facility, the food was superb! Being from Los Angeles where K-town is a hop skip and a jump away with the best authentic korean food, I'm a hard sell and very critical of korean food. This place is legit and sooo good, and I'm not sure why the reviews are saying the food is bland. If you get the unmarinated meat, yes of course it'll be bland which means that those people have never had korean food because that's when you use the dipping sauces! The marinated LA kalbi, garlic pork belly, and bulgogi are excellent. Brisket is on par with most AYCE korean places in LA (use the dipping sauces people!). The spicy ramen is very spicy. Hoping they add more banchan but the kimchi is legit as well (one of the things that I base on whether a korean restaurant is good)! Korean rice could be better. Also, they use green leaf lettuce which is also legit and not romaine lettuce for the salad and lettuce wraps. Looking forward to the further food additions. Try this place out as Hubby and I will be back in the future! AYCE korean In McDonough is a gem! read more
