Made to order, the bacon was crispy but not hard, the avocado puree was smooth and fragrant, the vegetables were crisp and juicy, and the soft-boiled egg and cheese were perfectly runny; but the most beautiful part was the toast itself--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and with each bite, the slightly charred edges gently cracked open--it was simply divine. Breakfast Burrito: I chose the non-spicy avocado salsa (green sauce). The tortilla was soft yet chewy, the egg and bacon were aromatic, and the potatoes and pinto beans were delicate and firm. It had a slight spiciness, but not overpowering. The sauce was mainly tangy, which helped cut through the richness. I was not expecting to have one of the best salads, new favorite unlocked. This place is so cute, I love that it reminds me of the 80s and the brand LA Gear. I'm a professional organizer so the fact that there bookshelf's were so organized made me fall in love there more. There was tons of seating! I was able to find meter parking around the corner but definitely had to walk past a few homeless encampments which are harmless. I definitely would come back and I will be for that salad! read more

Located right off Hollywood, Tiago didn't look like much from the outside (you could only see the sparse outdoor seating), but the interior was nice with high ceilings and plenty of color and energetic music. Order at the counter and take a number. Staff were nice and attentive, though I did come around 2pm on a weekday and there were only two other groups there at the same time I was. I got the grilled chicken sandwich with a lemonade. Both were great. The sandwich had a great ciabatta bread and flavorful fillings. Lemonade was alright, if a little on the smaller size. I would come here again to hang out or grab a bite. I would try their combo option next time (only spotted it on their menu too late, after I had already ordered). read more

The service was also extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the mocha latte with oat milk and it was perfectly balanced and the espresso was fresh and flavorful. It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. We were able to score a large table and the seats were so comfy. The cafe was also well maintained and very clean. A huge bonus is that they have a punch card that allows you to get a free drink on your tenth purchase. I love the soup here and the entire menu doesn't ever disappoint. Christopher is a very kind person who I see before or after my yoga class and always lets me sit drink coffee and journal before or after my yoga class. I have always absolutely loved Tiago. I used to live down the street. I returned after not having gone for several months. New staff, although still friendly. They no longer carry the banana bread mini loaf that I used to be addicted to which is fine... I think they go with a different baker now. But what used to really be the shining star of Tiago was the fresh food. After a three day juice cleanse the first thing that I craved was the decadent burrito bowl at Tiago. I rushed there this morning to order it, along with a side of broccolini à la carte. A while ago, the burrito bowl would've been a genuine 10 out of 10. Unbelievably fresh and delicious flavors that you just couldn't forget once you tried them. Today's burrito bowl was a 6.5 out of 10. Overall, the theme of the food was that it didn't seem fresh. The chicken was a bit overcooked and The cilantro didn't seem fresh or flavorful. The broccolini was a miss for me. It was old, floppy, yet dry and burnt at the top. No flavor, so I asked for aïoli and they told me that that would cost extra. I probably will come back to see if the Healthy Ho and Breakfast Sandwich are still as good as I remember them. I'm not much of a brunch person but might try them if I get hungry before lunch. So far so good. You can taste the attention to detail. I ordered an espresso and the cuban sandwich. The tuna melt was brought up instead. I head back to the register to have it replaced. I'm holding a phone by my ear as I was getting connected to the party I had business with. The lady behind the register Taiwan, did not apologize for the mistake. She got offended that I didn't give her enough attention given that I was on the phone . She raised her voice and called me rude. I had to drop the call. I got upset because A. I was hungy B. I was finally connected after a long hold while waiting for my food and had to drop just because the queen Taiwan needed attention. C. She did not apologize D. She made be to be the bad guy. After I had to drop the call, I gave her my full attention and let her know how upset she made me but she didn't like it either. All she had to do is to replace the sandwich no questions asked but I believe she wanted to charge me for the cuban sandwich because it was more expensive and they charged me for the tuna melt. I said no, your mistake. So you fix it. She asked me to leave. I did. Hungry. Flabbergasted. Infuriated. I was going to write this review but I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. So I emailed to the management. Brittney Valles responded and in a polite and courteous manner she thanked me for reaching out before writing a review. My ask was simple. A. Refund. Can you imagine? I had to ask for it. B. Personal apology. C.Cuban sandwich on the house so I can focus on the new customer experience and the food in my new review. Brittney promised for a full refund and two weeks later it was still not processed. She said personal apology goes against the company policy. And offered a $25 gift card which I declined because it means nothing to me without an apology. She claimed that she addressed the issue internally. What was interesting that she never inquired the name of the lady who I had an argument with. Or how she looked. The other day I was passing by and stopped at the cafe. Taiwan did not remember me. I asked her if Brittney Valles reached out to her and she said no. So it was apparent to me that no investigation was conducted. Bottom line. They screwed up. They blamed me. Did not apologize. No refund. I believe restaurant businesses arent just about food but also about making you feel home. Customer experience. They seriously screwed up. And refused to fix it. Stayed at a hotel near this coffee shop and have to say it does have a great location which is the reason I visited this spot. I have been here before in the past when visiting friends in the area as well. As far as cost I'd say it aligns with Starbucks. They charge $6-9 for most coffees. Breakfast will run you $15-30 per person depending on how much you like to eat in the morning. Breakfast Items - French toast is decent but not noteworthy. Breakfast burrito seems to be the most popular option. They sell pancakes, muffins, fruits and greens as well. If you just need a quick not special coffee there is a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Ghiradelli Store,Starbucks and multiple other restaurants and cafes all within a block distance away. read more

My partners and a friend came here for brunch before a movie at the IMAX theater nearby. We got there around 11 on a Saturday and were able to just beat the rush. Our friend had specifically requested a place with pancakes and good coffee and this was the only spot in walking distance that fit the bill. The breakie burrito is pretty good, with the tortilla layer being thin and lots of ingredients in there. I wouldn't say it's the best I have ever had nor would I say it's super special but it was decent and good. The healthy hoe was super good. I liked it but of course since it's healthy, it lacked my oh so loved carbs. I took it home and put a little bit of my leftover pasta in there (from the night before) and it was absolute perfection. Decent food served at hours a normal human, or at least tourist, will consider early enough for breakfast is hard to come by on the Hollywood strip. This is one of those VERY few options and is recommended by Loews Hotel's staff. I enjoyed my slightly spicy chilaquiles for $13, adding a second egg for about $2.50 more. My wife's "classic" with a couple fried eggs, bacon, and toast was good, though it's sourdough only with no whole grain options she prefers. Coffee was a bit of a disappointment, though acceptable. Both my wife's Americano (no refills) and my brewed version (with refills) were served tepid and are an Ethiopian base with that typical 'sour olive' flavor for these beans. Service is VERY kind and friendly. The music, which tends to eclectic club mixes, was a bit distracting but not so much so that you couldn't talk. There is plenty of patio and indoor seating. This will fit the breakfast bill and support what seems to be the closest to a local community you'll find in otherwise honky-tonk make-a-buck Hollywood. read more

It's a fun, colorful coffee shop located on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. They have validated parking in the back. The food was really good. My friend got a salad and I got the omelette. Both were tasty and clean. The music was a little loud for my preference. I would note that despite 80% vacant seating, someone came up to us within seconds of sitting down saying "we would like to reserve seating for paying customers only." As a small business supporter, I have no problem with this, but from a customer service view, I think that was unnecessary. I feel unwelcome and will not be returning. What lured me first to Tiago was it's aesthetic. Decorated with pastel pinks, blues, oranges and yellows with an undercurrent of a sort of industrial architecture, this little safe haven at the west end of the Walk of Fame was always very intriguing but I never went in. When I finally ventured inside I found out it's a coffeeshop and a diner inviting customers to either have a hearty brunch (max 4 in their booths inside, more capacity outside if you push tables together), or work in silence depending on your needs. The coffee is actually good compared to many of the nasty coffee spots in the neighborhood (shout out to Starbucks) and they actually know how to do coffee art (shout out to Cassandra). There's a few electric outlets inside and outside for you to plug in. The clientele is a mix of all identities which is normal for Hollywood-- young, old, Black, white, queer, able-bodied, etc. They bust out their food and drinks quite quickly. From the aesthetic to the menu options to the clientele this spot is an example of how seemingly disparate things can be in harmony. I like their coffee and location. The staff is a vibe. I fucks with it. You probably should too. But don't fuck with it too much... I don't want long lines lol. read more

I wanted to love this place. It's got a cheery atmosphere, and my husband said his coffee was great. My decaf cortado, unfortunately, tasted like . . . old gravy? Rotting mushrooms? Armpit? My husband tasted it, too, and agreed something was off. After a few sips, I returned it but the barista just sort of shrugged and said it was probably just the decaf. She offered to make it again with just one shot so it wouldn't be so strong. Um...that wasn't really the issue. A place that is serious about coffee should have good decaf. And at the least, she could've offered me a decaf tea or a hot chocolate to replace the bad coffee, but she just acted like, take it or leave it! I left it, and won't return, sadly. read more
