Vanilla bean lattes (one with pistachio milk & one with dairy milk); the most unique milk substitute we've seen in WeHo so far
    Jodie F.

Saw that they have pistachio milk, had to visit! It was about $13 for two 16-oz lattes with syrup (+ $1) & milk substitution (+ $.50). Most cafes charge like $1 for milk subs so this was very reasonable. It's definitely the most affordable coffee place we tried in WeHo so far. My latte with pistachio milk was pretty good! Hope they expand the menu, would love to try different flavors. My boyfriend's latte with dairy milk was underwhelming. We barely tasted the espresso. Will give it another try & ask for less milk next time haha. Small store with indoor & outdoor seating available. Street parking only.

Not sure if the name came from what I'm about to say, but this cute spot has a compellingly good iced coffee. Sometimes you find a good cold ice coffee and after a few sips it hits you "Wow, this is fantastically good coffee!" I had one of those moments today after ordering. From what I saw it's street parking only. However, I was able to park on the street for free before 11am on Sunday! Score!

Though this place is located in one of the newest buildings in the block (the line lofts) there is sketchy activity going on in the street so please don't seat on the tables outside if you're just a girl by yourself. Now the coffee and pastries is what drawn my friend and I into this place. We ordered the breakfast sandwhich (egg, bacon, avocado and chipotle on ciabatta... very compelling for sure!), the blueberry mufin and the orange pastry to share. All three were delicious and pretty filling for a shared breakkie. The coffee was solid and yummy as well. I love the inside plants and the attention. We got here pretty early one weekday morning and the guy in there was super attentive. I will be back accompanied again soon. Street parking.

Great service .fast to service. They have the cleanest oat milk with no fillers . Love the mocha and it right next to the pretty woman hotel with the balcony.

Came here three days in a row because it was walkable from my hotel in WeHo - and because the coffee and food is awesome. I tried: + cold brew + breakfast sandwich + ham and cheese croissant + turkey sandwich (the best food offering, definitely get this) + yogurt with jam and granola Super friendly baristas, too!

Good overall coffee! Super convenient for the folks that live in the neighborhood! I was basic and ordered the vanilla latte with almond milk. It was good and much needed for my commute to work.

I'm compelled to tell others about this coffee shop. Truly tiny yet mighty. A few blocks off the busy drag of Hollywood Blvd is Compelling Coffee. While it is simply a pick up window and a one seat coffeeshop, they focus on their pride and joy: Coffee. They honestly make a mean latte, cappuccino, and drip coffee. The Good Food Award medals only go to prove my point. I appreciate the fact that their coffee is ethically sourced and roasted locally in LA. I also love the option of oat and pistachio milk as an alternative milk offering (+.75 cents). While I have already been here twice, I foresee myself returning in the near future. The friendly staff, delicious lattes and chocolate banana bread (which also happens to be gluten free) are all stellar.

Small local place, we are here from out of town and I love trying new and local places and this one happened to be close to our hotel. They have lots of plants on the inside (I love plants so that is a bonus). A few stools to sit and they have a few pastries and juices and they also sell their bagged coffee. Only one size of coffee though, I like a big coffee so I was a bit disappointed about that. Service was quick and friendly. Only three choices for flavored syrup but they did have pumpkin for all those pumpkin lovers. We would definitely come back.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.

If that's the case, this is clearly something the business needs to address. Their Yelp listing is still directing customers to DoorDash, creating confusion about what they actually offer and where they can order from. Updating the DoorDash information would be a good start, and so would treating customers with a little more courtesy.

I do wish they had a menu printed on the wall because you can only see it once you get up to the counter to order, and it is a pretty detailed specialty drink menu. We got the Moonrise Kingdom ($10) and the Twin Peaks ($12) drinks. Both of those drinks are meant to be drunk on the premises so you can't get them to-go. I do find that a strange requirement, given that there isn't much seating at all, but I understand that they want to present the drinks a certain way. They were both spectacular and well-crafted (5/5). The Moonrise Kingdom was so cozy and tasty. The marshmallow on top was toasted and delish, the drink itself was very maple-y. The Twin Peaks was more of a mocktail vibe, and had a complex flavor profile, highlighting the coffee and cherry notes. If you haven't been here before, I will say: The prices are pretty steep for specialty coffee drinks, so this isn't a place I would go on a regular basis, but rather if I wanted a little treat on the weekend. I've never had a bad drink from Dayglow, and they always put effort into their craft. Would recommend if you want to try something new and out of the box!

The atmosphere is beautiful, especially in the morning. The whole interior of the hotel is absolutely stunning, and the outdoor seating area is so cozy and chic. I only ate breakfast here once, but came back for coffee every day and it never disappointed. The cappuccino was smooth and delicious, and I also really enjoyed the Mont Blanc specialty drink. I also stopped by for a late lunch one day. There weren't a ton of gluten-free options on the bar food menu (they weren't serving dinner yet), but when we asked about it, the staff really went above and beyond to accommodate me and made me a gluten-free club sandwich. I really appreciated the extra effort. I came back for dinner another night and had the beef kebabs, which were really tasty. My biggest complaint about the atmosphere is actually the music. For such a beautiful, upscale space, the soundtrack feels completely mismatched. They played loud upbeat, electronic/club-style music at night and even throughout much of the day while I was there. I understand wanting it to feel trendy, but the constant electronic beats really detracted from the atmosphere. Something like vibey jazz, R&B, or lounge music would complement the space so much better. Breakfast was also just okay, particularly for the price. I expect hotel restaurants to be overpriced, but around $90 for breakfast and coffee for two people felt really steep for what we got. Nothing was bad, but the food just wasn't memorable enough to justify the price. Overall, Café Goldie is a beautiful spot with wonderful service, excellent coffee, and a staff that really made an effort to accommodate my dietary needs. I especially recommend stopping by for coffee or an early evening happy hour.

I don't mind sweetness, but these leaned a bit too heavily in that direction for me, which ended up masking some of the coffee's flavor. That said, the café is located in a pleasant neighborhood and has a welcoming atmosphere. It's a comfortable spot to relax, meet friends, or work. The latte was perfect and not that horrific sweetness that tends to be the hallmark of most places these days and the lemonade was fresh and perfect for a lightly sunny drive over to the West Side. I knew I had to have the English muffin from the moment I saw it. We requested it simply toasted with butter and jam and shared each half. I wish I had a dog to sit and enjoy my time there as they offered free drip coffee refills. Maybe that's where I'll be later this week as I'm definitely coming back, and soon!

Stopped by for a cortado and overall had a good experience. The space is really nice, comfortable,…read moreclean, and somewhere I'd hang out. The cortado was solid, though not one of the stronger ones I've had. Presentation and latte art were decent, but there were some visible micro bubbles and the surface had a noticeable two-tone appearance rather than a fully integrated, glossy texture. The drink was also served hotter than a cortado should be, which made it difficult to pick up the coffee's character at first. As it cooled, some pleasant citrus notes started to come through and the drink became more enjoyable. Overall, a solid coffee shop with great atmosphere. I enjoyed the experience, but I think better milk integration and a more appropriate serving temperature would have elevated the cortado quite a bit.
