Seriously, I really want to like this place because it's conveniently located next to my daily routes...however, this place sucked. I've been here twice and both times I've been disappointed. My first full set that I received from this place was honestly the worst manicure I've ever received in my life. Within ONE week, my nails lifted and turned color. The lady that did my nails was also extremely unfriendly and had the "I just want to get this over with" attitude. I had to get another full set done within one week and the lady at the other salon said it was worst nail set she's ever seen, and I'd hve to agree! They were thick, lifting and coloring. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here a the Miss Nail salon. My toes are drying under this UV light they have set up for my feet. The pedicurist charged me $3 extra for a foot scrub... Uh, wtf? She didn't even massage my feet or legs. She was rude. And everything was done within 10 minutes? Quickest pedicure in the world. I'm seriously never coming here again. read more

I used to frequent this place when I was living in Oakland. I have not been back here for about 1 year. They have a large selection of nail designs you can choose from. They have the sample nail powder colors on pinwheels and several photo albums you can pick full set designs from. The reason I stopped coming here is because once, when I got a pedi here, my toe actually got infected from their dirty tools. A standard pedi for $18 and dirty tools is really not something I would come back for. Over the years this has NEVER happened to me and I get my Pedis every 3 weeks. You can get spa pedis for $15 at other places, and they use the disposable tools like nail files and scrubbers. I would come back here again to get my mani done. Let me just say, I have some kind of problem w/ my big toes where the side of the nails kinda dig into the skin and it hurts (TMI, I know. I've been told its NOT ingrown nails) and am always searching for a place where they're gentle when doing the cuticles. I've had those rough stuff ladies where they dig and dig and I look down to see my poor toes bleeding!!! In any case, Fam (the lady doing my toes) seemed to understand when I told her my toes HURT BAD! She spent quite a bit of time with some scary pointed tool but whatever she did, they're much better and No Bleeding :-) Mani was fine, but both sucked at the massage part. I would say 2 minutes top, which is unfortunate. Maybe the other ladies massage longer but I doubt it. Tough call, gentle mani/pedi, but no massage. Do I come back or not? I am really disappointed about the way I have been treated recently by miss nails. I went there one weekend trying to get a fill and they did not have the glitter color that I originally had on my nails since I got it done in tracy prior. I showed the man whom I asume is the manager the color and he basically kicked me out because they didn't have it and told me to go back to tracy to get it done there. which I found very offensive because they lack customer service and I think the man may be racist. I tired to give miss nails another try since they are pretty close to my school but when I walked in I was not acknowledged at all and they completly ignored me for 30min and they didn't even bother to ask what I wanted to get done. The first time I went to this nail shop a young nail tech gave me the best fill of my life. The nails lasted I loved everything she did. She took her time and really catered to everything I asked her to do. I recently went there on March 24th and I requested a full set and pedicure. They were busy, but the wait wasn't long at all. My pedicure sucked because it wasn't in the spa chair and I had to hold all the weight in my legs to keep from kicking the little lady out of the chair. I personally HATE these type of pedicures. On top of that they still charge $18 for a pedicure that isn't in the spa chair. The lady who did my pedicure didn't listen to anything I asked and did her own thing on my toes. The nail tech who did my nails did a HORRIBLE job! Today is April 4th mind you I went March 24th which is a little over a week and my nails look a HOT MESS!! The acrylic is lifting and the polish looks a mess. She did a HALF A** job on my acrylic set. She also cut me with one of the electric nail files. I paid $24 for a tacky full set. smh!! Great, affordable nail shop for the area. This past year this salon relocated across the street from their old spot. Thank goodness. The new shop is roomy and set up far nicer than the cramped old one. They have real spa units for their pedicures - rather than their old portable bucket tubs. They offer many designs and airbrushing .... all very affordable. Parking is not as much of an issue now either. The new location has a small parking lot. The first time I got my nails done here, I did not go back for over a month and did not have any breaks or cracks. Miss Nails gets a huge painted thumbs up from me. read more

The owner, Randy, is good when it comes to getting to know his clients and also remembering their names. Which shows that he cares! The staff is great, and all of them do great work. Pricing is very reasonable as well, and they offer a huge range of nail design art to choose from. If you're in the area, I highly suggest you try them out! Contrary to several reviews, service was prompt and fairly efficient. I got a pedi and immediately after finishing my pedi I received a full set. The one little facet of my experience in which I did not enjoy was the fact that I felt like my tail tech (the owner) was rushing with my paint job, and it's apparent! Additionally, the other nail tech that did my nails could've done a bit of a tighter job when cleaning the cuticles and ensuring there was no residual cuticles remaining. Very disappointing. I was looking forward to my appointment today. The owner said to bring in a picture of what I wanted because they can do it all. NOT TRUE. I choose an ombre 3 color style. They wanted to air brush instead of using the sponge. I just could not get them to understand what I wanted even with the picture. This was my second time being disappointed with them. A couple of the people here do nails very well. Randy, Diane, and Van are my favorite. They always do them perfect and make sure that the customer is satisfied. They do,however, get very busy sometimes so plan accordingly. The airbrush designs they have look good, but every time I get them they chip within the first week. I've learned pink and white with gel suites me just fine because it lasts for weeks and doesn't lift or break often. Plus, they always get my shape just right. read more

Bestttt nail place I've been to in a long time!!! $26 flat acrylic w/ airbrush or design!! This place has a small private parking lot. Not ghetto at all. All the ladies are so friendly! All these bougie girls I know tag themselves here, so I thought I would be in for a special treat. I got a gel mani, and the service was so-so. The lady was a bit rough, and the girl next to me also complained to her girl that she was being too rough. It was especially disappointing that the woman was in such a rush that she didn't even give me a massage. She walked away without a word and started someone new as soon as she set the dryer on the table. I understand though, shoot, I'm glad they even took me as a walk-in because it was pretty poppin' in there and it was only a weekday afternoon. Colors for gel are kind of limited, they are mostly sparkly bright ratchet colors. It lasts long though! I went exactly three weeks ago. I bite them constantly and all but two have resisted. Their parking lot is tiny, so you might have to find a spot on A Street or in the cuts around the corner. read more

The nail techs were not friendly and clearly don't want to be there. I came on a weekday around 4pm and although there was no one waiting, they seemed to be in a rush. I requested an acrylic fill with designs like I found in a picture, they immediately start talking to each other in a different language and don't seem like they want to do it, I suppose the First Lady couldn't do it so she passed me on to someone else. I asked for a coffin shape and when I got home I could see that she actually made the acrylic overlay more narrow than my nail and so my nail is exposed on the side, which caused my real nail to break and rip. The nails were also so sharp I could cut myself with them. I kept asking her to round them out, which she did but the end was left so blunt that a few days later, the polish is already gone from the tips. While the gold foil was being applied, the nail tech kept asking if it was okay - but it wasn't- it looked nothing like the picture; there was supposed to be full coverage and she left mine looking patchy. The only OK thing about it was that it was not that expensive but they hike up the price $10 for gel polish. read more

UPDATE: I have since returned to do my fill as promised in my initial review but unfortunately have made the decision to stop returning.. the first time I came I was obsessed with my nails only to have one break after only a week and while I was doing the most simple task ever, folding clothes at work and lightly tapped my nail on the table which I've done millions of times and have never had a nail break. Now pass forward to three weeks later I have this poppin new set I'm feeling cute with my sugar nails and then boom again only after a week another nail breaks just while washing dishes! I went to grab the sponge and I just felt it crack down the middle, I was so disappointed. I'm not sure if their not using expensive enough product or if their just making the nails too thin(which in my opinion isn't the case since the nails should look more natural) I just feel like you guys need to work on getting better acrylic powder cause obviously this one hasn't done it's job correctly the past two times. read more

PLEASE READ ! i scheduled an appointment at 5:30 for a full set & pedicure. When i arrived at 5:25 i told them i had an appointment at 5:30. All the workers were occupied & I couldn't be seen so i was told to take a seat. After being there for 30 minutes & having nothing done I complained that i needed to get started on my nails or toes b/c i had an appointment & had been waiting a long time. Finally a lady sat me in a pedicure chair & did a wonderful job BUT could not do gel ? So another lady (KIMMY) sat me in a nail char & she sat on the floor while trying to do my toes. They were SLOPPY , MESSY , & just all around horrible. I asked her when she started on the first toe & every toe after if she could clean them up (before dried with the UV) b/c she was just slapping on polish without care. She then threw her hands in the air saying "This is too hard, i can't do it". I asked if someone else would be able to do my toes & she said "no they don't have time , i'm going to take off" i said i dont want them off i just want it cleaned up & she said "no i'm taking off". As she proceeded to take off the gel polish, she CUT my toe really bad to where i drew back my foot & shouted ow ! Letting her know I didn't want her to take it off if she was going to cut me. She continued to take off the polish while CLEARLY talking about me to the boss (DIANE). As she was talking, diane kept looking up at me & the lady so i knew she was saying stuff about me. After the polish was off i said "someone has to do my toes b/c i came for toes & nails" to which she then spoke to someone in her language & said someone would do them. She said she would do my nails & when she started to put on the first nail it was so crooked like she didnt even care & i asked her to please fix it. She ranted in her language & then threw her hands up again & said she wasnt going to do my nails. LASTLY... Diane ended up doing my hands & feet...& understood my frustration.
