I came in here half an hour before I want it to go for my class at LA Fitness. All I wanted was to remove my no chip which usually only takes about 20 minutes and gives me enough time to be out of there to walk over to the gym. Unfortunately when I walked into this place I had asked them and a lady who I told I only want to remove my no chip responded to me okay pick your color. I clearly had told her I only want to remove it and don't want anything paint it on after. I sat there for about 10 minutes before I started getting fidgety and was then moved to a manicure station where I waited for another 5 minutes to be bounced between two people. Finally this one girl came who may not have been old enough to even do my nails. She was real nice but I don't know if she had the technical skill. Halfway through I asked her how long it would take and she said only about 10 minutes and I officially have walked out of there at 6:10 p.m. when I realize how late I was going to be I asked her to just do a cut down for me too. She then turn to one of the ladies who works there and asked her if I wanted them shaped too. From my understanding a cut and file kind of come together. She removed my no chip but left quite a texture still on my nails, proceeded to cut my nails too short, and then finished off by cutting my pinky nail so short it took some skin underneath with it. Not happy at all. Ended up having to skip my class and go to the beauty supply in the same Plaza to get a nail buffer and take care of the rest of it on my own. read more

I moved to the area so I decided to give this nail salon a chance. They have a great selection of colors. I read the reviews and people were saying how great they were so there I was on my way. I got there early I picked my color they sat me on the pedicure chair. Immediately she starts to wrap my finger nails with foil. she does my pedicure and my hands are still wrap in foil by the time she starts my manicure the Polish should come off easy right Nope it sat there to long that it got dried. I asked for squared nails they gave me a weird round square shape. Nails were cut crocked as if u had cut them my self. I had an air bubbles and instead of fixing she offer to put a glitter Polish over. I insisted she had to redo it so she did..I saw one customer leave because no one from the staff would acknowledge her standing by the front desk....extremely disappointed I will not be coming back read more

Sad to say.. another one bites the dust! I made a 12:00 appointment a week in advance for a simple no chip manicure.. I waited 30 minutes to be seated only to have to wait 15 minutes longer for what I have no clue. People were coming in after me and being waited on instantly which PISSED ME OFF! Me being the person I am.. left without a huge fuss.. no problem at all because I won't spend a dime where I'm not acknowledged.. SIMPLE. They lost a very faithful customer because I was there every 2 weeks faithfully but since were in phase 4 and they see dollar signs over acknowledging appointments.. My nails were done half hazardously. I asked specifically how much was the Dip manicure. She told me $40. I knew short tips would be $10. So that's $50. #1 When Don started he did not soak my nails off he used the drill the whole time to take off my No-Chip. #2 When he started doing my "manicure" he took out the tips. I said "what happened to the manicure"? He said "oh I was going to put on the tips and then do it". I said "no please do it before it". Did he put any cuticle softener on my nails? No! Did he put any oils? No! Did he file my nails down? No! #3 He proceeded to put on the tips and clipped them down without asking the length I wanted nor did he measure both of my hands. Then he started to file the sides down because I asked for "Coffin shape". He filed the left side but not the right. Two of my nails were so cocked to the side I asked him to do it over. He got an attitude throwing my hands around. #4 I told him I wanted my nails thin, he filed them down to the point he wanted it not the point I did. My nails are so big, which hate! I also asked for matte which he said would be $5 extra. Cool $55. #5 He finishes and tells me my finial cost is $70!!! What!? He gone tell me the lady that told me didn't know what she was talking about, and that it wasn't $40 to begin with. Then says it's $5 to shape my nails in the coffin shape!!! No nail place has EVER charged me to shape my nails. Even if so where did the extra $10 come from? So he put it down to $65. He had me give him $10 extra for no reason and with him doing half the job with an attitude! Learn CUSTOMER SERVICE! People use their hard earned money to get their nails down. Respect what how they want their nails done. ITS YOUR JOB! Thanks! I would never come back again! And I've been a reoccurring customer for 8 years! Recently, I went to Miss nails to get an acrylic full set with no chip polish and for starters the "nail tech" who did my nails didn't listen to my request of a thin layer of acrylic. This was the worst experience I've ever had! The pedicure was done by a guy that clearly had no experience. It was super short, they barely used any product, the massage was a joke and it would have been the fastest pedicure I had ever received if it had been finished. While the two tablespoons of paraffin wax was on my feet their pedicure bowls started flooding up from the sewers. We were then brought into another room to sit in a chair while everyone was running around pushing the sewer water to the back of the salon. My friend and I after a certain amount of time decided we were going to leave and come back in the morning when they got their shit together. They then followed us to the front where they MADE US PAY for our SERVICE THAT WAS NOT ONLY UNFINISHED but we still had the wax on our feet and mask on our legs!! This was such a joke! he spa service was THE WORST! I went for a brazilian wax and clearly the lady had not been trained. So many things went wrong... 1. Half way through the brazilian wax i knew something felt different... I looked and the lady doing the wax didn't have on gloves...YUCK! When I told her to put them on she only wanted to put on one glove.. smh 2. The technique that was used on me was what you use when waxing eyebrows. This was my third time being waxed so I wasn't fully confident in my knowledge of the procedures, but when checking with other friends and TRAINED waxers, I was informed that this was NOT the correct method of waxing. I was in pain and was on the table for an hour. After an hour I insisted that the lady stop with the waxing. I cried and felt extremely violated (no gloves). This was the WORST experience I have ever had at any salon/spa. Maybe they do good nails at MISS NAILS, but the spa services, specifically waxing is HORRIBLE. I use to visit Miss Nails since the day they opened with my friend and her mother. Although they do good work there, it not like what it use to be. Its always busy, they take walkins and you oftentimes wait 30-45 minutes on a busy day. No longer spacious, strong chemical smell throughout the place. Good people there of course. read more

My nail tech was very nice and gentle but my nails turned out awful. My pinky nail cracked the first day I had them. It has only been not even 2 weeks and all my nails have broken off. I don't do anything that would cause them to break that easily. I have had my nails done many times before and they've lasted for almost a month. I even played softball a week after getting my nails done. Therefore I wont be returning to this salon. $25 wasted, $30 with tip. I always come here for my eyebrows and occasionally nails , but today was a little different. I attempted to do my own eyebrows a while ago because I was in a rush to go somewhere and needed a touch up and after a couple of weeks they grew out hideous! I came here to get them waxed and a new woman actually did them. Her name was Mariana and she saved their life! My eyebrows haven't looked this nice in a while. They're so clean and perfectly shaped , and she really took the time to make sure they came out this way. Good quality service. I will be asking for her now when I get them done . I have been coming to this place for the past two years I would say. Just recently I have been keeping up with my fill ins and going every two-three weeks depending on my work schedule. This place is wonderful but for the past two times I've been there the ladies have overcharged in my opinion. The guys are actually way better than the ladies and definitely more friendlier. The gentleman have always charged me $20 for a fill in. The last two times it's been with two different ladies. The first one charged me $22 for a fill in. I just went in last week and the second charged me $23 and she was just not in the mood to do nails. I don't understand the language but anyone knows when someone is talking about you. She said something and then the lady next to her looked at my nails and replied back. My nails were not in bad shape whatsover bc I take care of my hands. I loved this place and Duke does the best pink and white but found out he is very temperamental. I couldn't make one appointment because I ended up in the ER and when I asked to make another appointment he told me to use someone else in the shop because he was on vacation. That was fine but the person that did them who did a good job but they were too long so I cut them down myself and Duke was pissed cuz he had to fix them. So Duke wouldn't do my nails anymore. I found this salon specifically because of the Yelp reviews. My husband was omitted to the nearby hospital for a few days so i decided to sneak away for a "quick" fill in. I was totally wrong about being quick. I waited over an hour and a half to be helped. It seemed that only certain people were designated to do fill-ins and others to do pedicures. It was frustrating to see people who walked in after me (way after me) and without an appointment get helped within 10 minutes. I was already frustrated. Once I sat down I showed the lady a picture of the simple design that I wanted and she said "no, I cant do it" immediately. I was like are you kidding me? I told the boy at the counter that this was the design I wanted and now after waiting this long you tell me no???? I also advised her that it was my first time here, so she went ahead and did the design anyways. She actually did a really good job! The owner's are always welcoming and willing to open the salon early and stay late for their customers. Janet's pink and white full sets are the best around. Known this place for a long time. Mostly very good. Been away for a while. Since I've been back I feel their talent has slipped. Once I got an old guy that seemed like a creepy uncle. Then I got an older woman who think I couldn't see and never was really trained how to perform a manicure. Plus I don't think she understood much English when I spoke to her. The service is well paced and the quality of the work is excellent. I have NEVER had to be taken care of and have always received exactly what I wanted. The owners are two of the nicest people I have met and run a tremendous business. I HIGHLY recommend that all of you visit this place. For years I have faithfully had a manicure every two weeks. I've tried other places in the area, but they aren't consistent, are unavailable or just don't do good work. Miss Nails always leaves me with a manicure that I am very happy with. It is always busy, but they do a great job of keeping your wait time low. I highly recommend them. Ok, given that this had three stars maybe it's shame on me but I was giving the benefit of the doubt. We're from out of town and wanted to have a pamper night lastnight. My sister and I go in here and there's a 45 min wait. That could be good, means they're popular. NOPE! Finally got done and they acted like they didn't know how to paint a French manicure for my sister and talked her in to a solid paint color after trying to push pink and white acrylics which were double the price and we declined. I got coffin shaped acrylics which looked ok at first but the more I've looked at them they look like slivers spiking off my finger tips..... fast forward to today...my sisters finger is swollen and red with red streaks running down her finger so currently she's at the ER having that seen about. And one of my nails have come off already. While we were there two different people were complaining about the quality of their nails and having them do it over and the workers were talking in their language back and fourth and laughing. SO BEWARE! Wouldn't ever want to go back. I would like my crap fixed but don't want them to touch me or my sister again for sure. What a way to throw a total of $70 in the fricking trash. read more
