It might have been pandemic related, but my last review needs a pleasant update to 4 stars! My last few sit down visits illuminated why Miss Saigon is THE place to enjoy a variety of Vietnamese specialties and EXCELLENT SERVICE. Honestly, had only tried items to go during pandemic (we relocated right b4 pandemic started) & had no clue how efficient and fast their servers and kitchen staff are. Wow! Been here a few times. It is always a busy place for good reason. I started with the hot tea. It was a bit cool (at least for Tucson), so it was nice to warm me up a bit. There were tea leaves in the tea poured into cup. Not a big deal for me, but I know there are others where that is a big deal. I started with the appetizer #2 (Goi Cuon/Spring Rolls) spring rolls with shrimp and pork. The peanut sauce is great. They cut the rolls in half making it easier to eat. For the main course, you can't go wrong with the Pho. I have several different versions here and all are great. This time I went with a large #24 (Pho Xe Lua). It has are tender beef slices, broiled beef slices, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. Note the large is quite a meal. The staff is quick, attentive, and helpful. I was by myself so the quick service was nice, you can only do FB for so long at a table without looking obsessed. I have had a bad experience at one of the other locations, but this one has alway been fantastic. read more

My husband and I came in the door and the long haired blonde asian lady at the front gave us a look and I knew. OK, we have eaten here a few times since moving back but lets see how this plays out.. We found our own seat and they brought menus, water and never came back. The group of four after us and the other group of 4 that came about 10 minutes after us were taken care of but no one came back to our table. My husband is black and I am white. I have been married to my husband for 15 yrs and this Has happened a few times in my presence.It is usually very obvious when it happens and we normally let it play out but this time we just left. I will never go to this establishment again due to this one occurrence. We have always enjoyed the food and even frequented the other location but I am just not putting up with this type of behavior in 2026. read more

I can't recall if this was the specific Miss Saigon I ate at but it doesn't really matter. This is pho done right. Having been to Vietnam plenty of times, I can say this is legit. I also tried the Bun Bo Hue, but this broth needed a little boost which is fixed by adding a bit of fish sauce. The egg rolls were also delicious and well presented. my first visit to Tucson and i seen how busy this place was at 9 pm! Second visit i made it a point to try. Recommendations for Phó and #2 appetizers did NOT disappoint. while i thought the peanut was a bit runny it still had a sweet flavor that fused well with the spring rolls. highly recommend you stop in. the patronage was busy the entire time i was there with families and students. will be going back for seconds and hope you all check them out for yourselves. read more

A return to Miss Saigon for a nice Vietnamese meal. We were greeted upon entering and told to sit where we liked. There is a small entry area with tables and chairs. There is also another separate room which most people choose to sit in. We followed suit. Glasses of water came shortly after seating. I decided to try a new dish. We ordered #33 & 43. #33 is shrimp and squid with rice noodle soup. #43 is grilled pork, egg rolls, carrots, green onions bun. My accoutrements arrived shortly for the soup; a plate of fresh basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, hoisin sauce and lime. The #43 arrived first and minutes later my dish arrived. It would have been better to have both dishes arrived simultaneously. Oh well. #43 was filled with grilled pork and well received as the bowl was empty when we left. My dish #33 was light and aromatic. I wasn't really sure why this was not called pho (noodle soup) because it looked and tasted very similar. Five shrimp and tender squid cooked in the hot broth. I brought those to the top of the bowl to stop the cooking. Both were tender and delicious with the hoisin sauce. Another tasty meal. The restaurant had filled up by the time we had finished. Having come from Phoenix I've noticed for some reason in Tucson majority of pho places have pho that is flavorless or very hit or miss. The egg rolls and drinks here are good however the pho is very underwhelming, it doest taste rich and flavorful compared to other pho places and I've noticed that's the same with other Tucson pho. Kinda surprised they're so busy but it's probably because they're Tucson natives and it's all they know. I went to the bathroom on one occasion and one of the male cooks walked out of the females restroom...which understandable because I noticed the men's was out of order. However when I walked in I was greeted by a toilet full with piss still in it and the toilet seat up...I honestly wouldn't even be surprised if he didn't wash his hands either. Always a yummy treat. I have been a patron of Miss Saigon now for quite a few years and it just keeps on giving some good grub. I just wish they had a larger nicer restaurant in town. I ordered pho for takeout, but pho is never good as takeout. So I decided to dine in! When I went, I ordered bun bo hue. And I was disappointed. The broth wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping it would be and the vermicelli noodles were all stuck together in a clump, so I couldn't really eat it properly. The noodles that weren't stuck looked like they were cut with scissors and it wasn't very satisfying to scoop them up with the spoon. I felt like the meat variety was also very lacking. I didn't get any pork blood or tendon. Service was good! I have nothing to complain about because everything came out super quickly and our server was very kind. Overall, it was just OK. read more

Not the best or most authentic. But I didnt expect that much. Everyone that had the pho thought the first sip of broth was great but by the second or third sip it slowly died out and did not really matter. We love Pho, and we like to try different Vietnamese restaurant even when we were in California. I found this place and it's located close to the University of Arizona. I imagine this place is always busy during school days. And it caters to a younger crowd. The place is clean and really simple. You won't find any condiments on the table. They will bring pre-packed condiments, along with your food. Service is fast,and servers are attentive. We tried different soups,so we can compare. My husband liked his Hot Beef Soup and I ordered Beef Pho. Also tried the Spring rolls and we loved it,I liked the peanut sauce. They also offer the usual Thai coffee and tea,selection. Miss Saigon, on Campbell, while very unassuming is full of flavor. We visited during a bustling dinner rush right before a U of A basketball game (it's easy walking distance to the court). We were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly. Considering the rush crowd, our dinners came out very timely. As you can see by other yelpers' pics, this restaurant has simple décor and table settings. But we liked the food. We started with the $4 Vietnamese Fried Egg Rolls. As you can see in my pic, this was fairly straight-forward. The egg rolls were definitely deep fried and had the expected meat flavor. What made this appetizer was using the lettuce leaf wrap and the dunking sauce. There was something about the fried meat, offset by the crisp, fresh lettuce, the softness of the rice noodles and the uniqueness of the dipping sauce, all worked spectacularly well together. See my pic on lettuce wrap of a fried egg roll - not too many of these around. The #34 Egg Noodle Soup comes out piping hot (the steam is there, even if you can't see it in my pic). The broth is savory and the vegetables were still crisp. The noodles soaked up the broth flavors, and still held together and weren't mushy. The #53 Beef Fillet Cubes with Vegetables was, again, straight-forward. The beef cubes were savory, slightly salty and were still soft to the bite. The grilled onions weren't over powering with the beef cubes, and paired well. The rice's mild flavor held up well, and complimented, the hearty beef flavor. The parking was on the east side of the building, and there was ample parking. read more

Best Pho ever! As my 10 year old daughter said. She is quite picky. #21 can't be beat as well as the shrimp rolls. We split the Pho and it was definitely enough. You get a plate of basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and hoisin/pepper sauce to spice it up or make it more bold. The boba is also very good. We got Taro flavor. We stopped in here for a late lunch on a Monday, after a walk along The Loop. We sat down and ate in. Our service was prompt and friendly and the food came out rather quickly. I ordered #63, Chicken Lo Mein and my friend ordered #55, charbroiled chicken breast with coconut curry sauce. Portions were ample and tasty. We ate it all, it was so good and we were hungry. My friend ate with chop sticks. The restaurant has moved the tables further apart, piling up unused tables and chairs by the front window. This keeps the business in compliance with covid rules. The only negative about this location is the parking. Parking is in the rear and it fills up fast with cars for other nearby businesses. There is some outside dining but that is for take-out only. The spring rolls weee soggy, the peanut sauce was cold not hot like it should be and the pho broth was literally cool. The imitation crab was smelly and there was only two shrimp in my pho.
