The menu has been updated since the last time I was in.

Think it's the first time coming in during their first hour of business and they have a steady flow coming and going. Amazing service from (I forget to catch her name) the cashier. She is fast, efficient, and straight up awesome! *claps* Hopefully she is proud of the work she does because I love it. The owner in the kitchen with his crew. *claps w/chefs kiss* Very efficient flow in the kitchen. They crank out orders in no time! 5 MIN! Just looked at my receipt time and the time of the duck picture. That's how cohesive their team is at getting orders out. Chatted with the owner a bit as I decided on hot sauce for my corn and noticed the duck. Very charismatic guy; he got the duck locally 3D printed and got other ducks personalized for each of the crew. You can really tell he cares about his business and in this day and age that is a treasure!! Great vibes all around! Definitely a community place.

Staff is always very friendly and the restaurant is always clean. The BBQ is always on point and consistently good old amazing Texas BBQ. The brisket is so tender, full of flavor, and the ribs are always tender, fall of the bone type mmm mmm mmm. I really like the Mac & Cheese and it's always prepared on the spot (cooked to order) and I love that it has a little spice kick in it. The turkey breast was a really nice surprise for me and I could not believe how moist and just simply GOOD it was. This place is definitely working on establishing a place for itself in the list of BBQ restaurants of Omaha.

Spectacular!! We lived in Texas and this feels like the real deal. We got their specials and they were delicious. Pictured: Cookie Butter and Grape Jelly Brisket Sandwich & Brisket and Pork tacos

We returned!! My husband ordered the two meat plate, brisket and brisket burnt end link(he said they cook pieces of burnt ends right in the link!), man n cheese and zesty slaw. Served with two sauces. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with the tomato cucumber salad. The salad was nice and fresh. The sandwich was delicious, next time I'm going to ask for a couple jalapeños on top. We asked about the ribs and they gave us one to try. Believe me on our next trip we will be trying it!! The place is very well decorated. People are friendly, can't beat the atmosphere. We will be back... probably next week lol

Hands down the best BBQ in the Omaha area

Without a doubt the BEST BBQ in the Omaha area! True Texas style- the brisket is falling apart tender with TONs of flavor! The Turkey made me a believer in eating turkey again! Don't short yourself and skip the burnt end sausage... it's wonderful! The cole slaw is flavorful and has a crunch! The Mexican corn is excellent! Get there early b/c they smoke fresh everyday and have the potential of running out! Warning: it's so AMAZING that you won't be able to eat run of the mill BBQ again b/c this will become your GOLD STANDARD!

I had to try the turkey . I have not seen any recommendations on any other restaurant page where people rave about turkey. Enter Mission Ave BBQ and how seemingly every other post mentions turkey. Let me tell you I was not disappointed, juicy, seasoned and oh so delicious. Was the star of the plate. The burnt ends were delicious and the Mac and cheese, a show stopper. Had to have my staple side from there, Mexican street corn. My tummy is happy and full of goodness.

Great little BBQ place. Food was excellent -- especially the brisket. Service was friendly and helpful. Pit Master came out and chatted with us, too. Nice variety of sides. Not fancy.

    Brisket sandwich. Mexican street corn.

Would definitely go back. Very good brisket sandwich. Mexican street corn is amazing. Texas style for sure. Lots of pepper!!

Run out of food and customer service is not good. Food, when you can get it is pretty good.

I didn't think you could mess up a bean and cheese burrito. Turns out, if you put a hug gob of cold cheese in the middle of it to the point it makes the beans cold and essentially leaves you eating cold shredded cheese with a bean sauce on the side, you can in fact mess up a bean and cheese burrito. Twice I've ordered lengua tacos and been given steak instead. If the steak wasn't pure gristle, I likely would not have been as sad about this as I was. The last time this happened they didn't give me any radish either. I'm hoping that doesn't mean they will stop giving radish with the street tacos as I do like that flavor combination. Lastly, they frequently give me random drinks rather than the pina drink. It was understandable when they gave me a pineapple Jaritto. But I was really confused when they gave what I think was Jicama. I am not a native Spanish speaker. The language barrier is very much a factor in the issues I've had. My interactions with staff have been standard for fast food service. No one outright rude but clearly they are trying to get through the shift. I'm not faulting them. I've been there. I'm not sure why anyone would go here for how it looks. Unless semi grimy drive through is your jam. Overall, I'll probably be back because there currently isn't a better option close by. If that were to change, I would likely take my business elsewhere.

The service was fantastic, and it felt like a true family restaurant. The chips were so good, and the salsa was spicy but not too much for people with sensitive palates. I love this style of chips, not a thin restaurant style but a thicker, more savory bite. We went through one portion before our food got to us and they brought more out when I asked. I highly recommend the tacos. I made a mistake and asked for birria not quesabirria tacos, so make sure to specify that if you want quesabirria (with cheese). But, the birria was good anyways! I also got the taco macho (see the pic for what's inside), and wish I would've ordered 2 of those! My husband got the huitlacoche and squash blossom tacos and they were both so good. I was so impressed they had huitlacoche as an option, I've never seen that before! The drinks were ordered and delivered from the server, but she said since they're working on a liquor license they have a bar next door that makes them. If you order a drink with your food, they charge for the drinks and food separate for that reason. I liked my jalapeño margarita! My husband got a cantarito and said it's the best one he's had from all the places we've tried to far!

The streetcar boondoggle is not affecting their block so parking is available. Decor is calming. I did not opt for an adult beverage as they were a bit pricey and I needed to retain focus. Settled on chicken enchiladas. Very tasty with some kick. The cheese was drizzled on top rather than baked through. Service was exceptionally friendly, I suspect from the bartender/proprietor. Would definitely return if in the area, but for now I am generally avoiding streetcar construction chaos. If you are downtown anyway, go.
