This newly opened restaurant has left me satisfied as a customer. I the lady in the register explained to us how the menu works and the most popular dishes. The when we picked up the food, the other person at the counter asked if this was our first time. He continued explaining how the meats were cooked and showed the smoker where they are smoked. In regards with the food, I had the brisket, which was juicy and had a good flavor. I had the Mac and cheese as the side and was very good, too with a crunchy topping. All meats come with cornbread. I grew up in Kansas City metro area with a back drop of the American Royal BBQ competition and the great BBQ institutions of Gates and Sons, Jack Stack and the like. As a result, I almost universally hate BBQ restaurants outside there and North Carolina. In fact, we just stopped going and started perfecting our own recipes at home. That said, we have this place a shot on a whim. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I've never tasted BBQ at a restaurant that reminded me so much of home. The Texas style brisket was tender and flavorful. May only criticism is that both the lean and moist cuts were a tad on the dry side. The KC sauce was spot on and fixed it up just right. The pulled pork with vinegar wash would satisfy even the pickiest NC style BBQ affectionado. Ribs were meaty and tender. And better yet, this place gives back to those that serve and protect us. Absolutely Delicious! Walked in at around 8:30pm (9pm closing) and staff was still quick and friendly. I went with 12 spare ribs and considering the hour I figured probably some dry ribs. But no sir these were fall of the bone juicy ribs. My side of coleslaw and cornbread were a great compliment. The ambiance and cleanliness were also on point. They cleared all 4 stars with ease. The loss of a star is considering it's a "fast food" place the pricing is similar to that of a restaurant. I spent $32 on my meal. This place is amazing. I first learned about mission BBQ at an old duty station. And i loved the food so i was excited to see them come closer to south Florida. They do a lot of things in conjunction with the military. I went in and the atmosphere is amazing, the place is clean, well managed and the people who work there are all extremely kind. The woman who called us up to get out order was attentive and cared to ask me how my day was and we spoke about how I learned about mission bbq. The food was amazing to say the least, I got the brisket and my girlfriend got the pulled pork. You really can't go wrong with any choice, everything is mouth watering.Towards the end of our meal they came out with a tray that said thank you for your service and 2 cookies, this was unknown to me but really it was the cherry on the proverbial icing of this grade A restaurant. read more

I loveeee Bbq but a big part of Bbq is hospitality and this place sucks for that. I wasn't greeted by the girl behind the cash register, she rushed me while I was placing the order even though I was the only person there and I would ask her to explain a menu item for her to not know and continue to rush me to finish. All that rushing and rude service and I have to now go back up there and deal with Ms.Nasty because she messed up ughhh. Really really good barbecue. I've only tried the pork and brisket and I get the moist brisket. It's about $11 for brisket a side and cornbread with a drink. Which is a pretty good price. I always get the cheesy potatoes and they're dankkkk. I always want to get 2 of them but they can't be great for you so I stick to one. But they're are very very good I get it everytime. The moist brisket is crisp on the outside and very juicy and tender on the inside. Portions are solid I always leave here very full. Staff is impeccable. Everyone has a smile on their face and there is always employees walking around the restaurant asking how our meal is and how your day is. I always leave with a smile on my face because I'm happy, I'm full and my pockets aren't hurting. My go to spot for quick affordable barbecue on my lunch break. This place is one of my family's favorite bbq restaurants. We don't even mind the long drive to go eat here. They stand for a great cause and their food is always delicious. The brisket is our family's favorite and it is always cooked to perfection. The service is top notch. If you haven't been there before they will explain everything from their restaurant's mission (proudly serving those who serve) to what they offer and how to order. Last time we went the employees were even going around table to table offering to get the customers their refills for them and picking up empty trays. They also had a nice moment where they had the whole restaurant honor a veteran who was eating dinner there that day. I thought it was special that they gave him that recognition.
