I love brisket and Mission BBQ is the best place for Texas-style brisket in Weston. Although we can't dine in, ordering over the phone and curbside pickup is a cinch here! Recently, I was running errands and called. The young man whose name I unfortunately can't remember, was superb in not only taking my order and credit card information, but when he came to my car, he was PPE-compliant, and super nice. He remembered to put my honey butter for the baked sweet potato on the side, gave me extra napkins, and didn't forget my drink. Oh and their brownie was warm and delicious. OH SO DELICIOUS! The smell was so good that I didn't even get to take a a picture. Online ordering was pretty easy, and my husband picked up the food. He said that the staff was super courteous and friendly, and were happy to help recommend different sauces. I just finished my lean brisket sandwich and it was just as delicious as always. The fries were good too. I did heat up the food because it is a little bit of a drive to my house. The food holds up well and is still delicious at home. They have lots of barbeque sauces to choose from in each category, sweet, smoky and traditional. Absolutely Fantastic Place for BBQ To be completely honest we were just looking to just get a beer and maybe an appetizer and call it dinner but all of the ideas we came up with didn't seem interesting. I mean, most places with good beer have average food and good food places have average beer so we picked great food and luckily got great beer too. They have two different Veza Sur beers on tap and the mango blonde is wonderful. The staff here is great. Even though this is a BBQ place where you order your food and carry it yourself to the table we had three different staff members come by and check on us. And boy was there NO lack of flavor. I am a big fan of sauced meat and the chopped brisket was flavored to perfection. Didn't need any additional sauce in any way. This place is a sad excuse of what BBQ should be. I ordered the 3 plater meat and Mac n cheese...right off the bat I could tell this wasn't going to be any good. Upon opening the box the brisket had a really weird smell of what bbq should not smell like, it was over cooked and hard as a rock. The chicken and pulled pork weren't fresh either. It's funny how I can't find one decent bbq place here in Florida to match other great ones like in Texas. As for the food, the portion seemed a bit small but very good. I had a three meat sampler, turkey, brisket, and jalapeno and cheese sausage with corn bread and double collard greens. The turkey was flavorful and moist. The brisket was lean and so tender. And the sausage had exelent flavor and had a bit of a kick. The sides. The corn bread was nice and moist. The collard greens seemed like they cane from a can, but were prepared very well. They were s bit spicy and tasted great. Fresh green would have made them even better. Review update 12/18/19 This update has been a long time coming as I have patronized Mission a few times since my initial review. Food here while not truly the best Barbeque in the area it's about the only close one to me located in West Davie. I have upgraded Mission to 3 stars as my last few visits have been pleasurable and the food has been OK. First off, let me say that I NEVER crave BBQ. It is just not one of those things that I am the biggest fan off, but for some reason, my GF and I wanted to go here. The place was jam packed on a Sunday around 330-4. We ordered a combo meal and waited for them to call us. I got pulled chicken with green beans and mac n cheese. The chicken was ok, but what really made it were the sauces at the table. I like the memphis style one the best. The green beans were a tad salty, but since my family is from the south, I know it is because of the bacon or ham that they put in there. The mac and cheese was ok, I have had better. It was not a creamy as I would have liked it to be and I don't like bread crumbs on it. My GF got brisket with mac and cheese and cole slaw. She enjoyed hers and also said what made it was the sauce, her favorite was the Smokey Mntn one. Not a bad deal for a combo meal.
