My friend was very excited to go to this place that she had to recommend it to me and I had to check it out. She take her parents every time they come into town, it's a must have for them. I witness the baby back ribs and had the pulled pork and Cornbread myself and it was amazing. Their sauces are delish especially the "Smoky mountain." I had the pulled pork , slaw& corn bread. The meat portion was good, the meat moist. You can select the flavor bbq of choice. I did not find the cornbread to taste at all like cornbread but maybe corn cake. The coleslaw was ok. The staff friendly and atmosphere military memorabilia, loved the collection and of course love supporting any business with a mission. This place is a thumbs up! Phenomenal quick service, always packed, and the line still flows quickly. I've had their pulled pork (my favorite), jalapeno sausage, brisket, and burnt ends. Overall great bbq, smoked, and never dry. My favorite sides are the green beans and bacon, baked beans, and the cheesy mash potatoes! I've tried the mac and cheese twice, and both times it was missing salt/flavor. Oh, and you ALWAYS get a delicious slice of cornbread. I think every month (I could be wrong) they change their cobbler. If you come to Mission and you DONT get their cobbler, you're missing out. Peach and blueberry are the best! I am not a fan of BBQ but my daughters love it. Tonight I let them grab takeout and I decided to order the salmon. IT IS THE BEST SALMON EVER! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! Great baked beans too! I love fish especially salmon and I am so happy I tried it tonight! I really enjoyed the BBQ and sides at mission BBQ. It isn't the best I have had (being from Texas..) but still very good! I tried their sausage and brisket, as well as several sides. My favorite parts were the sausage..Both the original and jalapeño and cheddar were excellent, and the Mac and cheese was great. I also liked their coleslaw and green beans. The best sauces were the Kansas City one and the Texas one. The brisket was good, but could be more moist. It was a bit too dry for me but I would order again! Overall, a great experience. We came for a BBQ dinner and left with that plus an experience we've been talking about since. The young lady at the register saw we weren't familiar with the menu, or "how to order." So, she didn't ask, just took it upon herself to explain. How refreshing! And we learned just after making our good new friend she's only worked at Mission a couple of months. This BBQ establishment is well oiled machine. My whole experience there left me with the impression that the management team is top notch! From being greeted warmly upon entering, to the helpful staff member at the register, from the perfectly arranged condiments in the metal toolbox (so cool), to the spotless tables in the dining room. Everything was precisely geared toward great customer service. Very impressive. The restaurant is an "order at counter, pick up your food when your name is called" kind of place, but there is a sense of immense organization. The wait for your food is minimal, and the meal served is nice and hot. I ordered the brisket sandwich, which came with the meat shredded and mixed with their BBQ sauce. I made my meal an "XL" which means you can pick a side and get a fountain drink. I went with a side of french fries, which were really good. In fact, I liked the fries even more than my sandwich which was a little surprising, since meat is their specialty here. All in all, I found their BBQ sauce way too plentiful and sugary, which made the sandwich cloyingly sweet. I found myself wishing for more bread to balance out the sweet meat. Since I did throughly enjoy my experience there in spite of my less than stellar brisket sandwich, I'm planning to return again soon and ordering something else from the menu. It was our first time here. You have to order at the register and then they call you. The lady at the register looked as lost as we were. We were asking her about the sides and the way she was acting we almost left. None of the plates come with sides everything is separate way too expensive and definitely not the best ribs I've had. I had the pleasure of visiting Mission BBQ this weekend with some family after they asked me if I was in the mood for "juicy BBQ". I must saw as a huge supporter of law enforcement and our armed troops, I was a huge fan of their concept and the fact that it was founded by Troops. The inside is full of tributes to our armed forces and it has a really cool pit BBQ feel. We got there almost at closing time and they still greeted us with the utmost enthusiasm. I was welcomed to the restaurant and asked if it was my first time there and when I said it was, I was told to thank my family for bringing me. Simply such a polite service. I did not go to the restaurant and eat so perhaps this review is slightly askew. We brought in a large amount for a family dinner and overall we were very satisfied. The macaroni and cheese was to die for. The barbecue sauces all had great and unique flavors. We got chicken and it was juicy and of good quality. The problem lied in the cornbread and the brisket. The brisket was dry as a bone and extremely fatty, which is an odd combination. The cornbread was also extremely dry. As I stated before, we did bring this in and did not eat at the restaurant so perhaps it would've been a different experience had we eaten it there. My wife, son and I just went in for the first time. The place is decorated beautifully and the service was fenomenal. We had brisket sandwiches along with the baked beans which were awesome! Tony the owner came in personally to see how we were doing. What a wonderful guy!! I highly recommend the place and will surely go back.
