This place is by far THE BEST MISSION ! I love Mission BBQ I live in Towson and I love that one as well ,however my son has started college and I stopped here . The first time my chicken wasn't completely to standard. I called Spoke with the manager Tony . He advised when we would be in and that he would replace my meal and apologized for the issue that I experienced. Extremely nice professional and overall great to speak with . I had to bring somethings up to my son and I stopped in Tony was there . He gave me the best meal I have ever experienced from Mission on this day while apologizing again for my previous experience. I had Mission BBQ at a catered luncheon in Baltimore City and got hooked on the pork (even though I hate pork!). Plus, I have celiacs and it's gluten free, so this was a major win. The luncheon also had sausage and other meats which were okay, but the pork shined through! The next week, I notice this Mission BBQ. Excited to have some delicious pork, I stopped in. I ordered the pork and sausage (hoping maybe this one had better sausage. Nope. And even worse than the sausage, my delicious pork was dry like cardboard and lacked any flavor but a strange, faint spice. They seasoned only the skin and not really the meat itself. Once breaking the meat apart I noticed the meat was evenly pink all over, not sure if it was undercooked or what but not something I enjoyed. The skin wasn't crispy in the least but rather soggy. Granted the barbecue was good. Unfortunately they served my son a chunk of that rather than a chunk of meat I asked him to return it and he refused. I guess he didn't want to make waves. But yet the server should've seen it before she put it on his plate! I don't understand why they don't train their people to be careful not serve Too many pieces of rib fat and bone. By the way, the next time or better the last time I visited this restaurant we only had sweet tasting barbecue sauce to go with the ribs. Unfortunately, some of my ribs were dry and burned chard There is no dry rub ribs on the menu. For me, it is not enough to say that if this is veteran owned. The food still has to be spectacular tasty and it's something I cannot cook at home; otherwise I don't go out.My final comment, is to say that relatively compared to other rib places they were expensive in this restaurant that They make you go through a line and pay for your ribs and you go to a table with a number plaque and somebody comes out with your order. Overall, I was not happy with my meal since my sons meal was almost done existing considering that they were chunks of fat on his plate. This is a correction to the review I posted 3 days go. I wanted all stars and a comment. Last week I was on the east coast, Jersey and Maryland. I went to Mission BBQ and first and foremost as a retired Marine, my heart was full! They left no one out. The food was AMAZING! My only problem is that I couldn't give the staff a tip. That I didn't like! They were all working hard and were genuinely hospitable! I look for a tip jar and there wasn't one and I told the manager for the day to tell the owner(s) that there should be a tip jar! Can't wait to return in August! read more

I coordinate pre-game meals for the Arundel High School Marching Band and one of the meals this season was to be catered by Mission BBQ. I was really pleased with the response I had received from catering. They even donated 5 qts of coleslaw and 5 dozen rolls because our budget is so tight. I confirmed our order for our Friday 9/22 delivery on 9/20 and everything was set. And then our delivery didn't show up on time. And then it was late. So I called catering and they said it would arrive "shortly". When I inquired as to what shortly meant, I was told 45 minutes to an hour. Unacceptable!!!! What's also upsetting is that no one called me to tell me it was going to be late. Usually when you have a set time for a catering delivery, that's because you have a set time to eat. The band was about to walk in hot, sweaty, and hungry from two hours of after school practice and have no food! They only have a limited amount of time to eat before they have to get back out and perform during the game, so waiting another hour was not possible. The catering coordinator got on the phone with Ryan Eversman, the manager at the Waugh Chapel Towne Center location, to try to arrange something. But we called too. Ryan was AWESOME. We explained what happened, what we ordered, and we begged him to help us. And help us he did. He said it would be ready in 15 minutes and he even managed to get an employee, Alex, to deliver it to us. And then he refused to take our money, he was just glad he helped. We are forever grateful to Ryan and his team for coming through. Hungry teenagers are no fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Ryan & his team. read more

Food is good, but management does not enforce requirement for patrons to wear a mask covering their mouth and nose. I went to the Mission BBQ in Gambrills and encountered a customer who wore his mask below his chin. I asked him to pull his mask up and he pulled it over his mouth, but not his nose. I asked the manager to enforce the requirement for customers to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth. The manager asked the customer to comply, but the customer refused. The Manager then went about filling orders as usual. The manager, Lee, did not advise the customer that he would need to leave if he refused to comply. If Mission BBQ's management will not enforce public health requirements, then I certainly will not endanger my health by patronizing Mission BBQ further. read more

I love the food here. Great prices, best pork, chicken, and fries in town. Your choice of sauces. The staff is extremely friendly and they support service personnel and first responders. I love their coffee infused steak when they have it, their smoked chicken and the sumertime lemonade. My family loves choosing different sodas and sides. When my sister-in-law and her daughter-in-law and their two kids came up we took them for dinner there. There were eight of us all together. it cost $30 just for the 4 of us to eat fast food, here we got 8 dinners, drinks and dessert for only $75. Love this place. I ordered quickly and was out the door within 5 minutes! I ordered 4 meals. I love how they don't just hand you a bag of food. They open up all of the meals so you can make sure your order is correct! They were helpful with selecting sauces! The secret sauce is Alabama white! It goes great with their chicken and turkey! Parking is ample, there is plenty of seating inside and even some outside for folks like me who prefer to bake in the sun and fight off armies of small insects while spilling sauce all over their shirts and yeah well you get the point.. This visit, had the pulled pork, sausage, moist brisket (is there really any other way), mac & cheese, and corn bread. I think the only let down is the corn bread. Otherwise for a chain BBQ experience you can't go wrong. I think prices could ease a little vs portion sizes but I still pay.. Once thing I love about their dine in is the selection of different sauces at the tables. All in all there are 6 to choose from. Bay Bay Cue is my favorite, if you're into Old Bay try it! If you're not, try it anyway damn it! Cause I said so! That's why! Otherwise I like the KC and Memphis bottles. The atmosphere was great with the music volume down low. Even though the place was filled to capacity, there wasn't a lot of excess noise like you usually find in these open ceiling establishments. The only negative is that the bathrooms are for one person only so if someone is in there, you have to wait. A place this big should definitely have bathrooms with two stalls. My husband and I decided to order take out for the first time since we've been under stay at home orders. Let me tell you it was a BIG mistake!!! We eaten here before and loved the food. It was always fresh, hot and steamy. Last night it was absolutely horrible!!!! Nothing tasted fresh and everything had a stale refrigerator taste to it. The green beans were soggy and greasy. The bread on the sandwiches was hard and stale. The Mac and cheese was clumpy and not creamy at all. The chicken was waaaaay over salted. It was so hard to eat. My husband is allergic to consuming pork. He's eaten here before plenty of times with no issues. Last night he had a severe allergic reaction upon eating the salmon and got violently ill. I'm not sure if this location is cutting corners trying to save on food and being lax on cross contamination but it sure tastes like it. Very disappointed.
