Very cool place, lots of neat decor and I loved their ordering system. It's very similar to Panera, you order, find a seat and wait for your name to be called. It made the whole dining process so much quicker and easier. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and loaded with tender, flavorful meat. It was a tiny bit on the dryer side but the tables have 6 different types of bbq sauces that pair with any kind of meat you get. They were all really good and there's no doubt you'll find one that you like. I also got the cheesy potatoes as a side and those were delicious. They are loaded with cheese and I'm not sure what else, but they were super creamy and I could have probably eaten a bucket of them. My fiancé loved his pulled pork sandwich too but his fries came out a little cold. Either way we will definitely be back next time we are in town and craving bbq. read more

I was worried from previous reviews that portion sizes would be small, but this was not an issue. The food was the perfect portion, and holy cow it was good. This is definitely a fast food type of barbecue joint. A large group of us came in, ordered, and had our food within 5 minutes. We all had such good food, the ribs were delicious, and I wish I could buy alllll the jalapeño cheddar sausage. I know this is a chain, but I think it out bbq'd other local bbq joints. Ordered a 3 meat sampler - pulled chicken, brisket and sausage, plus cole slaw, green beans and bacon, and a piece of corn bread. Brisket was dried out, like eating cardboard. Had two and tossed the rest. They should have tossed the brisket by dinner time as it was really dry and in planks like eating jerky. Pulled chicken was good especially with the Memphis sweet sauce. Stopped in to grab a family meal to go. The staff seem very friendly and customer service oriented. They have a huge smoker inside behind the counter. This is a fast casual BBQ spot. It was really really good. Mac n cheese tasty. Coleslaw and fries really good. We got the special smoked strip steak which was nice, but some real silverware would've helped. Baked beans were delicious but reason for 4 not 5 stars is that the beans weren't on the menu but they had them. Everything is made or sliced fresh and it shows. The brisket was delicious and I opted for the lean cut and not the moist cut and it was exactly as i like it. My bf and I visited Mission BBQ for a quick dinner on a weeknight. The space is larger than we thought with many booths and tables to choose from. You order at the counter and they call out your order when ready. You can sample each type of meat also to see if you like before you order (very nice idea). The staff is very nice and explained everything well. We both got the 3 meat sampler platter. Between the both of us we got to try every meat on the menu, the fries and the sweet potato mash. The brisket was super soft and tender and really fatty. I highly recommend. The pulled pork was soft but not mushy. Some times pulled pork tends to turn to mush but this one retained its texture. The turkey was dry. I do not recommend. The pulled chicken had a ton of flavor packed into it but this meat could also get a little dry. The sausage was pretty good but nothing too memorable in terms of flavor. The meats were overall a little on the too salty side for my taste but I understand they try to pack a lot of flavor in. The fries were pretty average. The sweet potato mash was definitely a great side to get, it was however a bit too sweet. I also appreciated the corn bread. I think my favorite part was trying all the sauces at the table. They had a great variety, from smoky to spicy and sweet sauces!! Try them all! I got takeout today and was happy with the meats. The pulled pork and chicken were both very good as were the baby bac ribs. Their bbq sauce is tasty with a bit of a kick. However the sides were less impressive. The cheese potatoes were ok but the Mac and cheese had less flavor than Kraft Mac and cheese. Just bland. Their apple Cobbler was good. This is an update. I'm now convinced that my first trip was an off night for the restaurant, and I'm glad I went back. I had almost the same thing. I doused the pulled pork in the Carolina vinegar sauce as advised by a friend, and it was killer. The sausage was even better than before, the brisket was actually moist, and the ribs were tender and tasty. The sides, as before, are off the heazy. Baked beans, green beans, coleslaw, and potato salad were all top notch. The slaw was how I like it, not soupy but not dry. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not a chain guy. My friend and I stopped in last night Sunday around 4:00, place was steady but not jammed. It's like Panera's in that you order at the counter, however here they shout out your name and you pick it up when ready. Menu is varied, something for everyone, and priced right. I had the pulled pork combo with green beans, and cheesy tots, my friend had the brisket with green beans, and side salad. Sauces are on the table which is great so you can pick from many different types, I think I tried all six, was fun! Place was noisy, obviously with all the name shouting, lol so will probably do take out next time as it was hard to have a conversation. The BBQ was pretty good for what it was - I especially liked the brisket. House made dry rub. Pulled chicken was OK. On every table, there were six sauce offerings and NC style vinegar. My husband and I had fun sampling all the sauces! My favorites were the Tupelo Honey Heat and the Smokey Mountains. Added bonus for the atmosphere of the place. As the daughter of a retired New York State Trooper and the wife of a firefighter, it was nice to see all the memorabilia of first responders and servicemen/women. I would encourage veterans to stay away from this establishment on Jefferson road. The way they treated the local VFW and their quest to distribute poppies during the Veterans day holiday was deplorable. There are attendants in the dining area, and ours, Paul, was super friendly and attentive! He brought around samples which were delicious, and totally got me thinking about what I would order next time! My daughter and I shared a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries and it was absolutely delicious! The roll is definitely softer and buttery, but it's my style so I enjoyed it. They have a variety of different sauces, and I liked the smokier one best. The french fries were crispy and not over salted.
