Such an excellent experience for BBQ! As a true Southerner, I didn't have much expectation, but wow did they prove me wrong! The pulled pork and "moist" brisket is mouth watering. The mac and cheese reminded me of a church potluck (that's a good thing), and the green beans and baked beans were great. Probably the best "sweet tea" you'll find in Maryland. I'll be back. This is the 2nd time we have been to this location and they did not disappoint. Our first visit was on Father's Day and they made it very special for my husband. They treated him like royalty and even gave him a free dessert. After our meal we got our picture taken with their big truck outside. They were doing this as a special Father's Day thing. Our visit today wasn't on any special holiday but we still got star treatment, as did every other customer. The food was ready pretty quick and immediately upon seeing us start eating, one of the dining room attendants came over to ask if everything was good. I think it was Rachel and Erica who were going around checking on everyone. One of them even brought us free chicken samples. My 13 year old was glad to point out to us that all the other dine in restaurants we've gone to lately have either told us or had signs saying they were short staffed. But not at Mission BBQ. They were fully staffed (as far as we could tell) and everyone was diligently working. He thinks that's because the people who would take a job at Mission BBQ are hard workers. I tend to agree. Mission BBQ has a reputation for great service. We have been to several locations and have always walked out with our expectations being surpassed. Even though my son and I aren't huge fans of BBQ we will always enjoy our visits to Mission. In fact, we have already made plans to checkout a different location next weekend. read more

I haven't been to a Mission BBQ since 2020 when I last worked in Maryland. I'm from Texas and back on the east coast for work, and I needed some BBQ. It's pretty good BBQ and satisfied my BBQ craving. I got the brisket, fries and Mac and cheese, they we're all good. I love their military and first responder theme. My husband and I used a gift card to this restaurant tonight. He had the three meat sampler with moist brisket, pulled pork, and classic sausage and came with a piece of cornbread and I had the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of baked beans. The customer service was efficient and super friendly. The food however was ok. The brisket was moist and tender but lacked seasoning, the pulled pork needed sauce as it was bland on its own, and the cornbread was on the dry side. The sausage was good. The chopped brisket sandwich was over sauced and the beans had a strong ketchup taste. Overall it was ok food with great staff. read more

This place is amazing! It was my first experience eating at mission bbq and it was just as good as everyone said. The employees are really friendly and helpful. I had lots of questions since it was my first time and I found everyone to be very knowledgeable about their products. One employee stood out above the rest and that was Erin. She was all over the dining room making sure guests had everything they needed and her personality was very outgoing. She will go far with the company. Great new place in Towson area. Very clean and the food is great. Had pulled pork and chicken sandwiches which were excellent, got a side of Mac & cheese which was good and only criticism is that the side is smaller than what we expected. Not the 1st time here, but may be the last. Brisket wasn't too bad, beans were great,but ribs were dry and tasteless. If I didn't know better, I would bet they were boiled until all flavors were out then smoked enough to dry them all the way out. It was 2nd time trying with the hope that 1st time was a fluke. I must preface this by saying that I am a pretty regular customer of this establishment and have never had one complaint about the food or service in the past...until last night. I went into the Towson, MD location on Friday, Feb 24, 2023, to order my favorite brisket sandwich. I was treated and my order was taken per usual, with professionalism and kindness. I was told the store was out of brisket, so I tried the shrimp. I was informed that the shrimp are cooked to order so it will take 5 to 10 additional minutes. I agreed to wait for the shrimp to be cooked and still ordered a sandwich, maggies mac and cheese, and a brownie. After a few min, I saw that my sandwich and mac was ready. after a total of 10 min, I saw that my shrimp came up and were ready to go. There was a gentleman that had placed a large order at the same time that I had placed mine. His order was ready except for the fish that they had only recently run out of. He was informed that they had an order of shrimp that he could substitute for the fish. The young lady then took my order and placed it in the other customer's bag. The order of shrimp that I had been waiting for was being given to another customer without any consideration of my time. I then went to the counter and asked the young lady why they did this, and asked for my full refund. At this point, I have been waiting for 15 min. she went to retrieve the manager and with no forethought, I had been standing watching for 15 min, she told me that several people order shrimp and that mine would be done in 5 to 10 min. I told her that she was lying and that this conversation is disrespectful and that I felt that they disrespected my time. The manager refunded my money and offered me a brownie as a consolation. I have never received this type of service at any of the Mission BBQ establishments before and I hope to never experience such a lack of compassion for my time and intelligence again. I am not sure of the names of the individuals, but I was in the establishment between the time of 8 and 830pm. I will continue to visit other Mission BBQs, but I will never again step foot in the Towson, MD location. read more

This was my first time eating at a Mission Bbq restaurant and what an EXPIERIENCE. There were 8 of us. The other group members were returning from last year. The staff was incredible and the food was soooo good, I looked forward to eating my leftovers at the hotel because you get so much. In particularity, I would like to recognize Michelle, who took my order with a smile and walked throughout the restaurant to make sure the customers were satisfied. She always smiled, courteous and professional. We felt very welcomed. It wasn't until after I had spoken with her the third time that I learned she was General Manager. Very impressive and humble. The entire team was great and we returned the next day to eat another great meal. Anytime, I'm in the area, I will intentionally visit this Mission Bbq. OUTSTANDING Kudos for representing the Brand. What happened? Went for dinner last night and all the food was in mini-portions. This was always the case at the Perry Hall location but this new place did not do that. I will go to support a good cause but to pony up 20-some dollars and leave the place hungry is counter productive. All the takeout orders were pitiful to look at when questioned if the portion was was the normal size and were they running out of supplies, the reply was that was the normal portion. This is a bbq joint and not an effete place serving rare endangered gazelle in 1.5 ounce portions along with sips of vintage wines. Why the pitiful portions, fellas? read more
