Hadn't been out to a restaurant since COVID came around. Was out all day school shopping and decided to check it out. Tables are spaced out well, soda machine has a sign to use a new cup. However, I was surprised that when a table was cleared it was only wiped down with a paper towel. I stood there (eventually sat) and waited to see if the employee would come back with spray to truly clean the table and she didn't. That was pretty gross. Thankfully, I had already wiped down the sauces and the table I was at with antibacterial wipes before sitting because otherwise I would have probably been more concerned about my family's health. Mission BBQ is a new approach to semi-structured food. Everything on the menu is made from scratch in house. Nothing warmed up nor microwaved. The meat is smoked overnight and the variety of BBQ sauces are made daily. We used Mission BBQ for catering our 30 people event. They delivered it to our house in a box that kept the extra food warm for hours. All of the needed plates, tongs, and flatware were provided. We ordered brisket, sausage (jalapeño and cheddar), pulled pork, mac and cheese, and baked beans. The food was plentiful; no one left our home hungry. The brisket was the allstar there was a mix of "wet" and lean brisket both of which had plenty of flavor. The sausage snaps even after it is cut and the cheese off sets the heat very well. I have had plenty of catered food, and this was some of the best I have had. Our family appreciated the "non traditional" catered food for our event. We had many compliments on the food and the included sauces. I believe we made some Mission BBQ customers today, and we will most likely use them again as well. read more

I'm not usually one for chain restaurants, but this place is great! I had the 3 meat sampler: brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken. I got French fries and kickin collared greens as my sides. Food tasted great and portion size was good. Service was quick, and manager was strolling around the dining area making sure that everyone was taken care of. Only negative was that the corn bread was a little on the dry side. They have 6 different BBQ sauces to try at the tables, all unique and sure to satisfy a wide variety of taste buds. Just ate there recently and the food was amazing. I went on a slow night because the place gets crowded, yes it's that good. My wife and myself got the brisket sandwich it was delicious. I would highly recommend checking out the banana pudding for dessert. read more

GREAT FOOD, SERVICE & MANAGEMENT. The place is beautifully decorated and comfortable. I ordered the salmon which tasted great but came out only lukewarm. They gave me another which was about the same temperature, but it was so good I couldn't resist just eating it. The sweet potatoes are incredibly flavorful. Turkey BBQ very good. A great array of BBQ sauces. A woman came to our table and genuinely wanted to take care of us. The manager did the same. This place is well run. Love the patriotic "support the troops" theme. National anythm plays at 12 noon daily and people and all employees stop and stand and face the American flag hanging prominently in the middle of the room. How nice to see some patriotism! I look forward to our next visit! And if everything comes out hot next time, I'll upgrade my rating. read more

The staff is SO nice, the service was amazing, the food is delicious, and local departments have patches, stickers, uniforms, and pictures all over the walls. They offer an upgraded drink cup to donate money to the local police and fire departments too. This place is AMAZING! We were even surprised by the 12pm daily playing of the the national anthem. We visited this place the third day it was open. This place is clean, the staff is impressively polite, respectful, and welcoming, and the menu suits all of your BBQ needs! We tried the lean brisket and the ribs, both of which were mouth-wateringly tender. The ribs fell right off the bone! Personally, I prefer a smokier flavor to my meat, but I enjoyed this very much. It comes with a little square of cornbread, which was delicious, AND one of the employees even brought us a complimentary tray of Freedom Fries. Best fries I've ever had! Hand-cut and clean tasting -- no old oil here! Very fresh!! After that, my boyfriend has visited two or three times while on lunch at work and he has tried everything and has not been disappointed. Also, their lemonade is delicious! I was expecting something overly sweet, as lemonade usually is, but it wasn't! I loved it! My first visit to mission and bought dinner for my mom and I. Food quality was very good and good flavor. My favorite sauces so far are Memphis Belle,Tupelo Honey and Bay-B-Que. My mom's favorite sauce is Texas Twang (to vinegary for me). The baby back ribs were really falling off the bone and the 1/2 chicken was very moist. Not a big fan of the sausage jalapeno and cheese and the Mac and cheese needs a little work and thickness, too runny for me. All in all good place. I will go back again. read more

I am from Texas spent .most my life there. I now live in NE, PA So for a chain this was good brisket but I like a more stronger wood for smoked brisket. I prefer mesquite smoked brisket. Also I am used to more condiment like jalapeños, raw onion and pickles. I would prefer bread over corn bread. But other than that a decent place it was clean & the staff was friendly. I have gone to Mission a few times in the past. My most recent visit is without a doubt, my worst experience EVER. I ordered 2 meals and a few sides. Once IT was complete, the service of the food server was as it always is, they show you your food and ask if you'd like any sauces or utensils. I ordered my sauces and continued to wait for my second meal. I then notice that the woman taking my order hadn't taken my order properly, I then had to wait in line again and reorder my wife's meal. No apology for the misunderstanding, nothing. They slap the steak into the box and send me off. The amount of food served is subpar, as well as the quality. I have never been to a BBQ restaurant that had portions this small, and to me, what makes it even worse is that this is the first time I have ever received this quantity of food. Literally, a spoonful of brisket and two (2) ribs, dry cornbread, my sides were sloppily contained (spilling out of the containers). As usual, the sides tasted decent (Mac & Cheese, a baked Sweet Potato, and Collard Greens). The small scoop of brisket was the good, only because I specifically requested that the brisket still have the fat on it. I plan on never returning. The ribs were just salty, and the steak was so over seasoned you couldn't taste the meat. All together I paid over $25 for 2 ribs, a spoonful of brisket, 3 sides and an 8oz "Steak". read more

This was my second trip to Mission BBQ. The first trip was great. This trip today not so great. The roll that I had with my brisket was at least three days old. The roll was old and dry. The brisket also dry. I tasted my daughters pulled pork also very dry. The first visit to this resturant I would have given it 8.5. Today 4.5. Just really dont have the feeling to want to go back again. This place had a great idea. Dont think they will sustain a good reputation. read more

This is now my favorite place to go for barbeque. I got the brisket and it was so tender and moist. I like to put their Smoky Mountain sauce on it. The sides here are also very good. They have one of the best mac and cheese I have ever had. Also the green beans with bacon and the french fries are great. The cornbread was the only disappointing thing, it was very dry. We went in and at first the set up was a little confusing but then Michael helped us by explaining how the whole set up was. He was very helpful and very courteous and patient with us.
