Searched for gre a t HH in North Las Vegas and we found Mission Control. When we arrived I remember dining at Saffron Indian next door which I remember they had a lounge next door. We walked in and it wasn't busy. Perfect!!! We sat down and reviewed the menu. There's regular tables and lounge seating available. Nice bar.. Food: Wings on HH (It came with 5 Wings) Honey Sriracha Tikka Masala Bowl Plain Naan Bread Our mistake for sitting on the lounge chairs. It was hard to eat. The Tikka Masala was delicious and so was the Naan Bread. The wings were ok. I ate one. I wouldn't order that again. The curry was delicious. The server didn't know I'd they had yogurt or raita. It pains me to write this review, but an honest one is owed. We came in hoping for a quality gastropub experience and left genuinely underwhelmed. Not by the concept, but by the execution. The night started with a small but telling moment. The QR code menu had one side for food and the other for beer, but cocktails were tucked in with the food side, not the beer side as you'd naturally expect. When we made the honest mistake of looking in the wrong place, the bartender's response was a dismissive look that told us it was obviously on the QR code. No clue why having actual physical menus isn't a thing here. For what it's worth, so many other places in Vegas still manage to have them, and it makes a difference. From there, the service issues compounded. Not a single smile from the bartenders. No greeting from management, and considering they clearly knew who was a regular and who wasn't, this was another miss. No one bothered to ask if it was our first visit or offer any guidance. Not a big deal on its own, but the best bar staff get this right. For a gastropub, where the bar experience is the experience, that's a serious miss. At one point I genuinely wanted to ask our bartender if she actually liked her job. The indifference was that palpable. What management was focused on, however, was passing out drink shots to a group of guys in the back while actual paying customers went unacknowledged. The whole vibe had a distinct "good ol' boys" feel to it, like certain guests mattered and others simply didn't. Not a great look. Perhaps the most egregious moment was watching bartenders eat their own food at the bar while serving customers. That's a basic professionalism standard, and it simply shouldn't happen. As for the food itself, it was a mixed bag. The hummus was a letdown: dry, chalky, and completely lacking the smooth, oily texture it should have. Wings were overcooked, and at this price point, that simply can't happen. The "pizza" was passable. The one bright spot? Goat cheese was available as an option, and honestly, it saved a few bites from being a total loss. The decor is cool, and this area genuinely needs a bar like this. I truly believe the locals here want this place to succeed and will overlook small details, but because our night started with unwelcoming service, the small things became hard to overlook. That's exactly why this review is so hard to write. Hopefully this was just an off night and they missed the mark this time around, because the concept deserves better than this execution. But until the staff culture changes, it's hard to recommend, but definitely pulling for this place to succeed. read more

This place is definitely needed on the north side of Vegas. I love coming here since it's lowkey, has great food and drinks, and nice vibe. Staff is always very friendly, attentive and make great recommendations. My husband and I try to get different drinks every time to taste the entire menu and we have not been disappointed yet. Barley Beet Salad (5/5). You can add shrimp or chicken to make it meteor. Ahi Tuna (5/5). A large portion but our waiter had an Armstrong enough to carry the plate. The three tasted great together but we didn't planet that way. If your mind is anxious, a drink will comet. Every bar has Marsgaritas and cosmos but Mission Control has many more space-themed cocktails. My wife enjoyed her Interstellar Reserve (a strong chai-spiced old fashioned). I picked one Imperial Hazy IPA from the online list on Untappd. Should have had a "flight" plan. If you Saturn down for dinner, don't attempt reentry to eat launch here the next day. Count down the hours until 3pm (except Sun-day when they open at 10am). If we lived local we'd gravitate here more than once in a blue moon. We wanted to check this place out because it was on our recommendations from Yelp. We got there about 530-6pm for dinner and drinks and the vibe and atmosphere was very cool. It has a joint restaurant attached to it if you want to come for a full dinner meal with more options, but we wanted to just come for the drinks and small plates. The menu is QR code scanned and they have a beer menu on the other side. Our first round of drinks, we got the satellite sour and smoky wormhole. Crazy names for crazy drinks but they were so delish. The sour was their twist on a bourbon sour but with Pinot noir foam which was such a good contrast. The smoky wormhole was a grilled watermelon juice with whiskey and mezcal and lemon and simple syrup. - most amazing flavor combos I've had!! The food we had to get naan pizza with chicken tandoori, and it definitely did NOT disappoint!! We also got the wings with the Sriracha honey sauce and they were cooked to perfection. A little spicy for my liking but the flavors were so good!! I'm just a wimp, my husband raved about them all night after we left. For our after dinner drinks, we got the lunar latte and the Cuban cosmonaut, both coffee style drinks, the latte was their twist on an espresso martini but came out clear which was cool, and the cosmonaut was like an Irish coffee but with buttered rum, both tasted amazing. Tastefully decorated, beautiful finishes and fun artwork. Very Midcentury. We were blown away by the food! My husband had the Bulgogi Burger and I had the Bimbimbop bowl. We also split the Naan Pizza. The portions were big, flavors were on point and everything was perfectly cooked. I was especially surprised with the authentic flavors in my bowl. I ordered the hummus $5 and a well cocktail $6. The bartender never came back to check on us for more drinks. The person next to me had to raise her voice and wave to get his attention. He then takes awhile to make her drink. She had to asked him for her drink. And, again he never came back to see if we wanted more drinks. Now it's time to pay and he gives me the device to pay and walks away, another waitress comes by and shows me how to pay and walks away. I see the bill and they charged me $3 for the pita bread and vegetables! WTH the humus comes with pita bread. The bartender never said oh there's a $3 charge for the pita bread and vegetables. So, remember I'm still holding on to the device and now my coworker wants to pay, and where's the bartender? At the end of the bar not paying attention if we need help. I had to get up and tell him another person wants to pay. I don't know if this bartender is new but he needs some training! We are not for sure going back and we for sure don't recommend this place. But I'm going to take that risk and publicly praise Mission Control anyway becuase they deserve it. Depending upon which regular patron you speak with, you may hear that this is a Beer Lovers' Bar, a Whisky Lovers' Bar, or a Tequila Lovers' Bar. All of them are correct. Mission Control hosts cocktail crash courses, bottle releases, and partnerships like last night's Bruery tap takeover which featured raffles and giveaways all night -including a Reservarion Society Select Membership that comes with a dozen of Bruery's best 750ml releases. All night long Coby and Jeremy were doling out samples from their personal collection, while Raj was doing a little bit of everything. Everybody there was cool. This is a good vibes hangout where it's easy to become friends with people you just met. In addition to rotating the Tap handles on their draft beer selection pretty regularly, they also have a very high end spirits club (which is a bit too rich for my blood) that allows them to bring in above-top-shelf whisky, tequila, rum, and gin. Both the owner and the beverage director are prone to sharing a taste and you can tell they love what they do. The lounge adjoins the Indian restaurant Saffron next door and you can order and eat right at the bar. Everything I've had to eat from Saffron thus far has been delicious, but on Sundays they offer a naan-wrapped burrito which is next level. All the bar staff are super friendly and attentive: Ali, Jasmine, Nicole, Shelly --you really can't go wrong. And the space theme is present without veering into kitsch. Stumbled upon this place earlier this week and decided to try it yesterday night. The cocktails are a fun twist on all things traditional. The Lunar Latte was so fully rounded, creamy and light with no bitterness. The Smokey Wormhole is a drink like nothing I have had before. There's this really balanced savory/ umami flavor that pairs so well with the slightly sweet watermelon. The last drink we tried was the Savory Solstice, UNREAL. I believe the bartender described it's best as a 'bloodless mary'. The believe the drink is clarified, so it's pretty unassuming until that first sip. Flavor is unmatched, it's a little spicy, savory, and fresh at the same time I've never had anything like it before. I thought the Lunar Latte would have been my favorite but honestly I can't wait to go back for the Solstice. We made it there after the kitchen had closed so we definitely need to go back because the menu looks great. A few things to note: this is a smoke and gambling free bar! Very refreshing to see that, and it really sets it apart from every other bar in the area. Parking is easy. The music and lighting are both set to perfection. You can have a conversation with someone and not feel like you're screaming at them. It's the perfect background volume. The decor is also welcoming, it's warm and moody, with comfy chairs and inviting lounge areas. It's cozy enough for a first date , but open enough for a fun group hang. Every person here is so friendly and attentive. The passion for what they do shines through in every drink they pour, and in their general demeanor. It has the closeness and comfort of a neighborhood bar, but the ambiance of a cool downtown bar. The cocktails and craft beers at Mission Control rival some of the better downtown arts district options. We got to sample some of the cocktails they are working on for spring, and again I was blown away. This place is a true hidden gem. My husband and I had a rare date night and decided to check out Mission Control since I wanted Indian apps and local beer. This place hit both of those cravings. We started out with a couple of beer flights - they had some great selections to pick from and we were able to see a list of them on the UnTapped app. We also ordered a bunch of different food items. We had a Chicken Tikka bowl, Naan pizza and Puri. We actually ended up doing "Puri roulette" where one of the Puri pieces is extra spicy, but you don't know which one. The food was great, the Tikka masala did lack a little bit of flavor that I am used to when I order that dish from other Indian places but it was still good.
