Across the street from the HEB, this places is usually packed. I got the basic wash $10 to try out on my 2012 SUV. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's an automated check in machine but there is a human there who asks you what kind of wash and how much you want to tip them, which I think it's awkward.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Almost at the grocery store, when they ask you to donate to some random charity. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The person directing you in seemed cheerful and then I pressed neutral for my go to get the clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I did not try the vacuum today but was surprised at how clean the windows were including the rims. Overall, better than expected and my car was dirty coming in. My car already has tons of scratches, so I didn't see any new ones today. I don't think I'd get anything different from a basic wash. Mister Car Wash on Washington Ave is always slammed when I stop by, and I can never seem to catch it during a slow moment. The wash itself is decent and the vacuums are strong, but the experience could be smoother. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a little annoying how workers insist on helping with the simplest step of paying, and the lane setup is confusing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The right two lanes are marked for members, but in reality all lanes are standard pay lanes -- it would make far more sense if only one was reserved for members.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Still, it is an easy place to swing in if you are driving by or headed to H-E-B for groceries. I'm no car buff but this Mister Car Wash doesn't have full shine. Located just off of Washington Ave across from HEB, this is one of the busiest automated tunnel car washes in the city with three drive up lanes funneling into a single wash entry. Even with all of the lanes, it gets busy. Patrons are unfortunately not always courteous when alternating cars to form a single file line. I've been coming to this location for many years and have found coming just after opening (7am) or just before close to be the best time to avoid the lines and this unpleasant congestion. This location is nice as it does stay open later than some of their other locations, until 7pm. They always have a very friendly attendant at the pay stations to help with questions, any payment issues, or to assist with sign ups for their memberships which is really nice. I don't know about everyone else but going through the car wash gives me anxiety and this extra support always helps. They have a monthly unlimited membership for $19.99 which pays itself off if you get more than 2 car washes a month and given the amount of construction going on in the area and dust and dirt on the roads, is easily worth it. They also make it really easy to pause or cancel your membership if anything changes. This location also has many bays with free vacuums and forced air to make sure not only the outside, but the inside of your car is in spotless. Some of the other Mister Car Wash locations don't have this feature. Ok so why only 3 stars? The wash just isn't the best. Every time that I go through, even with different types of vehicles, I feel like there is always some dirt left on my car. I went through this morning after noticing some bird poop on the top of my car and noticed it was only partially removed. Again, a few spots isn't going to blow my seal but it is a little disappointing. The Mister Car Wash on Crosstimbers at Shepherd is far superior for the exact same price. I've been comparing for a while and it's worth the drive to go to Crosstiimbers. Well known chain with unlimited car washes. It's actually three times a day, but who's counting? This is one of the better self service locations in Houston. This doesn't have the detail service so they have vacuums you can use. The vacuums have been updated and are very powerful. With the new vacuums, this location is my goto to clean my car inside and out. There are a fair amount of stalls after you get your car washed to detail and vacuum the inside of your car. There are two hoses for each stall so it's take care of all the areas of your car. There's also a machine specifically for your car mats. The lines are rarely long except on weekends. read more

I tend to prefer CARisma on Kirby for automated car wash service, but I do like coming to this location, especially since it's conveniently located near the HEB on Waugh. I frequent this car wash because of location convenience and definitely enjoy it. This car wash is an exterior car wash only. They have vacuums at this location that you can use on your own to clean the inside of your car. There is an unlimited members lane to the far right which is highly convenient if you have a membership. I highly suggest the Express membership which is $19.99 per month for an exterior car wash. Come once a week and it's only $5 per wash!! The workers here are very friendly. The only gripe I have is that the dryers at the end of the car wash are not the greatest. My car comes out fairly streaky and I for sure recommend bringing a cloth to dry your car down afterwards (if you care). I know there are other Mister Car Wash locations that have workers who dry your car immediately afterwards- this is not the case here. Overall, this is a quick and easy place to get a car wash and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a no frills, basic car wash. read more

Went through the car wash off Washington last Saturday morning. I was drying my car off extra (because the dryer left wet spots on my car), right outside near the vacuum area, and noticed these scratches. I should've reported it on site, but, based off the feedback from others who had similar issues, I'm not very trusting that Mister Car Wash is able to efficiently assist me with this. I've received several quotes and it's going to cost me $500-$1,000. Would highly recommend going to a HAND car wash company instead where this wouldn't happen. While the cost is low, the wash is average, and the damages are high - I'd recommend going to a hand car wash instead. read more

I was being double billed after I upgraded to the next level package. I tried to call and close the lesser account package on a couple of occasions. I tried to go online to resolve the issue. The website froze at the BILLING ISSUE button. I then called and was put on hold for 40 minutes! The young lady took another 20 minutes to find and cancel the older account. If the call volume is so GREAT this should tell Management, there is a problem in the Billing, Website hosting, and Customer Service call centers. It should never take an hour to resolve such minor issues in these areas. read more

I have been to multiple Mister Car Wash locations in Arizona and have always had a decent wash. Not the best, but consistent. I don't even know what to say about this wash, but it was not a wash at all. In and out of the tunnel in less than 45 seconds. The Mister Car Wash locations I have been to in the past have always had employees at the end of the tunnel to wipe your car down (same price in Arizona as the Washington Ave. location). Convenient location, fairly fast service, but price feels a bit steep. Vacuuming is included with the price of the car wash, but you have to do it yourself and it is sort of a "luck of the draw" if the vacuum you choose sucks the most ;) I definitely feel like it did a good job of getting the "easy" dirt off the car, but not the dirt around license plants, cracks, seals, etc. Would need to take it to one of their full service locations to get that level of detailing. I am a bit frustrated that they ask you to tip the staff but you literally drive your own car through the wash and vacuum/detail it yourself. Not sure what I tipped for. read more

It was my first time visiting this location, and it is just as average as every other Mr. Car Wash I've stopped at. I got the most complete wash they offer, and my car was still dirty afterwards. The tires were as shiny as ever, but the hood and windshield were still covered in bugs, there were water spots on the sides, and the tailgate door was still visibly dirty. Once I got to the drying area, my hose tip came off within 15 seconds so I had to move to another spot that had a decent hose and do the vacuuming. Two things worth mentioning: employees are very friendly, and the vacuum section is very well lit. I was still able to see the outside & interior of the car even after sunset. All in all, I felt like I ended up hand-washing the car myself anyways. In the future, I will continue to take my business to another carwash where, for almost the same price, employees hand-wash it and detail it both inside and outside. read more

Apparently all the Bubbles Car Wash centers in Houston have been acquired by a new company, Mister Car Wash. So far it seems they have just changed the signs, time will tell if they change things out or are able to keep it up like the Bubbles was able to. The good thing was that the machine accepted my old Bubbles Car wash book. If it hadn't I would have been highly upset, but they get an extra star for that. Absolutely worst car wash for $18. Don't know where the hot wax was because there were spots all over the car. Had to go over the spots with wax when I got home. Mister just took over the local Prime Shine car wash facilities Ceres/Modesto. I am not impressed with the new company. I use the following facilities and the results are the same: Ceres location on Mitchell Road and the one located on Hatch Road. The Modesto location on McHenry, close to 5 points. My truck and car come out super wet. I have to manually drive the vehicles EVERY SINGLE time! I see several customers drying down their vehicles too. Sometimes we get to talking about how shitty the air blowers are and how Prime Shine was so much better. I will say the employees are top notch when it comes to customer service! They always greet me with a smile! They are super friendly! read more
