Estimated work $60-$160. Showed up, didn't listen to what I had to say. Simply defrosted my refrigerator, which I have done before and told me $240. He didn't even completely defrost it. I asked him to tell me what's wrong with it and he said it was fixed. Never told me why it keeps freezing over. He left. I took the back panel off and the drain hole was still frozen shut and my panel was also now cracked. Sent him a message explaining that he didn't repair anything. He never responded. This is my 2nd time using Dimitri. I had a very good experience with him the first time, so when my Gaggneau refrigerator and freezer were emitting heat I called him to come take a look. He showed me that that there was a lot of dust and fuzzy lint looking stuff near or on the coils. He checked everything and he cleaned those out. While he was there I had him check my washer machine since it was really old. He cleaned that out too. I want to prevent breakdown of the appliances that are in my house. Dimitri works fast and is focused. His english is not perfect but it is GOOD enough for me to understand. More importantly, he is professional, nice, smart, and trust worthy. My Samsung Dishwasher gave me the LC error code, which meant it had a leak, or the sensor had too much moisture near it. My daughter and I attempted to fix the problem ourselves through YouTube videos diagnosis assistance. Well, after we did all that, we still had an error code. So I got in touch with Dimitry, and he came out to do a real diagnosis. He determined that the other contractor who said it was leaking was incorrect and that by us leaving the dishwasher unplugged long enough, the error code reset. He ran a full cycle with no issues! I was on the verge of buying a new dishwasher when my barely 3 yrs old Samsung was perfectly okay. He saved me so much money and prevented me from being scammed by a different contractor. Mr Di came out to diagnose our refrigerator, he found that the starter was burned out so he replaced it. Unfortunately the starter failed after a few hours, it turns out the compressor was the issue. Mr Di gave us the option of a refund for the repair or use the repair money towards a new compressor. He was fair and honest the entire time. So, my dryer went out, and I NEED my dryer. Laundry is never ending. I reached out to several appliance repair companies and Mister Di Repair, was the quickest to respond and had the lowest diagnostic rate. Turns out my dryer needed a new belt and a pulley. He was very quick, arrived on time, and my dryer works now. BUT I quickly searched for the cost of the parts, and for the belt and pulley, it would have been $45 if anything and I'm included shipping. For the 30 minutes he was at my place, I ended up paying $200. I let it go for convenience. But I'm just saying. $49 diagnostic, waived with repair, on cheap parts and 30minutes labor, equated to $200 bucks. Convenience is costly. Do the numbers. Pros: Got same day service from a really nice and friendly technician - Dmitriy. Quick and efficient. Fixed our GE Profile dishwasher in about 45 minutes. Con: I get that money has to be made by small business and i don't begrudge that in any way. But, I selected Mister Di Repair based on the email he sent me where its stated the estimate was $50-$160. Ok, cool - come on out. Work was completed and i was charged $240. I challenged Dmitriy on the price and he say the part was expensive. Hmmm...$25 per Google - huh? Again I get that money has to be made but that means i ended up paying $215 for one hour's worth of labor. You make your own decision but i know what i'll do next time. Dimitry was nice. But, very unprofessional. We had him come do a quote. He diagnosed the problem (we later learned, incorrectly) and told us he was ordering a part and it would be a couple of days. 5 days later -- no part and he is no longer responding to my messages asking him about the issue. We have 5 small children and are completely out of a refrigerator. We had someone else come to look and it's a different part that needs to be replaced. So we waited an entire week longer than needed to fix this necessary appliance. We had a great experience with Mister Di Repair! We discovered our dishwasher water valve needed to be replaced before we could install a new dishwasher. We were told by the Home Depot delivery team that it would likely require a separate visit from a plumber and an appliance installer.
