Always good. Seasoning is consistently on point. Had more tripe this time than beef but that's okay.

Friendly staff that quickly took our to-go order as soon as we walked in. We've been to this restaurant a handful of times but always had our food to go. Usual orders are the Phnom Penh noodle and I have it dry (#1) and Beef salad (#19). Solid food and consistent quality. Their restroom is always clean so the rating should be 5+ stars. Haven't found any Cambodian restaurant in the Bay that's as good as Mitapheap since Nyum Bai is closed. If you've found any, suggestions are welcome!

Walls were adorned with Angkor wat framed paintings , other then that not much of an ambiance. I had a bowl of kuy teav phnom pehn ( Cambodian noodles soup style ) and we shared chai qua ( fried breads ) flavors for both did not stand out to me . It tastes fine but not the best comparison to other restaurants I been to. My friends had babaw cheam chrouk pork blood rice porridge & lord cha stir fry pin noodles . They mentioned the lord cha had great flavors and babaw was ok. Service was mediocre, friendly demeanor was non existent and not attentive

    Lemongrass chicken w/hot basil

Cozy lil restaurant. The area has gotten a bit better thankfully. Cash only fyi, come prepared. For me, I loooooooove the lemongrass chicken with hot (holy?) basil. It just satisfies this meat and rice boy's tummy. Love the flavor. Also, kids absolutely crave for the beef and American broccoli here. It has that classic taste, that to me, is how beef n' broccoli should taste like.

2/10/25: Decided on a quick lunch here, since I haven't for a while. Quiet and steady. Food we ordered was two large beef noodle soups and a seafood chow fun with gravy sauce plate. I don't know if it was just that day, but all three orders were awful and tasteless. The beef noodle broths were just bland even with all of the ingredients mixed in. The flat noodles in the chow fun were a bit chewy and I expected more bits of other seafood. The gravy sauce to it wasn't slightly thick to my liking. Maybe, that day was just an off day, I have always enjoyed their foods in the past. Then again, I will just stick to my go-to orders of their fried rice and porridge.

    Beef combination kathiew

A very casual and authentic Cambodian restaurant. I come here for their pork combination rice porridge and the husband would get their beef kathiew (pho). We haven't tried anything else on the menu. Portion size I would say it's just right. This place only accept cash as their only form of payment. Restaurant itself could possibly be renovated.

Combination fried rice. The sausage is my favorite in this.

My husband and I enjoy coming to this mom-and-pop restaurant occasionally. It's our favorite place for pho. Whenever we visit, we see the same familiar customers, which gives us the impression that it's a very friendly and family-oriented place. The food is affordable and delicious, and the service is quick and friendly. The dining room is spacious and well-maintained.

My favorite would have to be the fried pompano and the service. Will most likely come back for the fish. The quail was good too

**cash only** Since moving away from my parents I haven't had alot of cambodian food... I really missed prohok ktiss and this place brought me back to my childhood. Everything I ordered tasted like how it should and it wasn't salty! Definitely come by if your craving Cambodian food

https://youtu.be/6CIq2fp9dDg I ordered their Beef Salad, Salaw Machew Kreung, Squid salad, Fish Amok, Fried Fish with Ginger and Lort Cha. My favorites were the Salaw Machew Kreung and Lort Cha. The Fish Amok was pretty good as well. The waiter was attentive and the food was affordable. The setting was average for the neighborhood. Watch me eat the food at the link above.

Chicken over ginger rice with fermented veggies and cucumbers

I think this is a pretty decent place! I got the Prahok, Chicken over Ginger Rice, and the Eggplant plate with ground pork + shrimp! Eggplant plate 5/5 - This was my favorite dish! The eggplants were smoky and the ground pork was crispy! Really good combo and tasted amazing! Prahok 4/5 - I've never had this before so I have nothing else to compare it to but it was the reason why I stopped by. I thought it was really good! It's a fermented fish based dish I believe mixed with diff spices and coconut milk. So, so, so flavorful. It comes with vegetables to dip and if you want rice you will have to get that on the side. Really good first experience with the dish. Definitely on the sour side. Chicken over ginger rice 2.5/5 - Let's start with the good, the ginger rice was on point! A little crispy too which I liked. The chicken and vegetables on the other hand tasted a little old. My first bite was the chicken dipped in the fish sauce that comes with it and it just tasted a bit of to me. I found that eating the two separate was fine but together -- no bueno. The chicken was a bit dry which made me wonder if it was a little old. But still edible. The fish sauce was diff from what I've had before and so maybe I'm just not used to the flavor combo since I usually eat Lao/Thai food. Stockton has some really decent restaurants! Other pluses to this place is the pickled chili peppers + red chili paste which makes such a good veggie dip the way it is. They also have hot tea for a cheap price which is nice. They are also clean and practicing social distancing which is always a plus for me!

If you're ready to order you will need to use the QR code provided on the table. I personally think some kind of instructions near the QR code/ on the table for the guest would be a little helpful. Nothing crazy either. (Just like a hey order here, and we will be with you shortly ... idk just a thought) If you are patient enough and already ordered someone will indeed come by with water, utensils, napkins and the side you ordered with your pot. For all the staff that was coming in/out the kitchen today service was bare minimum. Hardly anyone came to our table to check on us or the quality of our food. Food wasn't the best for the price either. For me personally none of the pots seemed appealing. I ended up ordering a soup then adding beef, ramen and some corn. Corn was way too sweet. My husband opted for the seafood pot and he later wished he would have just order a custom pot and added a bunch of stuff instead. Way too many veggies. One tiny lobster, two muscles, two shrimp and a partridge in a pear tree.. I ordered the Thai tea and my husband the brown sugar milk tea. Be sure to check and see if your drink already comes with boba so you don't buy extra and not receive extra. My drink was awful and I am a HUGE FAN of Thai Tea. I ended up ordering the same drink as my husband -- the brown shaken milk tea and it was so much better. We still had to pay for all 3 drinks even though the Thai tea tasted like medicine. What really threw me for a loop was the bug (looked like a baby cockroach) crawling towards me on the table. I'm not sure what's going on here but I just was not happy with my experience.

The manager must be a family member, for the original owners to allow this location to go so far down. I stopped in today, after months. 6 months, checked my last review. Yes had an issue that time. Thought maybe the staff changed. I ordered on the kiosk as always, most of the staff looked at me repeatedly, finally, one offered to help, after a customer, a lady nicely told him I was first, he told me he will be with me after. After finishing, he said someone will get my ordered made. No one ever acknowledged my order. Some staff, kept going to the back, coming up front, looking at each other and laughing. So, since the shake machine is in the back, out of sight, I didn't trust them making it, so I stopped a staff member and asked to cancel my order. He did without an issue, because no one bother to start it. As the on duty manager was refunding me. A staff member came from the back and lowly asked him if it was canceled. He turned and said yes. So maybe, they already cleaned the machine and don't want to use it, not sure. He did offer a free pastry, I had one on my order, but told him no, it was ok. Always make a point to withhold your money, if you aren't treated as a wanted customer. Everything is too high nowadays. And unfortunately, employees think, their bosses pay them, regardless of money coming through the business. Also, after the previous manager, the food quality has gone way down. It's sad to see the place so empty, compared to how it was before. So disappointing!
