Found Dr. Mitch Levitt after Googling and comparing his Yelp reviews to other dentists in the area. Moved from Chicago and was looking for a new dentist, and have to say the five star review is no joke. He's far and away the best dentist I've had in my life, and as a plus- can't complain about the window view as I'm getting worked on. The staff are all incredibly friendly- in fact if you were to look at stock photos of a dental office and everyone is all Smiley, super happy/cheerful, and you think that's not real it's just a stock photo.... no that's Dr. Mitch's office. They're amazing- and I can't recommend this place enough. This review is long overdue. I have been a patient of this practice for about 20 years now. A few years ago, Dr. Levitt took over. I have really grown to like Dr. Levitt and his entire staff. If I had to use one word to describe him, it would be perfectionist. He has to make sure everything is perfect---a good thing! He does a great job of making sure his patients are comfortable while getting their procedures (and I have had a lot). Another great thing about this dental practice is the staff. Dr. Levitt has been my dentist for 5 year and I couldn't be happier. I have had a number of procedures done (fillings, crowns, root canals) and every time Dr. Levitt has done an amazing job. I even had a dental emergency on a Saturday and Dr. Levitt called and talked me through it and then saw me at 7:30am that Monday morning. It was beyond accommodating. I even drive from Sherman Oaks to Mid-Wilshire in order to keep coming here. In addition to that, the office staff and hygienists are all wonderful. The entire vibe at the office is really positive. I lived in Los Angeles for 13 years with one bad dentist experience after the next, though none of them came close to my horrible dentist back in D.C. When my office moved into a new building, I happened to notice a dental practice was in the building as well. I figured I might as well go to one within a 1 minute walk so... good or bad, at least I'd have that. To my unexpected and pleasant surprise, Dr. Levitt is sort of in the "sweet spot" for a physician: still young enough to be interested in his profession and up on the latest tools and techniques but experienced enough to have seen and done everything. He's very friendly and funny. I was surprised to read one reviewer on here who thought he was "condescending" and I've never once experienced anything like that. In fact, I've repeatedly recommended him to people in my office and I've always been thanked for it by those who have gone. I have a bit of gum recession on one of my teeth and he knows my reluctance to have the procedure to fix it. I asked him about a new procedure I read about that significantly lowers the time to recover and he had spoken with his Periodontist colleague about it on my behalf (his colleague was just trained in the procedure so I plan to have it done soon). So at least from my experience, he really goes out of his way for the health and concerns of his patients. read more

I absolutely love it here! The waiting area feels like a mini Museum of Modern Art, everybody is incredibly friendly and they have tremendous respect for your time. Brie did my cleaning, and she has a very gentle hand and great chair side manner. Street parking is usually pretty easy on one of the side streets off Wilshire. I am beyond thankful for yelp for helping me find doctor Levitt! I was looking for a dentist after moving to the area recently and came across his office. I am very fearful of the dentist and since walking into the office the staff the dr. Levitt made me feel comfortable. My first visit i got x-rays after not been to the dentist in 4 years do to the fear I have but once meeting dr. Levitt and all his staff it was smooth sailing. I have now been to his office 3 times to get all necessary treatment and I am so at ease!! No matter if it's him or one of his dental hygienist they care so much about your comfort and you as a patient. Also not to mention Dr. Levitt always checks in to make sure all is good at all my visits. I have never felt so good about going to the dentist. And within my 3 visits they work around my schedule! The receptionist Michelle is amazing she makes sure to get me in for times that she know works for me..
