Quaint noodle shop on Douglaston Parkway. Very spacious dining area since it took over the former diner. Food is prepared pretty quick as I've done take out twice already. Menu is very limited with the protein options though with a few choices of noodles (spicy, ramen, or soup versions). They also carry poke bowls which I have yet to try. I did enjoy my beef over rice very much. Thin slices of beef, super tender and delicious. The sauce was on the sweeter side which was drizzled onto the beef as an au jus. And it came with half an egg, pickled radishes and broccoli. Another dish I enjoyed was the fish and cabbage hot pot. That was served with a bowl of rice. No noodles. Even with the spice level at "one pepper" rating, it was too much of a kick for me. But those that like spicy will enjoy it just fine. The fish pieces it came with were generous sized portions and this bowl was loaded with vegetables. Wood ear, mushrooms, cabbage, sliced white radish, and bean curd skin. It also has a few slices of spam (which I did order extra so I'm not sure if the normal is two slices). We also tried the pan fried pork gyoza which was perfectly fried on each side. Nice color. Taiwanese pork as a side comes with one pc per order. The fried chicken appetizer could use a little more spices but the chicken was so tender and very juicy. I liked it a lot. It does come with a dipping sauce which helps but I didn't use it much. All in all a good spot for take out but the menu will need to be expanded in order to have longevity. Have a event nearby and saw this new noodle restaurant! The place is clean, has friendly staff and great service. Didn't order noodles this time, but instead, tried the fried chicken, salmon pole bowl, and shrimp shumai. All were delicious! We will be back for the noodles for sure! read more

When I step into the restaurant ,I feel a sense of warmth and familiarity.The tables comfortably spaced to give diners room to breathe and relax. The noodle soup was great--a huge portion and really tasty. We will definitely be back because of the great service. read more

New place in the neighborhood, wanted to try it. We got take out hot pots and the fried chicken. The hot pot soups are so close to being perfect, they should reduce it more so it's more flavorful but the flavor profile is there. I ordered thru fantuan and there was no option for spicier but I think the fish sour cabbage soup woulda been even better a little spicier. Fried chicken is pretty good too but also could have a touch more flavor to be perfect. Don't care for the sweet honey mustard sauce it comes with. Will probably try this place again but there is room for improvement too :) hope they get more business read more

We stopped in for a quick dinner on a Saturday night and were glad we did. We ordered the braised pork rice bowl and the fish with sour cabbage noodles. The braised pork was basically pork belly over rice with their sauce on it, and it was very flavorful and great for the price. The fish dish was also flavorful but a little peppery. Came here for dinner with my brother. Plenty of seats so for seated right away and Staff was friendly. Ordered the Marinated Fried Chicken, I had the Za Jiang Noodle and my brother ordered the Braised Beef Noodle. The Marinated Fried Chicken was delicious, although it seemed to me more like large pieces of popcorn chicken. My dish had peanut sauce, - was ok but needed more sauce/gravy - tasted dry. Menu indicated spicy but it wasn't. The Braised Beef Noodle was very good. Would not order my dish again. But I would come back to try other dishes. read more

The service is decent, no complaints. The restaurant itself is comfortable and clean. We started off with the fried marinated chicken as an appetizer, slightly tender but not as flavorful as we thought it would be, slightly bland. The fish and sour cabbage were super underwhelming, more veggies than fish in the "hot pot." The flavors are not strong and I have definitely had better, would probably rank this the lowest compared to other restaurants. The rice that it came with was obviously not fresh, slightly yellow, and the scent was off (aware that they are known for noodles based off of restaurant name). My partner got the beef noodle soup, he said it was not bad, the texture of the noodles saved the dish, the soup itself is not as strong as we would normally prefer. But overall the best item of the three would be the beef noodle soup. The bill came out to 42 without tip, not worth it. Most likely not coming back. read more

This is a new restaurant so decided to give it a try, since I am a fan of noodle soups. I have a few go-too places in my vicinity, and wondered if this establishment could be one more. The dining area is quite large with roughly 8 to 10 very plain wooden tables. Apart from a Buddha statue and a few Chineese objects placed around the cash register the decor is [simple] as well. I ordered the braided beef noodle soup medium spice, as the server recommended, although I typically order regular spicy in other places. The single server that they had, was very friendly and attentive. well, when the soup came, it looked very appetizing. I mixed the noodles well with the bok choy another ingredients. The broth was exceptional, and the noodles were cooked just right. Many places have their noodles overcooked, which I do not enjoy. Definitely authentic flavors and the braised egg was quite good. Overall, I would give the food a 4 to 5. Will return to try other dishes. read more

Came with my family of 4 on a week night for an early dinner. We were the only customers there. I'm hoping because it was around 5:30pm. We had 3 different bowls of noodles and 2 appetizers. Everything tasted excellent. The ramen was perfect consistency. My kids loved the tomato and sliced beef noodles and said that they wanted to come back for it again before they were even done. I had the spicy pickled cabbage and sliced fish noodle. The broth was so amazing I drank all the soup. Service was also excellent. Simple Noodle provided warm, hearty fare quickly. Our waitress was polite and helpful. The space was clean and simply decorated. We had three different noodle dishes, two soups, a spicy beef and a vegetable soup, as well as a noodle dish with ground pork. All these dishes were satisfying and enjoyable, and we will be returning. read more
