The vibes and drinks here are absolute the details of the decor are impeccable and the vessels for the drinks are top notch! Our service was excellent! I've been here twice now, once late at night and once for brunch. First off, Absolutely come for brunch! The food was wonderful, and the prices were very affordable compared to the dinner menu. I personally thought the dinner menu prices were a bit..steep, but to each their own. The specialty drinks were absolutely worth it, and pricing was on par with other places with similar gimmicks. Never going back to this place - The only positive thing is about this place is the vibe. It's popping and has a bustling vibe, however service sucks. 1. We booked the table to sit inside and waited for a long time then get seated outside instead. 2. Server took a long time to go say hi to our table. It was a solid 30 minutes. Not his fault but staffing issue. 3. Server never checked on us after the food was delivered. 4. MOST IMPORTANT, they charged 18% for gratuity and had the audacity to ask for tips on top of that. The tips was almost 300 bucks for the bill of $700. If you can't afford to pay your worker, add that to the food. Don't be shady and collect extra fees left and right. read more

Menu said fresh but it def is not made to order when we asked about no cilantro for a member of our party. Drinks were cute but weak and soooo sweet. Downstairs nightclub bar area does not like to give receipts. It seems they make up drink prices as they go along. When I asked for receipt, the bartender was visibly annoyed/upset and took drinks away and told me to go upstairs. The downstairs area seems to be a cash only business with no set prices. We tried to make a reservation online and were directed to a page saying they only have a waitlist. We also called, and they said they didn't take reservations. Upon trying to join the waitlist it said they weren't taking parties. When we showed up, they asked if we had a reservation and we stated no, they didn't take them and we had tried multiple ways to get one. The wait was about 1.5 hours at 9:15pm on a Saturday, which would have been fine would they have been honest/clear about their reservation policy. I'm not sure how you can make a reservation since the website doesn't allow it and calling doesn't either. I reallly wanted to love this place but here we go. Is it instagram picture worthy? Absolutely. But everything else, not worth it in my opinion. Went here for a birthday celebration and we each ordered a drink- they are all "pre made" and were so sweet that we both kept adding water to them to dilute the sweetness a bit. And not to mention the drinks are $20+. We started with the fried chicken sushi roll and the cheese dip. The sushi roll was just okay and the pieces were HUGE I had to cut mine in half. And the cheese dip... it was like they unwrapped 10 pieces of string cheese and put it in a hot dish. It was like one big chunk of cheese. For entrees, I got the birria tacos which were actually okay! Meat was tender but the shell was kind of greasy? My friend got the 12oz filet "USDA Prime" for $72. Everything about that was a joke. The size, the price, the quality. It was SO TOUGH that it was like sawing a log even using the steak knife and it was one of the chewiest bites of steak I've ever had. The restaurants suggestion was to use a "different steak knife because maybe the one they gave us is not sharp?" Um no thank you. The manager came over and said that is just how the steak is prepared there so there is no point in remaking it because it is going to come out the same every time. They did bring out a birthday dessert which was a small piece of cheesecake and it was doused in those little round crunchy sprinkles- we scraped all of the sprinkles off because they were so hard. Last but not least, the bill came- they did comp the steak- total was over $100 and when the tip option was presented on the screen it gave standard option for 20%, 22%, and 25%, I opted for 20% and completed the transaction but later on when I got home and looked closer at my receipt- the "20% tip" was more like 35%... Also side note- they use like a mini flame thrower to torch one of their sushi rolls- a couple tables by us got that- the flame was so loud and it smelled so bad after like butane. Can't imagine that would taste good?! I will absolutely never go here again. Epic fail Mito. There are 1,000 other restaurants in the area that are far superior than this one so do yourself (and your wallet) a favor and cross this one off your list. read more

I'm not understanding the negative reviews I travel often and have been to MANY a restaurant in many a city, and Mito could go toe-to-toe with any spot in Miami, L.A. Houston, or Denver. Those folks complaining about the prices are just cheapskates who should go to Perkins The food and drinks are competitive, except for the super high end specialty items, which are few. We were there on a Friday night... there was a live DJ, so the music was LOUD, but that's part of what makes it special... and I am a 48 year old man! Not the music I expected, especially because their menus, drinks, and foods are advertised as authentic Latin food. The servers seemed lost. Our table rejected food from other tables about 2 or 3 times throughout the night. Also, the servers didn't know who ordered what, and seemed overall confused. The food was terrible, I don't mind paying for good quality food, but it was dry and not very flavored. I ordered queso fundido, the queso was great, the taste was delicious but they only provided 4 Lays type of potato chips to share between 2 people. I also ordered 2 Tacos Negro Ensenada and the fish was dry and not very flavorful. Ladies and gentlemen the food at Mito was incredible except the chicharrones. That was tough and chewy and like jerky and I regret it because I normally don't eat pork. My ceviche de pasión was light and fresh and not fishy at all. My friends chicken empanadas were awesomely seasoned and served with a sauce that had depth. My friends pollo loco redeemed the chicharrones with juicy meat and nicely flavored skin. Their quac was smooth but nothing to rave about. Kinda sad the servers had to bring them out in which seemed to be 1,000 lb mortars. Who are we serving? The Gods? Any who. You'll love the ambiance, the beautiful people, the stage live dancing and 2 floors. I won't post pictures of the girls bathroom. Just be prepared to be taken away and bring your camera. Walked in on a Friday afternoon ar approximately 4pm. Got greeted by a great host, then I picked the bar side table where I met Daniel who was my server during my time there. Daniel is a very respectful and professional individual, and he made sure to explain what all the meals and drinks were in detail. Here were my meals **was too hungry photos, so you can either use your imagination or go there and experience the GREATNESS for yourself** #1. California tempura roll: 10/10 presentation, 9/10 taste- does NOT taste like your regular sushi, this taste of luxury ingredients and let me tell you about the presentation. It comes on a boat , yes, a freaking boat, then Daniel (the amazing server) poured some liquid that made steam evaporate out of the boat. Breath taking view!!!! #2. Tres Leches: 7/10 presentation, 12/10 taste, 10/10 texture. sooooo I have had looooots of tres leches in my lifetime and I am also a baker, so trust me when I say that this one easily tops the list. It was decadent and perfectly flavored all around I'm devouring the rest of my tres leches as I speak, and I am about to take the fattest nap ever so I'll end this review here.
