We came here randomly because I wanted to try it . They weren't super busy since we came at 5pm. They have a pretty large selection of food, ranging from American style pizza / French friends to Chinese food and some Japanese food . They have Chinese style pig feet !! I was shocked , I have never gone to a buffet that has pig trotters . The pig feet were not bad . The rest of the food was just ok, it just looked like it had been sitting out for a really long time . The raw oysters were not edible. Decided to try out Mitsui Buffet, and upon entering I noticed an odd smell in the restaurant. The interior was quite dark with plenty of seating. I stopped going to the Mitsui since the pandemic in 2020 because when they re-opened their prices almost doubled & quite honestly the quality of their food had gone way downhill. Asked for a to-go and a food holder was given. Then you go in and they have a large variety of options to pick. Some didn't look real fresh, but thankfully a lot of it did. Plus, o just didn't get what didn't look fresh. I got a lot of different tasty items to split for lunch. That included a fresh sushi bar area. Lots of options! Even got mini donuts for dinner. Checked out, the worker weighed it, and I paid for it. Good price for all you get! It's clean & safe inside. Music playing. Lunchtime! I set it up to make it easy to split. My family and I were frequent visitors here, and they consistently enjoyed the food. The staff here are friendly and always pleasant, and my son loves playing the claw machines. However, the prizes can be notoriously hard to win, even after numerous attempts. The ambiance here is mediocre. I decided to write this review because I've noticed signs of pest problems during my last visit. There were tiny baby roaches on the food bar and even on fresh plates. I witnessed another family request a full refund and leave due to roaches on the food counter. Additionally, I've recently heard from a family members' friend that they were served tea with a big roach dead inside the kettle! Be aware of the sanitary conditions. I honestly love Mitsui we've been coming here for years and have never had any issues or problems. The service is great everyone there greets you with a smile and even the kitchen will be helpful if you request anything. All the tables are always clean and so are the plates and utensils. Maybe I've eaten here too many times but they're going downhill. A lot of the food isn't fresh even when they open. The stir fry tastes wrong. The sushi could be better ask for spicy tuna. First visit here with my mom as she has been there before. Food was cold. When I told one of the waiters he walked over to the buffet area and spoke with one of the workers. On reading the reviews it seems that this is a known issue. I'm surprised the health department hasn't visited them as they are required to keep food at a particular temperature. I had been there before. so I went straight towards the crawfish and ate almost a hole plate. before my boyfriend saw a cockroach crawling around in the food. The food is pretty average as far as Chinese food goes. I'd say that you'd probably find the same quality Chinese food at most Chinese food places. I'm not a big fan of the price, it's very expensive to eat here. The prices are somewhat justified by all of their offerings, it's just not reasonable for the quality of the food. The service is great! We really enjoyed the help of our waiter. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. The restaurant has a very nice interior. The seats definitely have some wear on them, but I like their table layout and their bar layout. They offer buffet-styled Chinese food so all the tables lead to the buffet bar and the bar is just a straight line in the back of the building. Came here for lunch on a Monday. Order drinks and pay at the front register, then help yourself to the buffet. Lunch was $16 per person which was reasonable considering the variety and it was all you can eat. The sushi and tempura were good. They had a variety of entrees including shrimp, tofu, fish, beef, pork, and chicken. There were also egg rolls, soups, dumplings, shumai, and a variety of fruit. This place has the worst vibes and food. Mind you it's like 80 degrees hot inside when you first walk in. It is very dark too where from the outside it looks like it's closed, and when inside you can't even see what the quality of, food looks like. Such bad quality food, they basically don't want you to see your food lol. Hot, and dark restaurant, and only offering soda refills every time you get to 50% just to fill you up on their bubbles. The chickens duck, and pork all dry and mostly bone or fat, oysters look like it has been sitting there a long time where it's not fresh, and jelly has formed around the oyster. When we got there barely any sushi, half of all the plates were empty . And the sushi guy disappeared and stopped making sushi all together, pure disappointment and rip off. Not even closing time, and at 8pm, they started closing the fondue machine and soft serve ice cream machine the only 2 good desserts there. Leaving the warm jelly and disgusting self serve scoop ice cream left (very sticky ice cream scoop) ew. Wouldn't recommend anyone to eating here for Chinese food unless you like it salty and dry and bland. Not for Japanese food either if you just like every sushi roll with 90% fried dough or 90% rice and a sliver of seafood on it. Such sadness.
