We sat in the enclosed patio and it was a little warm, but away from the noisy dining room. This buffet is loaded with a large sushi bar, dumpling section, multiple rice sections, classic chinese take out options like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, sweet n sour pork, an course chow mein. Not to mention a build your teppanyaki area! Everything here is made fresh, including the sushi, which was one of my favorite items. There's literally four sushi chefs making it constantly so as soon as the plates are empty, they can be refilled. That's basically the same strategy for all of the stations here. As soon as anything started to run out, the staff was refiling it. My kids loved it with my son trying his first raw oyster... he's not a fan, LOL. I suggest coming for lunch, you'll be saving about $10 and get primarily the same meal.

Our large party was automatically charged a 15% gratuity, yet the service didn't justify it. Our server only brought water once and never refilled drinks till we were leaving. We were seated at the only table they have for large parties, located in the back near the dessert area. The table was wobbly, appeared to have a folding table added to make room, and was cramped and uncomfortable. What I don't understand is why large parties are charged extra when the seating and service are no different from any other table in the restaurant. If you're paying more, there should be better accommodations or added service, not the same experience everyone else receives. After two disappointing visits this year, I won't be returning. It's unfortunate because I used to love this restaurant. I suggest to go to another place for large parties or for business events. just fyi it was almost $300 for 5 adults 3 children. Also on a previous visit I went two hours before closing the food quality is extremely horrible and they don't refill the food anymore. They started mopping it smelled like dirty mop. Still charge full price. They just let you eat whatever is out. Sad to say

On the second of January, I took my mother out for her birthday at the new Mitsui Buffet. Upon our arrival, the employees greeted us with smiles at the door. The restaurant appeared busy and we waited about five minutes for a table. We sat in a different part of the restaurant, which had neatly folded napkins rather than the paper napkins. The server appeared hostile towards the employee that escorted us into the room. The server spoke angrily to the employee in her native language; however, he employee said nothing in reply and left the room. The server came over to us and said, "What you want to drink?" I replied, Sprite; she countered with, "how many?" I answered, one??? We ate for approximately 45 minutes and the server left us unattended for the entire time. I asked other employees for refills, napkins and utensils; and they asked me to ask my server. The server finally came and asked how we were doing. I asked for refill and she handed me the bill. She placed on the table and said, "Tip not included." She stood at the head of the table watching us eat for about five minutes and I asked her again for a refill. When she returned with my refill, I handed her my credit card. She returned with my card and a receipt. I view the receipt and from behind she reach over and said, "tip not included." I told her gratuity is included because there it is not possible to have a $20+ tax on a $77 bill. She replied, "Not tip! Tax!" I asked if I could have the bill corrected and again she said, "Not tip!" I told her I'm not paying until she corrected the 20% tax. She returned and the bill appeared corrected at $69. I paid and told her it is not illegal if I do not tip for hostile service. read more

other reviewers must have had a really bad day or expect a $60 meal for 7.98(the cost of lunch) or 11.98(supper). We are fussy eaters who eat asian and every other kind of food worldwide and we love this place and go back often. In fact only the most expensive buffets in Vegas can surpass it. The Chinese buffets in Fresno don't even come close! Xlnt sushi of a dozen kinds with a japanese sushi chef in residence, or pick out your abundant fresh ingredients for a custom fried plate of meat and veggies or soup or choose from about a dozen well made Chinese dishes and for lunch 3 or 4 good seafood choices or 5 or 6 for supper and a great salad bar and good fresh fruit etc etc. Your drink is refilled promptly without asking. Went to visit a friend in fresno and my gf was really feeling japanese, my friend told me there is this new buffet restaurant opened that is cheap and have great sushi. wut??! Yes cheap and sushi in the same sentence. I had to say the place is much much better than I expected. It have a huge sushi bar with alot of different selection, salad bar, hibachi grill, and also a great selection of chinese dishes. At last the service is great! and how can i forget the great selection of beer and sake. Great price. Great selection of food. If you feel like something light then there is a salad bar and soup. If you are really hungry they have all your favorites and have extended their selections to include hot wings and pizza and hot dogs. They have a decent selection of sushi and they keep it fresh. There is only one thing i wish they would do.... and that is put in a Pho Soup station! How cool would that be? Be able to eat all the Pho you want...? This is where I go where I want to eat crab, sushi, lobster, as well as food like pizza and dessert. The staff is incredibly helpful and frequently stop by to make sure we have everything we need. The food area is also clean and there is a ton of different options you are able to choose from, no matter what you are feeling. The noise level is also low and it's a nice place to sit down and relax and eat new kinds of food. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is wanting to try different kinds of crab and lobster and shrimp. read more

Like: So cheap! :) I don't want to complain about the food quality, because, come on, all the food is for 6.99 (during the lunch hour early brid price $6.99 between 1pm to 3:30pm) I used to go to panda express but now I go here. Their fried rice, chow mein are good compared to panda express. I really liked the noodle soup that the chef made us out of the ingredients we chose. Dislike: Sushi rolls are lack of fish, cakes were dry, cream puff was soggy. Overall services were very good. I enjoyed eating here. read more

The parking lot is huge and it may take a walk to get in. The outside of the restaurant looks nicely Asian. Greeters are kind and select a table with you. The soups are tasty and hot. Choices of food range in Chinese, American, Japanese and other Asian flavors. Salads and fruits are available. Seniors have specials on Thursdays but it could be busy then. Was reading through the comments and noticed people saw mouse and cockroaches at the place. Those are not just a mouse and cockroach -- that was Ratatoullie (head chef) and his sous-chef roachboy. But in all seriousness, that's not acceptable and hopefully some FDA inspection people will come take a look. Please do not eat sushi at this place. You might get food poisoning one of these days. The sushi is not cold enough preventing bacteria from developing. They also do not want to make and put out new sushi until almost old sushi is gone. The Chinese buffet section is typical Chinese buffet. Wow, the food quality here is horrible!!! The fried item like shrimp, tempura, squid, egg rolls are hard, cold and shrunk. And the rest are dried up. This is 7:45pm Sunday night. It came with a cup of wonton soup which was absolutely delicious! There was a short wait for the food which was fine since we always have plenty to talk about. The food came out and the portions were huge. We all liked our food but None of us could finish lol. I did need to add a bit of soy sauce to my noodles, it was a little disappointing that the sauce didn't have more flavor. I was also disappointed that there was so much of it that my noodles got soft quickly but that was minor. EMW is out of the way but hopefully I will be back soon to try more items.

After driving around all morning I was ready for some Chinese food. First time here & I let Yelp guide me. Inside was very clean & service was quick. Ok we were the only one inside. I ordered the lunch plate of mushroom chicken with fried rice, one egg roll, and egg drop soup. I burned my mouth on that soup. Tell me now, why Chinese restaurants always keep their soups super hot! It would be great on a cold frosty day, but today is nice sunny day. Egg roll was so-so. The main dish was flavorful and it smelled good. I could smell the fresh garlic. The chow mein noddles were at the bottom and crispy. I'll say this much, my lips will be moisturized for 48hrs with all the oil on my plate. I didn't finish all and took it to go along with my Iced-Tea. Time to cash out. Now here is where it gets tricky. I love tap pay, Apple Pay. So when I asked if I had to go to the register or can I pay here, my server went to retrieve the machine. Well the machine was her cellphone. I tapped pay not once, but twice. It showed two pending payments on my end, but nothing on her end. I didn't have my cards with me, because Apple Pay always works for me. Well she didn't feel comfortable that the charge went through so I used a different card. Tap pay as well. Payment was denied on her machine, but showed pending on my App. So now we're talking $60 pending for a $20 lunch. Ok let's try this. I manually entered my card into her phone and I signed, again no charge. So I told Cindy, I don't have my cards, but I can get cash and come back and pay. But if these pending charges go through, you'll be hearing from me and I'll let all of the Yelp universe know. She then went back to the register and tried her own card and said that her card worked. After all that, I went to my car and wouldn't you know it, found my physical card. I went back inside and we ran the card and Voila, charge went through. See Cindy, I was good for it. In no way was I trying to get a free lunch. Now, I hope your business does the same. I'll be watching both of my accounts closely for the next 24hrs.
