Found this on Yelp. Got the mushroom Swiss omelette and it was amazing. Really great flavors. It was special, I loved it. Coffee is both super expensive ($2.50) and not good. It's bottomless which I think is how they justify the cost but it's really weak and I think bottomless is standard for breakfast joints anyway. Server was friendly but then utterly disappeared. The food is great with a very good selection to choose from on the menu plus they have daily specials. The coffee is free refil and the mugs are large. Have had the breakfast and brunch items. Wonderful portions. The staff cleans the tables with solution and fresh cloth and that is rare to see. Everything was clean and the presentation of the food was spot on. You will most likely have to wait to get in, but that is due to customers sitting around like they rented it for birthday or a hall. Not business issue, just the arrogance of some people. read more

We had a fantastic Sunday Brunch at Mitzi's this past weekend, our first time there. We had a lot of people telling us how good the good was and we were not disappointed at all. I chose the Chip Beef over Texas Toast with home fries and it was EXCELLENT! I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms but the earthy looking creamed chip beef was very tasty, not too salty and way better than the normal stuff you see at diners. My wife chose a simple Egg Sandwich with homemade sausage on an oversized English muffin ( also home made ) and that also was very good. Their sausage is really good, not your frozen variety for sure. Our total bill was about $22 plus tip which I thought was very reasonable considering the quantity of food you get and especially the QUALITY. I've seen others mention it's like having a trendy NYC restaurant in the Lehigh Valley and I totally agree. There was nothing on our plates that was frozen or even resembled what most Valley residents are used to. But the nice thing is that it's a very casual place with great food and I think most will love it. It does get busy and it's small inside so expect to wait....but trust me, it's worth every minute and every dollar. read more

For the most part, my life resolves around breakfast. I think it's not only the most important meal, but the tastiest (when prepared well). So it's no surprise that when I heard about Mitzi's table opening not far from my house that I had to go try their breakfast offerings. My family and I went on a Friday morning, and got there shortly after it opened. We were greeted warmly and seated and a very comfortable booth. We all noticed the unique colors and patterns throughout the cafe, and all agreed it was one of the most well-decorated eateries we have been to. Anyway, about the food....we went in with high hopes, based on the few reviews that were out there and I must say, we were not disappointed at all. In fact, we were elated by the quality, taste, and presentation of everything we ordered and tasted that morning. I chose the wild mushroom fritatta, my husband got the tofu scramble, and my daughter had the very large bowl of yogurt, fruit and granola. We also shared one of the delicious homemade sticky buns (get it grilled!) along with what was the best house-made breakfast sausage we have had in the valley. Both entrees were cooked and seasoned perfectly, which you don't always find in egg dishes at other breakfast haunts. I was so happy to not have to add salt to my fritatta, so major props to the cook for the spot-on seasoning! Even the breakfast potatoes that accompanied the entrees were well-seasoned, crispy and full of flavor. My daughter's yogurt ended up being shared by all of us not only because of the sheer quantity that was delivered, but also because of how much we loved the flavor and texture of both the yogurt and the granola. Last note about the food, if you are there for breakfast, you MUST try the sausage!! I find myself dreaming about it quite often. :) The service was great, and could have been horrible because I believe there was only one waitress working the entire floor that morning. She managed to handle all of her tables extremely well, constantly checking on each of us. She even found time to chat with our table for a few minutes, making it an even warmer and friendlier experience. I am counting the days until we can go back. Hoping to try brunch this weekend, though it's hard to wait until 9 AM for such yummy food! We didn't have a reservation for our Saturday morning breakfast, but our wait to be seated was only about 15-20 minutes. I truly enjoyed the Jamaican-me-crazy coffee and Eggs on an Island breakfast. Mitzi's serves a lovely breakfast! It's one of the best and healthiest options in this easton area. Both my grand mom and I had the wild mushroom omelette with breakfast potatoes. The omelette was huge and it was loaded with all kind of mushrooms. The breakfast potatoes were amazing! Big hunks of potatoes, very crispy on the outside and soft inside. The menu seems to offer plenty of gluten free options but when I asked for a gluten free toast the waitress said they don't serve that. For all of the soup and sandwich and toast options they have it could be nice to have a gluten free option. Coffee was strong and tasty. Overall a great option for this area! read more

Pleasantly surprised by this diner like establishment. Right off the bat the staff is friendly and treats locals like family which always warms the heart. Our waitress was great and quick. We asked for recommendations and were happy with what we were recommend. I got the Chorizo Omlette and wow. Chorizo tastes fresh and juicy, marinades the omlette so the tastes lingers even on the eggs. My hubby got french toast and was his sweet tooth was happy. Brunch here on a Sunday morning is excellent. We sat without a wait and unlike many smaller restaurants it doesn't feel crowded when full. Service was good as well. We started with the sticky rice and it was yummy and huge! It was a meal in itself. My partner got the scorcher burger and really enjoyed it. There was a mistake and they accidentally put bacon on it l, which was said to be an awesome accident. I had the Florentine Benedict and I was happy they were able to cook my egg properly (poached hard-which never happens). Lastly we got chai teas and we weren't very impressed. Has potential, as a few of the dishes were interesting, and perhaps my expectations were too high. The menu selection is our type of food, ranging from Asian, to Southern, with a few NOLA items. The black sticky rice was tasty, but quite sweet. The beignets were overcooked with way too much confectioners sugar poured on top that had to be vigorously tapped off. Don't expect anything like Cafe Du Monde. The Southern fried chicken was a few strips of chicken on top of a lot of piquant flavored Mac & cheese which didn't do it for me with a side of quite average slaw. The Asian soup bowl was slightly above average. Decent sides of ham and bacon. It's difficult to rate a restaurant on brunch alone, but our takeaway was hit or miss and average food. I have been waiting for a place like Mitzi's Table. I was finally able to stop by to see what this little hidden gem in Bethlehem was all about. I was not disappointed, the quality of the food was beyond my expectations. I felt like I was eating breakfast in my own kitchen. I look forward to trying other dishes offered at this Brunch Place. Great little place! Don't hesitate to eat here. I only have two small reasons they didn't get 5 stars. First the coffee was not that good. It was very bitter. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it would have been the best sausage gravy I have ever had if they hadn't skimmed on the gravy. "Woohoo! As good as it gets"- Yelp's words for 5 stars and that sums it up. We go here every Saturday for breakfast. It is a fresh take on a 50's style diner. The owner can always be found behind the register while our favorite server Nickie is so kind and attentive. Even if the atmosphere and service were sub par the food is amazing! I am not just saying that. Everything on the menu is great from the rye toast to the house made apple sausage. The specials are always fun to try as well. A very unique offering I ahve never seen anywhere else; you can get lunch at 8:30 am! You want mac and cheese for breakfast? Have at it! We had a "cousins" reunion in Bethlehem this past weekend and there were 7 of us...3 from NY, 2 from NJ, and 2 from Philly. One of the cousins is Gluten Free. We googled places for brunch and Mitzi's came up. OMG!!!!! This place IS BEYOND FANTASTIC!!!!! The food was out of this world, the place was sooooo festive for Christmas and our waitress was like one of the family!!!!! They made a Gluten Free dish for my one cousin and she was THRILLED!! My all-time favorite meal of the day is brunch. This is a perfect meal, because if you're lazy like me, you don't want to get up early to eat breakfast...but I digress. Anyways, my alter-ego and I rolled into Mitzi's Table around noon this (Sunday) afternoon. There were people waiting outside, and we inquired to find that our wait was about 20 minutes. Fine, we added our names to the list and promptly walked next door to Josh Early Candies to screw around. Luckily, we didn't miss our place in the queue, and walked inside the contemporary rockabilly diner themed space. Gabby was our server, and she was pretty nice. We ordered the original eggs benedict and the classic breakfast with bacon. My husband won the food lottery today: he raved about every item on his plate. The eggs were perfectly cooked, Gabby brought SEVEN (7!) house-made hot sauces to our table and gave us a funny little hot sauce speil, the rye toast was fantastic, and you pretty much can't go wrong with bacon. I thought my eggs benedict were good, but not rave-worthy. The jumbo english muffin didn't work because I felt like the ratio of bread to egg and ham was way off, I also felt like I could have had more hollandaise sauce - but that's a personal preference. The eggs were well cooked, the hollandaise had excellent flavor, and the ham was the best ham I've ever had on a restaurant eggs benedict = A+. Let's take a second to talk about the side of fruit too: I usually dislike restaurant fruit bowls because they're full of lifeless budget fruit, but this bowl was better than average. About half of the bowl was pineapple (yay!), several slices of perfectly ripe cantaloupe, and watermelon, plus a couple of slices of that evil honeydew melon - I have yet to meet anyone who raves about honeydew (I digress again), and an orange slice. Pretty good. I do have to knock them a little bit for a couple of things. Apparently you have to walk to the back of the restaurant to pay, that would have been nice to know at the end of our meal, but not a big deal. There was some weirdness surrounding the credit card transaction. I wasn't standing there, but I think they're either moving away from accepting credit cards, or they're asking customers to tip in cash so Mitzi's doesn't have to pay the ~2% credit card interchange fee (**nor taxes on server income). I'm very excited to see that this restaurant supports local businesses. Been here a few times for lunch. Had eggs Benedict with a coffee and it came out to about $15! It was good but a $15 breakfast? My wife ordered a stack of pancakes and it was doused with sugar. She said it was OK and decided to not eat the top one. The waiter was very nice and brought her a new one (with syrup on plate. She ordered no syrup). I eat out all the time and use a credit card. What's up with not being able to leave tip on card? The owner said he has to pay fee for tips and it comes out of his pocket. Boohoo. Take it out of the 2 eggs and potatoes you charged $15 for. read more

I have only been here a few times and I've always really enjoyed the food. Being a fellow breakfast cook means I have fairly high standards and they were all met. Food was delightful and I love the fact that they make some of their own baked goods. As for the service, my waitress was kind, straight forward and informative. Our food came out quickly... I was ready to make this my new go to breakfast spot. Then it came to payment. I asked the waitress if the took cards, she said "yes, but we Won't be in a month" so I went up and apologized to the man as I handed him my card. Said I'd know for next time. He didn't seem pleased with that what so ever. I got the tude. I offered to even go out an grab some cash from an atm that could be near by. He said there were none around. I felt very unwelcome by his responses to me. I left thanking them and waving good bye. I got nothing in return, not even a "thanks for stopping in!" My 3 stars here has nothing to do with the food or our waitress. Food was excellent. Waitress was very sweet. However, the NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK SIGN on the door is taken very literally. I had a cup of water and lemon from the hotel that I was promptly asked to throw away at 10 in the morning. Again, food was good. Upon checking out, my wife was told, we're a small business we prefer you tip in cash. Rather than ask, how was everything? She was told how she should pay. She also overheard a gentlemen talking about opening later in the morning because they were slow. I'm assuming they aren't slow because of the food, but rather the poor customer experience. We won't be back, too many good options in the Valley. read more
