We were on our way back home from Grand Lake. We were hungry. My husband wanted breakfast food. Driving thru Castle Rock. I noticed this Café. My husband had the French toast and eggs. He said that was the best French toast he has ever had!! I had the egg sandwich that also was good. Miyo also has lunch items. We will be back. Sorry no pictures!!! I cannot understand the good ratings for this place. We stopped for breakfast on the way to Denver airport. I ordered blueberry pancakes. They came out barely warm, no butter, not enough syrup (which I asked for more and they poured it from a store bought jug of syrup.) The pancakes were tough and all the blueberries were dumped in the middle and were a mushy mess with none on the edges. Dining partners was ok he said. I will never go back here. read more

Love MIYO! Recently visited on Saturday the 15th of June and was not disappointed. Ordered the three egg omelette with bacon, sausage and American cheese. Order came out piping hot loaded with bacon, sausage and american cheese. I also had it smothered in medium green chili. Can't wait to come back!! read more

I like the items on the menu. The execution was a little off in that the cheese in the center of the breakfast burrito was cold and having cold in the center of food you expect to be hot is not ideal. They are a little short staffed but they were attentive and service was fast. I will definitely go back and give them another try. read more

I want to preface this by saying if you want great breakfast food then MiYo is the place to go. The food is delicious and the service is always good. My family and I go to MiYo every chance we get. There is likely no better place in Douglas County for brunch than MiYo. That being said, today I had an experience I will not forget. I came for breakfast. The couple at the table next to us did not receive their food for over 30 minutes. As it turned out, the cashier did not press 'send' on the register in order for the kitchen to prepare the food. They received free meals for their next visit to be compensated for the mishap. The owner, Donna, came by their table. She told them the "cashier is the last person I would put on the register! This is what happens when you are on the spectrum. She wasn't my hire, she was Shelly's hire!" Then she proceeded to laugh. I couldn't believe it. My heart hurt for this poor girl. As someone who works with juveniles on the spectrum as well as having a young cousin who is also on the spectrum, those words hurt. At the end of the day, that's someone's child. I'm sure the young cashier didn't want others to know she was on the spectrum. Most of all, being on the spectrum isn't something to laugh about to your customers. Its disgusting. I would hope that if she has children, people treat them with more respect than she showed to that young lady today. I expected better and this cashier deserved better in that moment. Props to Shelly for giving this young lady a chance. She is doing a great job. read more

Donna the owner at Miyo café in Castle Pines off of Happy Canyon and Santa Fe is the worst owner of a restaurant I've encountered in awhile! My six-year-old and I went in to purchase breakfast after church this morning, and she came up to me and was rude with attitude asking about a mask. I showed her my medical exemption card, and she huffed and puffed and walked away. I ignored it, continued placing my order, and she was whispering to the other workers about me. Whatever. While the food was being prepared, I walked to the board of over 100+ business cards and put up a little brochure for our domestic violence nonprofit ministry. She came over and yelled at me in front of others and said that I had to ask her permission to hang a brochure when there are tons of others there. I know darn well all of those people did not ask permission to throw their card up. See picture in comments. It is sort of an unspoken gesture that business owners do for their patrons. But I guess not in my case since I have a medical exemption and cannot wear a mask! I'm discriminated against because of that. Horrible! I told her it was a battered women's ministry brochure, and she said I was supposed to ask! Who is this woman and why does anybody even eat at this café! She went back to where the food was being made and was continuing to whisper, huffing and puffing. I didn't trust my food at that point so I said I wanted a refund to the guy at the counter. I can't believe she would treat someone with a medical exemption so terribly! Stay far far away from this place. Worst ownership and customer service! It was all about control. The fact that I went into her place with a medical exemption and dared not to wear a mask, and then the fact that I didn't ask her permission to put a brochure up with everybody else's, even though I just gave them business and tipped them for food that I ordered at a register! Oh and the funny thing is that I'm only 5 feet tall. Everybody else was in the restaurant around me eating without a mask, and they were only about a foot shorter than I was, while they were sitting in the chairs. We stopped her based on your reviews on our way home from a camping trip. It ended up being the perfect place for brunch with Kids. It was nice that we got to order at the counter and then go sit down. We just happen to be a long line of people. My husband and I both had the skillet with green chili. I would recommend the hashbrowns rather than the country potatoes for this dish. We had one of each and the hashbrowns soaked up the green chili better than the country potatoes. read more

So far, one of my favorite breakfast burritos I've had in the great-breakfast-burrito-state-of-Colorado. Supper yummy. And they have macaroons. MACAROONS! When I ordered 6, the guy at the counter looked like he'd cry. "Ma'am, we only have 6 macaroons for the day," he said. My reply? "GIVE ME THE MACAROONS guy!" Another cool place about this little joint is the tea selection. I'm not a tea junkie, but i love the opportunity to try new stuff. They have a wall of just about anything you want. Loved it. The owners will come around to the tables and check on you. They truly care about how their guests are being treated and how they are liking their experience. Kind of loved that, and loved the TLC they gave the kids. If Miyo was in our town, we'd be here all the time. read more

Why are there not a million cafes like this , everywhere? Simple, classic, well made, generous portions, healthy or decadent options, cute atmosphere and super friendly and attentive service. First time discovering MIYO cafe after we tried Danielles a few weeks back - decided to drop by and check it out. The set up is a bit unique, in that you pay and order you breakfast before-hand, and must wait in line,. We discovered the wait was around 20 minutes, but well worth it! I ordered the Huevos Rancheros. The Green-Chili was to die for. Portions just right! My date ordered the Breakfast burrito with Spinach Hollandaise - outstanding. Prices were pretty low given the area--$10.99 for the huevos and just $6 for the breakfast burrito! We are definitely gonna be back! read more

Why do we come back? Probably because it is close to where we live and prices are average. Food is ok. Not great, not bad. Time to put in an order at the counter is extensive. Lines quickly forms on Sunday mornings. The 'bakery' counter is tragic. Bakery items are wrapped in plastic and do not look appealing at all. Makes one wonder how many days the items have spent on display.. Ordered the Dick's Plate and it came out alright. Served on a cheap looking colored plastic looking plate. Although we live in Castle Pines, this is the first time we visited Miyo and it will be the last time. If you are not a regular expect to wait a long time for your mediocre food and the cashier will allow regulars to cut line in front of you. Our food was delivered to the wrong table and was later moved to ours. Eggs Benedict was overlooked (hard yolks) and egg sandwich was run of the mill. For regulars, you receive the gold star treatment. Otherwise you are steerage. read more

My brother and I came in today for a quick brunch and the line was maybe 10 people deep if that. It was anything but quick we waited over an hour for food, which came out missing several of the components of the dish. I think a lot of fathers day were ruined today! If they could fix the timing issue I could see this place getting 3 stars easily. This is a great little spot for breakfast! But read further to see why it only gets 4 stars. The green chili has a good spice without too much heat. The chorizo is made locally and tastes great. For the most part, all the food is pretty darn good. HOWEVER....although the pancakes are very good, they are immediately downgraded to mediocre at best due to the ice cold syrup and rock hard, nearly frozen butter! And don't tell me that serving butter at room temperature is a health code issue, it isn't. I love great pancakes, but WILL NOT be eating them at MIYO when I get the craving. Stumbled upon MIYO while out working in my new territory and decided to give it a shot for lunch. Shelly and Mackenzie were both super sweet and helpful as I was a first-timer... I opted for a tuna melt on sourdough with american cheese and lettuce accompanied by some french fries. My meal was brought right to me at my table even though this is more of a quick service restaurant and it came out in less than 10 minutes. My sandwich and fries were absolutely perfect, just the right amount of everything! Although I hadn't eaten a thing all day and was very hungry, the sandwich was such a good size that I could only eat half. I took the remaining half and my fries home and got to have it for dinner which heated up nicely in my toaster oven. Service was lovely and the food was terrific. If I lived in the neighborhood I'd be a frequent customer, I'll just have to settle for visits when I am in the area for work. Highly recommend... They have a whole menu full of options whether you're looking for a sandwich, burger, salad, breakfast or fresh baked pastries... Really looking forward to my next visit :) read more

Had a very nice breakfast here this morning. We ordered the French Toast, Denver omelet, Blueberry pancakes, 3 coffee's, Small Orange juice, Cinnamon roll and a donuts. Total cost was $34.17. Not bad for three hungry adults. The coffee was robust, hot and fresh. Our food arrived quickly and had good presentation and tasted great. If there was a downside it would be the orange juice, it tasted like frozen concentrate and the serving was not a full glass. Received about 6oz for $2.25. On my next visit I'll try the smothered breakfast burrito. The outside seating is nicer then inside only because of the loud music, especially at 9:30am. We are always lookokng for a breakfast / brunch spot. This place is actually closer than Castle Rock which doesn't really have anything were interested in. This place is a nice find. We chose the outdoor patio seating which was perfect for a nice sunny mid-morning. My wife ordered the breakfast quesideias which were good but huge. Portion was enough for 2 - no complaints. I went for the SW Benedict - pulled pork w/ green chilli which was also good. I like zip so I would recommend grab the Chaloua. We Will be back read more
