Friendly service, no pressure and a calm place to eat great food. Whether it's your first time or your hundredth time everybody knows everybody and it's a welcoming atmosphere. Donna continually walks around and says hello to everyone. The staff is courteous, kind and always have a smile on their faces. The food is outstanding, delicious and cooked to order. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but I felt like the food was just average and could have used much more seasoning. The staff were friendly and we felt like the wait time for the food was maybe a little long but it seemed like there were maybe not a lot of staff in the kitchen. Traditional eggs Benedict was really good, although the eggs were fully cooked, not poached. Hash browns were fantastic, as well as the breakfast quesadilla, breakfast sandwich and southwest skillet. The fresh fruit was amazing too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the lack of poached egg, and the very few vegan options (avocado toast), even though it said there were on yelp. Stopped in today after a trip to Tony's Market. Nice little place that is light, airy and clean. I ordered the huevos rancheros with mild green chili - which would have been a better first taste if they hadn't accidently served me HOT green chili. They quickly corrected the error. The dish was good and the portion large enough that I took half home with me for later. My husband had fluffy bacon pancakes that he enjoyed with a side of bacon. Add to our order two mediums coffees and we quickly had a $20+ breakfast - a little on the pricey side. The food was good, the service was good but I'm not going to make a special trip out to overpay for the food. read more

I was taking a long leisurely drive to nowhere in particular one random Saturday morning and I came across this listing on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Aside from the odd location (Hwy 85 and Happy Canyon) in the weirdest collection of retail/food/misc stores I've seen in a while. The place was pretty crowded and the service at the counter as well as the wait for my breakfast burrito was quite long. But I guess I didn't have anywhere to go so no harm. The new owner, Donna, was friendly and welcoming, and the interior of this place has the decor you'd expect from a contemporary coffee and breakfast joint. You order from the counter and then take a seat and your food is brought out to you. The menu is large - they have just as many choices for breakfast and lunch as any sit down waiter restaurant. Breakfast Burritos, Pancakes, Omelettes, Bagels, Coffee & Teas, etc. I had the Sausage Breakfast Burrito with a side of Blueberry Dollar Pancakes and they were both very very good. I had to pack away half the burrito for later. Like I said it did take almost 20 minutes to get my food but I guess sitting outside on a nice May Saturday morning taking in some sun isn't a bad way to start your day. I thought the prices were very reasonable, my two items came to just under $9. They have a bunch of outdoor seating, I believe I counted 8 tables, about half have umbrellas. Recommended! read more

My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a bit of breakfast; we each opted for a burrito (Benedict for him to reserve for me) and asked for them to be smothered with green chili sauce. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. Lots of feelings and really delicious flavor in that sauce. We ended up ordering a piece of the cinnamon coffee cake to go; the owner explained that her husband baked it and used applesauce. I am eating the other half of it now and it is moist and flavorful and perfect with my cup of English breakfast tea. If you're in the area and looking for breakfast or lunch, do yourself a favor and stop by this charming place. As for me, I'll be back as soon as I can!! read more

I've been here for 2-3 fabulous breakfasts in the past so I expected sandwiches at lunch to be great. I was visiting my children, family and welcoming a new granddaughter so we were eating a lot of takeout. I picked up 4 takeout sandwiches. I was surprised to note only 2 tables were occupied so I looked forward to lots of attention to detail with my order. Unfortunately 3 of 4 sandwiches were made incorrectly. Between mayonnaise when specifically asked to delete it, no chips or fries to no bacon on the chicken sandwich which included it on the menu, we were very disappointed. My daughters encouraged me to call. When I did the next day, the guy I spoke with said he'd "make a note" of my concerns. Also, unfortunately, the food was very average. PS. The bill was $48! Our family eats at MIYO literally every week, and we love it so much! From breakfast items to lunch, I think we have tried them all and have NEVER been disappointed! Every time we have company in town, we go for breakfast and MIYO gets rave reviews from all! Donna and Gary, the owners, are wonderful people, who take pride in their business. They routinely visit each table chatting with guests... they even have dog bowls and dog treats as well as snacks for kids. All of the employees are kind and professional. Tried Miyo Cafe while doing last minute Christmas Shopping. The cafe was nice and welcoming however, we waited 35 minutes for our food. One of the employees said they were behind because they had a lot of delivery orders to fill. The owner come to check in on us after they got our order wrong and apologized. My first time at this restaurant 2 weeks ago my experience was awesome. Great skillets, great French toast. Today's experience was way different. First , we waited quite a while to place order. The lady at the register cash register told us to wait because she had to count the money in her cash register. Not a smart thing to do , first for safety reasons, and secondly, a no no when you have customers in line. This is something you should be doing at close. The French toast was a real disappointment, doughy and not cooked properly on the inside. We sent it back hoping that they would make us a new one. Instead, they sent back the original one reheated. My husbands pancakes were hard. He had a hard time cutting them with a fork. Overall horrible experience. I visited Miyo today on my way to horseback riding lessons. I've stopped in two other times to get pastries to share with the wranglers at the Backcountry. They love the thoughtfulness and I love supporting small, local businesses. This Sunday morning, I arrived around 9:10 AM. There was only two groups ahead of me and they were lining up towards the dinning room...so I got in line behind a family of 5. There were other people coming into the cafe and I stayed in line where the line originally started when I walked in. The counter personnel did notice me and other customers in line saw that I was standing behind the family of 5. When the family finished, a man stepped right up and started to place his order. I politely notified him that I was next in line. However, when I addressed the counter boy he did not acknowledge my status in line and indicated the line always directed towards the "other" door on the opposite side of the in the counter. I'd have to get in line - behind 20 other customers when I was there before everyone arrived! When I advised him that I had been waiting for 10 minutes while the family in front of me ordered, he didn't take my word for it. HE IGNORED ME and proceeded to take the man's order. I was appalled and didn't expect such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was so angry that I walked out. What a way to start a beautiful Sunday with INCOMPETENT SERVICE. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES. read more

Our new favorite breakfast place!! Love love love this small business nestled in castle pines! Their outdoor seating is perfect to enjoy every morning! I always get the breakfast sandwich and whatever coffee they have. The food and drinks are delicious and it feels like home!
