The order was ready in about 10-15 minutes, which was clutch, and when I walked in the place was super clean, organized, and full of people dining in--always a good sign. The chicken wrap alone is huge and could easily fill you up, but I went all in and added a plate with the beef & lamb patties. Everything tasted super fresh and perfectly seasoned. The patties were juicy and flavorful, you can tell they're made right. The hummus with chickpeas was insanely good--I mixed in the rice and arugula and it turned into the best side on the table. Fries were on point too, and they hooked it up with extra sauce which made it even better. Portions are generous, quality is there, and everything just hits. However, the main issue was that after picking up my order and returning to my office, I realized there were no utensils included. I had to drive back to the restaurant, and when I explained the situation, the cashier told me, "it's not my problem." That response was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. It's honestly hard to find good schnitzel anywhere, so when you see it on a menu and it's executed like this, you appreciate it. The falafel was just as impressive, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with sauces and sides that made every bite interesting. Dessert sealed the deal. The baklava had those authentic rose and floral notes, and the cinnamon milkshake was wild in the best way. Service really stood out too. The general manager came by, answered all our questions, and gave us real insight into how the dishes are made and what makes them special. Mizlala is soo good. I like all the proteins except for the chicken ones. Falafel is super crispy but soft in the middle. Kefta is flavorful and not gamey if you are worried about the lamb. Fish kebob (salmon) is my favorite! I can eat the whole plate in one sitting. Hummus, fries and crispy broccoli are great sides. This is more of a take out spot since even the dine in plating is to go type of boxes. Very easy clean up since you only need to grab a lid and bag when you leave. read more

Wow! These sandwiches are massive--and absolutely delicious. The falafel is done right: crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. The chicken, all dark meat, is generously layered with three distinct fillings. The top is fresh and leafy, the middle features a bright cucumber-tomato-tahini mix, and the bottom has a savory blend of sautéed green and white veggies--possibly green pepper or cactus with onions. Whatever it was, it worked. That said, eating it was a bit of a challenge. The size made it tricky to hold, and midway through, it became a bit of a mess--tough to finish in one sitting without sacrificing some to the trash. The dining room is on the colder side and could use some feng shui adjustments for comfort. The staff was kind and checked in on us, which was a nice touch. I used to love this place, but quality control has really dropped lately. They have had broken ordering machines for more than a few weeks now. Please get rid of that tacky equipment that tries to advertise beer to me as I complete my order and go back to real human interaction. Also, go back to having a sauce bar. The individual and wasteful plastic cups and plasticware they bring out is just another slap in the face when you dine in. It's surprisingly never busy for dine-in, but plenty of people come in and out for delivery and takeout. Street parking is usually easy to find, too. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable given the high quality. Halva Cinnamon Shake - 5/5 This creamy tahini and soy milk shake is sweetened with dates. The tahini has a nutty peanut butter taste. They also thoughtfully serve the shakes with a spoon to scoop all the bits of halva. It's like finding hidden treasure! Fries - 5/5 Delicious thick cut fries with crispy outside and fluffy inside. The sumac adds depth and umami. Pargiyot Chicken Pita - 5/5 Juicy marinated skinless chicken sandwich. Make sure to request plenty of sauces and pickles. My favorites are Israeli Pickled Cucumbers, Harissa, and Vegan Garlic Sauce. (Although Trader Joe's Garlic Sauce, the Zankou Chicken dupe, is way better. Something to think about if you get takeout.) Schnitzel - This was a surprising find! I wish they would answer their phone or improve the takeout order instructions, because it doesn't allow any special instructions. The fish is great, but if you don't want your fish to be raw and pink inside (which I do not like), you have no way to communicate that. It's a drag when you order takeout food to have to cook it once it arrives. Once they approve the takeout order instructions or answer their phone, they will certainly get at least 4.5 stars from me, but otherwise, it's a 3, based on the fact that they don't communicate with their customers, which is a very detached way to do business. read more

I found this place on Yelp on my quest to find some Mediterranean food near the Hollywood area. I had the falafel plate with hummus and the Israeli salad. I had the hibiscus tea for my beverage. It was a little on the sweeter side but it was delicious. The food was fresh and delicious. The falafel weee nice and hot and the garlic sauce was a. Ice addition. The location has outdoor seating and indoor seating you can seat yourself after you order and a server will bring your food. All the servers were very friendly and accommodating. One of the servers offered to top of my tea and take some garlic sauce home for me to continue to enjoy at home as I had plenty of leftovers . read more

I wanted something quick and easy and options are limited within the area besides higher-priced, sit-down establishments such as Mother Tongue and Mr. T. Being so close, I took advantage on a weekday afternoon. Rounding out today was the Mejadra rice minus garbanzo beans, carrot salad, and the fries minus the sumac. Order was prepared pretty quickly, and everything was packaged nicely. The fries I've had before from someone else, so I knew what to expect. The rice was really good, but there wasn't any parsley although I didn't opt to have it removed. But the carrot salad was really good! I didn't think it was going to be spicy, but this certainly had a kick, and I enjoyed it. Ended up returning later in the week ordering the rice, Jerusalem salad, and pita bread. Although the latter two were good, I would skip those for the .50 cent carrot salad again. I realize by ordering these sides/extras, I can get a semi-decent 'meal' for around $10 which is great for the area. Although it may not be authentic to some, I have nothing to compare it to. I got the salmon salad, brussle sprouts and Rose (wine) The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad was a mix of a number of different leafy options as well as some mint and olives and all the the other Mediterranean options which was super cool! I would say that that the fish was seasoned a little heavy, and the brussle sprouts had a little too much dressing (oil and vinegar I think). The flavors were out of this world. But to eat a lot of those brussle spouts with that much dressing felt like my salt levels hit the roof haha The rice and pita bread and hummus was a-ok and they served wine up in a plastic cup Not a big deal But the place gives off the vibe of a really minimalist approach to service, which is cool, but then there is a preset tip option on the kiosk which is odd. At this point, you're giving a tip for someone delivering the food, the taste of the food, or someone cleaning the table. Food is delicious and there are so many different options on the menu - different sauces, vegetables, salads. I think the quality of all the food here is high so you can't go wrong with whatever your preference is on the menu, but here's what I've tasted at different times: Crispy Broccoli - a MUST. So good. Such a good crisp, amazing flavor, the sauce is delicious and the peppers add just the right spicy kick. Oyster mushrooms - Also delicious. Rice - really flavorful and love the addition of lentils and a few chickpeas on top. Falafel - Really good, but some people I was with said it wasn't flavorful enough. Pita & hummus - Good, nothing to freak out about, probably 8/10. Various chicken / kebab dishes - all good, but nothing that was world's better than other Mediterranean places. (I think these dishes are usually pretty good almost everywhere!) Tahini milkshake - we got the caramel one, and this was the biggest miss on the list. It was not thick like a milkshake at all, more like a loose Frappuccino consistency. I thought it tasted good, but my friend who ordered it was definitely not pleased thinking they were getting a milkshake. Overall the vibe for eating there felt like a nice fast casual, but with food that's a way higher quality. The staff when we were there were super nice, chill, easygoing. You self-order at the electronic screens as soon as you enter, you grab your own table number next to the ordering screens, and find a seat anywhere that isn't reserved. But good news: They're back where they belong. Yesterday's visit demonstrated that they've taken steps to address the problems I ran into before. In short, the food continues to be delicious (I had the chicken pargiyot again, accompanied by their carrot salatim and the fab lentil soup)--that was never the issue--but this time, service was once again on point (they've made some changes in their team to assure this). Glad that Mizlala is nearby and while I think it's a little on the pricier side you definitely get a lot of food and it's a good mix of choices. You order from a touchscreen and while the plates can be a bit high you do get a lot of sides to choose from as you can see from my photo-the kefta plate came with hummus with a choice of salad, rice or soup. You do get some sauce options but is it just me or do you think tahini should kind of just be a 'given' and I have to choose between that and the pickled beets-which I usually associate as a garnish? Anyway, I will say though that the food is really good-the kefta were grilled just right and the hummus was a healthy portion and so was the soup. I've been back and all told with drink and extra side the plates make a good spot for a fast-casual dinner and having a pita would be a good option for lunch. read more

So this is the sister restaurant of the main restaurant located on Adams boulevard. Frankly, the Adams boulevard location is much better because they have an accommodating patio area. This restaurant has issues with its layout inside and out. Outside, it's super hot without any airflow. On the large window so around sunset or late dusk. It's very sunny and it's hard to stay cool. Inside the setups like a cafeteria you would see in college, but with an area for a lot of food pickups. Pickups. Frankly, it's not very inviting... Also, the tables were quite dirty and there seem to be no manager on duty. Duty. So that was disappointing.. So the food itself is fine, but there are some negatives with the food items. First, the salad that comes with entree orders is pretty nasty, I don't think we've ever eaten it because it looks and tastes poor. There should be an option to swap that out with something else. The side dishes are decent, but they're an acquired taste. If you're not from the Middle East, Lebanon or Israel, you're probably not going to get too excited about them. What this place really needs is potato and or sweet potato side dish. Be warned that this cuisine will fill you up pretty quickly... Come hungry! Another bummer was when I found out that within a year they raised their prices on their entree items by 3 to 4 dollars. That is a huge 20 to 25% increase in a tough economy. read more
