Love this hole in the wall place! Seating inside is more like bar seating area but they sometimes also have outdoor seating depending on weather. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu as they grill everything as you order so it does take some time but their meat is always tender. Staff is also very friendly, I'm definitely a returning customer ever since I moved here in Hollywood area! Parking is a bit hard if you're not local here so that's the only downside but you can't blame them for that. read more

Hollywood Halal til 2am? I guess this is it. Prewarn:portion is small. It's like poor Asia where you get a big bowl of rice with your 2 meat slice vibe. Get their whole chicken early or mid day, while it's fresh. Get the beef filet, skip the kebab. They freshly grill the skewers, I got the lula kebab and it was flat in taste. For being pretty dry and not juicy at all, there were no grilled taste. It seems like it was overcooked on medium heat. No texture nor flavor. Hummus had more flavor tbh. The tabouleh was decent, but felt more like a typical tomato cucumber salad (unless they swapped it without telling me) The rice is pretty plain, a bit dry, a little flavor. The garlic sauce is more oil than garlic, you can see the oil leeching out instead of being smoothly emulsified. One kebab for $23? 4.7 stars? That's Hollywood I guess. After standing in line one hour for rush tickets for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Pantages, we had some time to kill before the show so we decided to grab dinner at Skewer. The restaurant itself is small with only countertop/bar seating along the edge of the restaurant, but they also set up some chairs and tables outside in front of the restaurant that our party of 5 took advantage of. The food was grilled to order and we ordered several things to share. Portions were generous and all the meats were delicious, though prices are on the higher side. The sides and dips were excellent as well. It did take some time for the food to come out since it takes time to prepare, so be aware of that. Probably the only thing that made me knock down a star is that we were all very desperate to use the restroom after taking public transit to LA, so we asked upon entering the restaurant even before we ordered if there was a restroom we could use. The lady up front said yes, no problem, and we proceeded to use the restroom, but when it came my turn to use the restroom when I exited the older female employee very emphatically said "ONLY" and pointed to the sign saying "Employees Only." I explained to her that the other employee had said it was okay plus we spent over $100 at their establishment but the whole experience really made me feel terrible. Aside from that incident, the service was actually very friendly and welcoming, and the lady upfront spoke several languages including fairly good Spanish to boot. I have had A LOT of Mediterranean food and this is DEFINITELY the best I've had!! The service is outstanding! When asked when they recommend they didn't disappoint! The food is sooo fresh they don't cook it until you order. The place is a tiny hole in the wall but the flavors and service makes up for the size. Went here on Friday night and can positively say that the food is fresh and very tasty! Didn't have to wait long to be served. The French fries were steaming hot and fresh out of the fryer, and the beef kafta was nicely seasoned and very delicious. The tabouleh salad was bright, zesty, and full of lemony good flavor. There are a few small tables outside and the weather was nice. Sitting on Hollywood Blvd, this is a prime spot for people watching, and you get to see all sorts pass by as you eat. The only thing I couldn't stand was the super loud, techno club music they were playing from the restaurant. I really was not sure what to expect when we ordered the whole chicken for $30. Wow! It was a lot of food. Four of us ate from it and did not finish it. We have smaller appetites, but still, it was a lot of food for the price we paid. It is a small shop. We were in it after seeing a show at The Pantages. It is about a block north of the theater. Never go to this place. I ordered multiple skewers of chicken and beef and when I went to pick them up, they placed it in multiple different containers. Each container had only two bites of meat that I discovered after taking it home. The whole package looked full of food, but in reality, it was 2/3 empty packages on top of each other. The meat was not well cooked. It was raw inside and the beef and chicken was like a rubber . the quantity was like a half a plate of meat for the entire order when I ordered 6 skewers of meat. I also realized that they don't even follow the sanitary rules .They don't use gloves to deal with the food and with bare hands, they touch your food to put in a packages. read more
