Honestly I feel like the best possible review of this place would come from a dancer at Deja Vu next door, and sadly I am not that person. I did this as a pickup run with the spot right next door, Brot. And honestly... I liked Brot more. This place has always been weird to me because I walk past it almost daily. Sometimes it's kinda busy, and sometimes it's literally just four dudes standing outside smoking cigarettes. There's never really an in-between. They also keep adding more sidewalk tables which makes it feel like they're expecting a crowd that never fully arrives. This is definitely more street-food energy than restaurant energy. You're basically eating with your hands outside on Hollywood Blvd and there's nowhere to wash up beforehand, which honestly matters less if you're doing takeout anyway. I also kinda wonder if the neighboring spots share stuff with each other because some things looked suspiciously similar. The fries looked basically identical between here and Brot, so who knows. I was looking for a place to grab food before our show at the Pantages Theater and this place popped up in my search. Plus, it was really close by to the Pantages. It's located along Hollywood Blvd, and the only parking, other than garage parking, is street parking. This is literally just a takeout counter and unassuming, but don't let that fool you. The menu is pretty simple, either beef & lamb mix, or chicken options for a 6" or 12" wraps by themselves, or you can do a 12" or 24" plate option in which the wrap is sliced into sections for easier sharing/eating. My bf and I opted for the 24" beef & lamb mix plate. The plates also came with pickles and fries along with a tahini dipping sauce. It was so good! The meat was juicy seasoned well and it mixed with the onion and tomatoes well. The fries were crispy too. Seating wise there are about 3 tables with black chairs. The drink prices aren't listed but there's a fridge you can see. Cans were $2 and he gave the water on the house which we weren't expecting. This was a great find nearby and definitely could feed up to 3 people. Nice easy casual bite especially if you don't want a sit down restaurant. read more

We got into LA after dinner time and we're staying in the Hollywood area. I was a little snacky and just wanted a quick bite to eat while checking out the stars. Enter sincerely Syria. It's a little unassuming storefront with a few outside seating tables. Mainly for to go purposes. The chicken shawarma was delicious, not dry like at some other places. When looking online, this place had a lot of great reviews, but it was empty when we got there. A little skeptical, we ordered the beef wrap to try it out. It was one of the best beef wraps we had! It was so full of flavor and had a sauce that paired extremely well with it, so we had to try the chicken too. While I've had chicken wraps that were better, this one was still full of flavor as well. What is nice about this particular wrap is it isn't loaded with salt, like other places, which makes it a lot healthier to eat. Even though my expectations were low, this place completely went above and beyond for flavor and quality. This is definitely a place I recommend! The owner seems to work here by himself. He works late hours, takes the order and cooks the meal himself. His business is a great place to support if you're in the area, and you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is chill too. Stopped by and picked up a small chicken wrap for lunch. Paid about $9 bucks for it and within 5 minutes my wrap was out. THAT THING WAS PACKED WITH FLAVOR. Tell me how I've driven past Sincerely Syria a thousand times and just finally stopped in this weekend. My friend and I loved it so much, we went multiple times this weekend. Like...we fell in love. The location is shady, at best. The staff is polite, at best. The seating is thinly coated with dirt, at best. The parking is sparse, at best. But the freaking shawarma, y'all...it is THE best. This is Syrian style shawarma and you can either get 6" or 12" with chicken or lamb & beef. They also have plates but those are the same wraps, chopped into pieces and served with the trimmings. Los Angeles has a huge number of delicious revolving meat spots being sliced into their own signature pitas. They opened in 2021, taking over what was Hollywood Shawarma at this location on Hollywood & Vine. The flavors are wild, their signatures spices are splendid, that cinnamon tip delights - just so freaking tasty. With only two options, I can promise you'll eat good since I tried both the lamb & beef mixture which also came with onion, tomato & parsley trimmings and a tahini-based tarator sauce. While my preferred protein option, the chicken, it came doused in toum (whipped garlic sauce) and special Syrian pickles. Officially obsessed with that garlic sauce, swoon. They had no issue removing pickles for me the second time I popped in, btw. Ready for me to blow your mind? Most nights they close at Midnight, but Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays? Dang, this place is surprisingly, and sincerely, delicious! Very indulgent. Fries and deliciously packed, creative bite-size slices of a crispy shawarma wrap, covered in a pile of french crunchy fries with garlic dipping sauce, and unexpectedly tasty pickles. I ate it sober, but I could see it being REALLY delicious on the opposite end of the intoxicated spectrum. I loathe Hollywood Blvd (parking, traffic, etc), but it's on a semi-quiet stretch. Just pull over, flash those hazards. With NO LINE, our "2 plates" order was ready in 10-15. Traveled really well, as we brought it home. There are a few tiny tables there, but who wants to eat on the Walk of Fame, with constant cars passing. Pass. If you ARE drunk and walking, the wrap by itself is good to eat on the go. Great shawarma, both chicken and beef! Fries are hit or miss. Sometimes they are great, sometimes they are cold, soggy or stale. It's a tiny little walk up shop so the wait times can be a little longer than expected, even when you order ahead of time. They also always forget to give me 1/2 and 1/2 when I order the big sandwich plate. So make sure to check if it will be an issue for you. I still give them 5 stars because it's good halal food, and even when they mess up the 1/2 & 1/2, I like both anyway. On top of that, they charge tax even though it's take-away and they don't even have indoor dining. The tables outside are on the street and don't belong to them. Also, even if you pay with cash, they still charge you the Visa/card fee. Very disappointing experience and scam. read more
