When we tried dinner here for the first time, we were blown away by their menu full of protein, vegetable, desserts, and drink options! We decided to try their Kyoto spare ribs. OMG we could not get enough! Their combo pan fried noodles was perfectly crisp and full of vegetables and different kinds of meats! Our egg puffs came out nice and hot, per our request for dessert, and was a perfect ending to our meal. Music Panda and other music shows playing on the flat screens drew our attention too. Service was excellent also, to the point of one of the staff taking our take out containers we had filled, and put our containers in a plastic bag. I immediately texted my friends and family to tell them to try Garden Cafe!

This is a Cantonese style cafe inside the Pacific Pearl Mall food court …read more It has many HK style dishes: shrimp won ton noodle soup , congee , stir fried beef noodles , fried rice ,pan fried fish cakes with broccoli. My favorite is the imitation shark fun soup in bowls . Large size is $10.99 , small size is $6.99 . The soup is tasty with the right consistency. Inside it has a lot of chicken shedded in very fine pieces. Black mushroom and wooden mushroom for textures . I had the same item in San Francisco. It costed more and it did not even tasted as good and did not have so many ingredients. I had been back for the soup may times .

What a pleasant surprise! I would definitely eat at HK Congee Noodles again…read more My daughter and I didn't know what we wanted to eat for lunch, so we came to this Asian food court. With not many places open, HK Congee Noodles had both the drinks and plates we wanted as well as the right prices. In addition, the man at the counter was so friendly, especially compared to some of the other restaurants at the food court. I was craving Chinese sticky rice and was excited they had 2 sizes, so I ordered a Large. My daughter ordered this dish that looked like thick noodles that were SO DELICIOUS! (I may have eaten more of that dish than my own! Teehee.) Even though I ordered everything "to go", the man at the counter could see we were planning to eat at the table, so he still brought us bowls and utensils (not plastic ones), so we could properly eat there. It was really unexpected and appreciated. Next time, I'd like to try their congee and one of their noodle dishes since that's what they're named after! [The only reason why I took off a star is because the XO Rice Noodle Rolls did not come with any garnish or vegetables like in the photo. It was plain...just noodles. The flavor was tasty, but it didn't look like the photo. Also the Thai iced tea did not have any ice. These aren't deal breakers, and we still enjoyed our lunch very much.]

For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. Overall, I thought grand cafe definitely scratched our itch for Cantonese style dining experience. It typically comes with great food, good service, and a bit of nostalgia from being from the Bay Area.

My brother and I met a few friends here for dinner on 11/28/2025. At around 7:15pm, the place was completely full. Fortunately, our friends arrived a little earlier and secured a table. The interior was clean. A couple TVs on the walls were showing different sporting and news programs. Their menu featured a wide array of non-Americanized Cantonese fare. We decided to do family style and got half a dozen dishes to share. They were: Beef Filet with Mixed Mushrooms, 1lb of BBQ Pork, Fujian Fried Rice, Beef Chow Fun with Gravy, House Pan Fried Noodles, and Salted Pork Bone and Peanut Porridge. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes. Overall, I was impressed by quality and authenticity. Despite the slightly higher price point comparing to other similar restaurants, they didn't skimp on anything. The rice and noodle dishes were loaded with delicious toppings, and the taste was on point. The BBQ pork and the beef filet dish were both fantastic. The meat/fat ratio of the BBQ pork was just right, and the beef filet cubes were tender and flavorful. The porridge was just okay. My mom's version still reigns supreme. Service we received was very good. Our server was very friendly and gave us helpful suggestions. She did forget our iced water, but I am willing to overlook that. I got a chance the chat with staff before we left, they were all very genuine and friendly people. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here. The food was authentic and tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want authentic Cantonese food but don't want to pay the super premium price, this is definitely a good option for you. I will return. 4 solid stars.

The presentation was great, but the real standout was the sauce and the rice 5/5. The sauce has that authentic Hong Kong cafe flavor that hits the spot perfectly. On top of that, the restaurant is incredibly clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the pork chop itself. I'd give the meat a 3/5; it was just okay and lacked a bit of depth. It was really missing that classic hint of Shaoxing wine to bring the whole dish together. Still, it was a great meal overall and I definitely recommend checking them out!

It was delicious and the seafood were cooked to just right , tender and flavored. I ordered the cream of corn & chicken soup . Portion size was generous and it was well made . The restaurant has been opened for 3 years . It has a free big parking lot and near by street parking . I have not visited the cafe because the Yelp reviews were not too good . This time I could verify that the chef 's cooking were good . The menu is double the size of most HK style cafe and look yummy .. I also enjoyed their interior design and great customers service . Shall be back soon with friends to try other menu items .

They used to accept only cash which made it inconvenient, but nowadays, they do accept credit cards as well. Love it. Excellent customer service too. I like the friendly and welcoming staffs here. Great first impression after so many years. Authentic Hong Kong foods. If you're coming from the South Bay Area, this place doesn't disappoint. We don't have very good Cantonese HK style cafes that serve good A/B/C/D/etc. breakfasts and most places are overpriced. Good value for good foods here. I paid $16 with taxes included for B-breakfast, so I left them $4 tips. $16 for everything was considered cheap! I had french fries/hash brown/two eggs/chicken steak/broccoli/carrot/etc. and comes with hot beverage of choice. Very fulfilling. Delicious foods with authentic drinks. Everything was generous in portions and delicious, so I ate the entire plate of foods along with my hot cup HK milk tea. No leftovers. Yummy! I'm really loving their big breakfasts now. I do miss all the good and affordable Hong Kong cafe foods. Having excellent service is a plus. Television was turned on with HK news. Loved the old interior vibes and beautiful foodie ads on the walls. There's lots of tables and chairs inside too. All positive. I'll be back.
