Salt and pepper fried chicken wings which
    Marian Y.

Our group of three went here for lunch. It's a nice, clean place, with comfortable booths to sit on. They had such a big menu with plenty of food selections. We ordered the salt and pepper fried chicken wings which were so crispy, the braised beef ribs with eggplant in clay pot, and our favorite the combination crispy fried noodles. Would love to try more of their dishes when we're out in Dublin.

Food is mediocre and on the salty side. Good service with lots of HK dishes to choose from but unfortunately not the best. Spacious restaurant and place picked up closer to dinner. Started with the cream of corn puff pastry. The pastry had no puff or layers to it and the cream of corn wasn't creamy. It was more of a corn egg drop soup. The preserved duck egg and pork congee had lots of meat to it but was way too salty. Server was understanding and let us swap to just plain congee. The fried mushrooms were crispy but oily. The baked pork chop rice was underwhelming. Had a pinch of cheese and wasn't broiled. Fried rice with egg on the bottom with a good ratio. Sauce wasn't very tasty and more like just canned tomato sauce. Pork chop was decent. Not much HK food options here but worth a try. Plenty of parking in this plaza.

Came here for lunch on a week day . Ordered the wonton soup was authentic and delicious. The server were nice and friendly.

We really like HK style cafe and I keep going back to this place! Curry fish ball, beef chow fun and calamari were so good!

I came here with my family on Christmas day for lunch and it was delicious! Service was great and they were decked out for the holidays. We ordered a variety of dishes to share family style and they were all great. My favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Service is fast and efficient. Their menu has a variety of HK dishes which I love in addition to the family style dishes. I would definitely come back!

太好吃喇! I have been absolutely craaaaving HK cha chaan teng food lately, and it just so happened that Hong Kong Cafe was in the area where I was going this past weekend. Boy does this place exude nostalgia for me. Growing up, I used to go to HK every year, and seeing the wall with the various MTR stops brought me back. It's super nice since I also get to practice my Canto (which needs work lately). I'm trying not to lose whatever I remember, so I've gotta practice when I can. The staff are super welcoming, and service is so fast and efficient. The menu is extensive, and you'll always be able to find a dish that suits your tastes/cravings for the day. It's a little pricier than other HK cafes I've been to, but honestly everything is in this economy, and the portion sizes justify the prices. This place was so good I literally went back a day later since I was in the area again. Both times I ordered the classic HK milk tea. I wanted it iced and in the large size, especially since both days were super long days for me. The second day, the tea was even stronger. I haven't been able to find a place that does HK milk tea like this in a hot minute, so I was very happy about it. Be warned, the tea is really strong here! The first day I wanted soup, so I went with the classic 雪茶肉絲米粉 but subbed out the mai fun with ho fun. I was very surprised when the food arrived to my table in less than 10 minutes. HK Cafe doesn't skimp with the toppings here, and the ho fun was perfectly cooked with still a good chew to it. The broth was simple, yet flavorful and comforting. I will say I wish there were more preserved vegetables, since I love them, but overall it was a great bowl of noodle soup. The second day I went with a baked dish, since that is peak HK style food. My favorite baked dish is the 白汁海鮮意粉, and this one took a lot longer to come to my table (for obvious reasons). When it finally arrived, the cheese on top was bubbling and beautifully melty. There was a good amount of seafood, and plenty of spaghetti. I had to take my time eating it because it was so hot. I also couldn't finish this dish and got the rest to go. This cha chaan teng has plenty of seating room, and is honestly a nice place to dine. Both times I was seated at a large booth. There are several tables to accommodate large groups as well. Since I went early both days, I noticed there are people waiting outside the door for them to open at 11 am. Hong Kong Cafe is definitely high on my list of spots to revisit, and if you have never had HK comfort food, this spot is the epitome of it. I'll definitely be back soon to get my HK comfort food fix.

Was craving hot n sour soup, noodle soups, and something on the lighter side. Chinese comfort food is def my go to on a cold, rainy day (especially after having greasy food from Great Wolf Lodge - meh). We came by a little before 7 and snagged a table for 4 right before the rush. As expected, the restaurant was busy and staff were working hard, but still greeted and seated us right after clearing our table. Now that is service! Restaurant was clean and seating was comfy - we weren't all crowded into a small space with little room to pass each other. Items ordered: Wonton in hot chili oil- large delicious wontons in chili oil that provided a little kick. Seafood congee- love their consistency and that this is loaded with plenty of protein. Salt and pepper pork chops (minus spice for kids)- our kids' usual favorite Beef stew macaroni soup- delicious and perfect after a day of swimming Hot and sour soup- nice piping hot soup loaded with shrimp, tofu, fungus, and bamboo shoots Wonton noodle soup- large bowl of noodles perfectly done and flavorful wontons Large lemon iced tea (less sweet)- Love this tea! All for $111 before tip! Can't beat that! Def a steal compared to greasy food I just had.

Good stuff! This place is a truly authentic Hong Kong style Café. We got takeout here for a weekday lunch and it was already kind of busy right after they opened for the day. Order was called in and was ready in less than 20 minutes. We ordered some of the usuals. Pretty good portion sizes and heavy on the MSG. My lips are still tingling, lol! Dry Beef Chow Fun - exactly as you would expect it right down to the tenderized beef. This one is a crowd favorite, and you can never go wrong with it. Pretty good "wok hei" sizzle on this one. Green Veggies with Supreme Broth - this one's also very nicely done. Veggies were fresh and tender. Broth has a little bits of ham and garlic cloves in it and it is extremely flavorful. An umami bomb! We used leftover broth to cook frozen won tons and it was awesome! Dried scallop and egg white fried rice - DH really wanted to get this one. Flavors are mild, but it really stands out is the texture. It is fluffy and chewy at the same time. You will get addicted to it! Salt and pepper pork chop - this one's also really good. Breading is flavorful and crunchy. They also give you a good amount of meat. Be careful there might be little bone fragments in it. They have interesting fusion items, the "Chinese style Western Meals", which are like the reverse of Americanized Chinese food. These are weird to Americans, but popular in Hong Kong. Things like baked spaghetti in a casserole dish and pork chops. We didn't try any of these. Unfortunately we don't have an itemized receipt, but it was $83 for 4 items including tax, but before tip. Overall, a great place for a casual, MSG-licious meal!

Hong Kong Cafe is located in the same shopping center in Dublin as Paris Baguette and Mad For Sushi, directly across the street from 99 Ranch. My buddy The Shermanator was in town from the East Coast on 02/15/2025 and we decided to meet here for dinner. We walked in at around 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the staff. It was already pretty busy, so we had to wait a few minutes before a table was available to us. The interior was spacious and clean. The most eye-catching decoration was the ceramic tile mural of Hong Kong MTR stations. Their menu featured a wide array of Hong Kong cafe and Cantonese fare. After a few minutes of deciding, I got the Baked Portuguese Style Beef Stew with Rice, while The Shermanator opted for the Baked Portuguese Style Chicken with Rice. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes. I was pretty impressed with my dish. The sauce was very authentic. The balance of curry and coconut milk was just right. The meat was very tender, and I loved that they gave me fried rice instead of plain rice. The Shermanator seemed to enjoy his dish as well. Service we received was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The Shermanator was accidentally given spaghetti instead of fried rice for his dish. Once the error was noticed, they immediately worked with him on an agreeable solution. Kudos to them for making things right. For Hong Kong cafe food, the pricing was a bit on the high side. The two rice plates cost more than $50 after T/T. Great spot for some authentic Hong Kong cafe food. 4 stars.

Classic HK Cha Chan Teng food, wonderful, delicious and nostalgic. Hong Kong cafe hits a bunch of the buttons that makes me both nostalgic for HK, and comforted at the same time. Soak in the wonderful wall art and vibes before you flip through their huge menu of all kinds of HK classics. I recommend trying the chicken steak, it's marinated and prepared very well. The French toast with peanut butter is a must if you've never tried it. Service is efficient and rapid. This place can fill up quickly on the weekend. Lots of parking.

Beef Stew & Won Ton Noodle Soup
    Doreen L.

Every time I eat here, I enjoy my food. This time was no different. We ordered beef stew with won ton noodle soup, minced pork with soft tofu, rice, beef porridge, and pork and preserved egg porridge. We shared everything except the porridge as I'm not a preserved egg person. I normally come on the weekend which is crowded and has a wait list. Since this is a weekday, I was immediately shown to my table while I waited for my friend to arrive. Our order was taken promptly. I like that our food is always delivered hot, the way it should be. I've been to other restaurants where the food is just warm...like it had been sitting for a while before they delivered the food to our table. The wait staff is friendly, efficient, and attentive. They always refill our water glasses without our asking. They gave us different size containers to bring our food home. It's easy to pay the bill as they bring their payment equipment to the table. The women's restroom is a single restroom and is clean. I like that there is ample parking which helps to have a stress-free lunch. I always look forward to the next time I eat here.

I want to start by saying that the food here is actually good. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed our experience. The staff was unaccommodating and not communicative. We came with a baby and politely asked if we could sit at a corner table where it was quieter and less crowded. Our request was denied without much consideration, and we were seated at a table that eventually became surrounded by other guests. Later, we asked if it would be possible to switch tables to a more comfortable spot for our situation, but again, the staff refused and did not offer any alternative or attempt to help. Good food alone is not enough to make up for poor service. Hospitality and basic consideration for guests--especially families with a baby--should be a priority. For this reason, I'm giving this restaurant one

It's kind of pricey, especially compared to the original location in Oakland, but the food is authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese style cuisine. This will definitely satisfy your carb/MSG cravings, lol! We got takeout for a weekday lunch. This is our usual order now: Fresh sliced fish porridge, $14.95 - they always do a great job with this. This is the Cantonese equivalent of chicken noodle soup. The texture is just right, there are plenty of fish pieces, and the flavor is classic, right down to the ginger slivers. Shrimp rice noodle roll $9.50 - DH's favorite dim sum item. It is tender, and the shrimp are large and crispy. Comes with the classic soy-based sauce. Crab meat braised E - fu noodle $24.95 - DH's favorite noodle. This type of noodle is very soft and absorbs all of the flavors from the crab pieces and sauce. Great choice for seafood lovers! Shrimp silky egg chow fun $24.95 - little one's favorite. This one just has such a great combination of flavors. The velvety "gravy" really ties everything together and makes it go down smoothly. This one has flat noodles (cheung fun), like the classic beef chow fun. Comfort food for sure! Sautéed Chinese green $22.95 - this looks to be pan seared choy sum. Seems kind of expensive, but they actually pack a lot of greens into the box. They don't have the veggie clay pot anymore, Barbecue pork $15.95 - they do a pretty good job with this one too. The flavors are really good and interestingly enough it comes with these little beans on the bottom. Pork tends to be a little bit on the lean side. Portion size seems okay. We didn't get the beef chow fun because we didn't need that much food. But that one is a classic here and they usually do a great job with it too. Food is usually ready very quickly and everything was steaming hot. Staff are efficient and friendly. Give it a try; this place is consistently good and I highly recommend it!

Pro-tip: For tea adventurers, try a fusion teapot (e.g. Chrysanthemum + Bo lay), combo tea flavors is different and neat when i crave for a different drink. I'll be back for sure. Hope you do too!

Everything was generous in portions and delicious, so I ate the entire plate of foods along with my hot cup HK milk tea. No leftovers. Yummy! I'm really loving their big breakfasts now. I do miss all the good and affordable Hong Kong cafe foods. Having excellent service is a plus. Television was turned on with HK news. Loved the old interior vibes and beautiful foodie ads on the walls. There's lots of tables and chairs inside too. All positive. I'll be back.

You can order Western breakfast like toast and eggs with pan fried pork chops, deep fried fish and pan fried filet of chicken . The breakfast comes with free drinks of your choice ( ice or hot ) , milk tea , coffee , lemon tea and other non caffeinated drinks . We have ordered the pan fried pork chop . Portion is generous and the pork chop is tasty and tender . Unlike most places the pan fried pork chops are dried and tough z Great customer service . Very efficient. We came on a weekday at 8 am . After 9 am it got busy and you may have to wait for a table . The restroom is roomy , clean and organized. Good for wheelchair or handicapped people. If the lightening could be brighter , it will be more comfortable and pleasant. We have tried many different breakfast items , like fish ball fish filets in broth with vegetables . They are all good . You can tell this is a top notch breakfast place by the long line there .

Comfortable atmosphere and pretty clean. Customer Service - 5/5 Customer service was solid. The server was attentive and warned me the baked spaghetti plate would be hot before serving it. Small details like that always make the experience feel better. Food - 4/5 4.5/5 Dish Ordered: Baked Spaghetti One of the classics at a Hong Kong Café. Honestly tasted like childhood. The sauce was delicious, rich, and comforting without being overwhelming. Everything was cooked just right and came out piping hot. Hit or Miss: Hit. Definitely something I would come back for again. 3/5 Drink Ordered: Hong Kong Style Milk Tea It was okay. Nothing bad about it, but nothing super memorable either. Pretty standard flavor overall. Hit or Miss: Slight Hit. Would drink it again if I was already there, but not something I'd specifically crave. Additional Comment: Overall, pretty solid experience. Nothing was mind blowing, but everything was done well. The baked spaghetti was definitely the highlight for me and the service helped make the meal enjoyable. I'd come back mainly for the spaghetti and a comfortable casual meal.

Parking was challenging as it was the farmer's market. They use Yelp waitlist. The place is small and we were a party of 5. Won ton noodle soup - Came out fast. It was just okay. Mainly for our toddler. Pickled mustard greens with pork noodles - you can select your noodles. This was basic but decent. Not as good as those you get a Taiwanese cafe. Baked Shrimp over rice with portuguese sauce - Tasted like curry to me. I rarely get the baked dishes because they tend to be a bit on the heavier side. My husband and in-laws like this. Upgraded this with soup and garlic bread - the soup had a sour aftertaste - I think this is from a can. The garlic bread was good! Chicken Katus w/ rice - Surprisingly good. My toddler loved it. Their milk tea was perfection (we had dim sum yesterday and the milk tea was watered down) Heavy on the MSG - I passed out. One unisex large and surprisingly nice bathroom. I would still come back.
